System slows down during playback of 3 channels simultaneously
Hi all!
I'm at the stage of beginning with Labview (7.0, old I know ;() and try to encode a routine that reads data force 3 - axis load cell (400 Hz sampling frequency), it filters with low-pass filter simple software (cut 100 Hz) and the future written down into a data file if I use Matlab for plotting.) I met strange delay when I read the three channels at the same time and I'm trying to understand what has hurt.
Here are the steps in my code (I used
> example as a base): (1) I've initialized global channels, in which I put across the voltage according to the diagrams provided manufacturing
LC is physically connected to SG23/SC-2345 combo, which, in turnes, connected to the PXI-6221 DAQ card
(2) I've initialized a virtual channel for pxi-6221 so I can have control over its gain (+/-0 .5v, +/-1v, +/-5v, +/-10v) and the value of the gain for + / 1v, gives me the precision desired (at least I hope for that)
(3) wired global channels to the block of PXI
(4) set at 400 Hz sampling rate
(5) acquisition of start-up
(6) Split into three channels signal and connected a VI for filtering to one of them
The thing is, once I have started the program, everything is "moving" so slow that made me wander if I do things right.
Would be very happy comments
My VI:
The only thing you don't mention changing is the number of samples to be read. The VI you have posted a number of samples to read the value of 4000. If you change the sample rate of 400, then of course it will take 10 seconds to acquire as many samples.

Probable cause of the system slows down suddenly?
Hello;Your advice and help would be greatly appreciated.(1) the laptop became irritating suddenly slow!Slow start of Windows, open files running of MS anti-virus, slow slow slow internet access, the desktop icons disappear and reappear at the beginning of every task, etc. a moment.(2) I have run a scan complete, just in case there's a virus. It took ~ 2 hrs to scan ~ 1 240 000 elements. Also, I ran Disk Defragmenter in case space is the problem.(3) the unit is:... Toshiba Satellite P30 laptop, processor 3.06 GHz, Pentium 4, x 86 processor... Win XP Home SP3... Hard drive 100 GB, 80% available... 1.84 GHz, 512 MB RAM.. peripheral .no (not even a printer) attached to the unit.(Am I missing some relevant info?)(4) I also watched the start menu. Nothing has changed, always the same 6 programs on the start menu.Any suggestion (s)?Thank you.MonirThank you Jose andRobear to your quick and thoughtful answers.( 1) Please allow me little time to consider the proposal detailed Jose and Robear advice that MS is well aware of the problem and (hopefully) will come (soon) with an update to resolve the problem.( 2) in the meantime, I wonder if anyone of you has experience with the use of the freeware "CCleaner v2.34.1200:The developer claims that she cleans the system and optimizes the performance of the PC and it's free. It's absolutely fantastic!I downloaded and installed the package, but have not yet run it!( 3) the "CCleaner" seems well designed and comprehensive. It has many options for:.. .cleaning Windows & Applications.. .cleaning registry & Startup... Deleting temporary Internet files & programs... Bleach unused hard drive... Removing obsolete software... etc.( 4) the difficulty (for me) is that you cannot select the option buttons at random without knowing or at least have an idea about the consequences. The problem could get worse!( 5) for example, I've checked the box to deleteCookies or to theIndex.dat files (which I don't know what they are for, in the first place!).It will probably improve the performance of the system (speed), but could also block me of some web sites and would need re-subscribe, passwords, etc.Deleting Index.dat files can simply affecting the functionality of certain applications.I don't think that trial-and-error approach would work here. Will study more carefully "CCleaner".Any comments?Kind regards.Monirmonirg,
CCLEANER: This is my configuration:
Uncheck the box:
In INTERNET EXPLORER:
Last download location
History of AutoComplete form
In WINDOWS EXPLORER:
Recent documents
In the SYSTEM:
Clipboard
Memory dumps
Windows log files
Shortcuts on the Start Menu
Desktop shortcuts
In the commercial category, uncheck the WindowsDefender. With this checked remove history when the last scan was performed.
Cleaning DO NOT USE ANY Advanced options. DO NOT TOUCH THE REGISTRY OR TOOLS. At least not for now.
Make sure that you go to Options > Advanced Options anduncheck the box ' only delete the files in of Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours "before running a scan.
Suggests to save changes until you get to know and feel comfortable.
Personally, CCleaner is the only program that I apply to any computer that I repair. I have never had any undesirable results to use this program. It is on the shy side of what it aims to achieve and is not very aggressive in its changes. It allows you also to save changes and reapply them if you have any of the disastrous consequences by allowing the changes.
That being said - I can't say that the way I never realized no improvement after cleaning the registry!

Satellite S500-10F - slowed down and need BIOS update
Hello, I would like to know if anyone can help.
I work for a Borough Council IT Department, so it is quite safe to say that I know a fair bit on THIS and the side material things. We had an about 12 laptops Toshiba Satellite S500 delivered, 11 x S500 - 11 c and 1 x S500-10F. As we do not yet support windows 7 so he must rebuild in Windows XP, install the drivers etc, and send them to schools.
All S500 - 11 c were built and work without any problem at all. The only difference I see is that the model 10F doesn't have bluetooth so that the model 11 c. Model 10F take image ghost, created from the 11 c, but he likes to be restart every 5 minutes approximately and is extremely slow.
So I rebuilt the model 10F using our licenses CD XP SP3 Microsoft and started to install drivers etc. When I installed the software of card reader Ricoh the laptop again slowed down (about 5 minutes to start Windows). I used to have a similar problem with a model on the A300 range and I've updated the BIOS which cured the problem. I downloaded the one and only BIOS update on the Toshiba site for the S500 and when I want intsaller, he returned with a message that says "this computer is is not supported.
If someone at Toshiba can tell me where I can get an update of the BIOS that works for my S500-10F or indeed why my system slowed down to a snails pace after having installed the Ricoh card reader software I would be very grateful. I removed the software and now and disabled without success card reader devices.
Thank you very much
Warren Poole
I can see for this Satellite Pro model 2 drivers are available. The second is O2Micro controller version 1.1.4.207 card reader.
Have you tried to install it? -
Video games slow down the computer even when closed?
Recently, I replaced the NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE with a 8400 GS PCI Express so that I can play Call of Duty 4, Fallout 3, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, etc. After installation of the new equipment, several problems came. I have a 32-bit of Windows Vista Home Premium.
1. the "Windows experience index" could not evaluate the 8400 GS.
2. Windows could not find the driver for the 8400 GS software automatically, then I found myself from www.nvidia.com.
3. Although games played much more quickly after any where between 5 and 30 minutes of games, the computer goes REALLY slow. Yet once I close the games via the Task Manager, the computer continues to accuse. Icons highlight more slowly, for example. It remains for 5 to 10 minutes before returning to its original state. It could have been a problem plant material so I reinstalled the driver/3 times already.
I have cleaned the registry of the computer, defragmented it and the two drives C and D.
Problem persists.Help, please? Otherwise I'm going to get a new video card that is not too good.
Hi decapen10,
Looks like you're having overheating problems. Everything works fine until the internal temperature reaches a certain point, then the system slows down to protect the processor failure. When you leave the high demands of the games that you play, the card can cool down a bit and things pick back up. Take a look at your map and see if there's a fan built in. If this is not the case, try to join one. If so, try to take the case out of your pc to see what happens. If it works fine, then you must install some additional cooling in your case to dissipate heat coming builing. The other scenario is that you could have a defective 8400 GS. You could try to Exchange if it is still under warranty.

Latest Vista updates have picked up my use of the internet and slowed down my system
Last week, I had several automatic updates. In the meantime, updates have been loading on my computer all landed and froze. After the updates, I'll have a terrible time in AOL. The program has slowed down and often gives me an error message that the system is not responding. I contacted AOL who gave me many suggestions that I follow, but I still have problems (more my overall system is slow now). Says to contact Microsoft. It may be a problem with acceleration. I don't have these problems until the updates installed this week.
Now my system restore no longer works. I can't go back to before the updates. What can I do?
Hi andrewgpig,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft answers Community Forums.
Possible cause would be that updates might conflict with other programs on the computer. Also could have damaged some system files on the computer.
I suggest to try in safe mode and check the performance of the pc first.
To start the computer in safe mode, do in the link below
http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/323ef48f-7b93-4079-a48a-5c58eec904a11033.mspx
If it works fine in safe mode, then find the program that is in conflict. The link below shows you how to do a clean boot
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/331796
If the steps above fail. Try to do a scan sfc
Try to run a SFC scan, to do this, follow these steps:
Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
Type the following command and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command. analysis of all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions
I hope this helps. .
Let us know if this doesn't work or if you need further assistance.
Kind regards

Means that your mouths and radiator has more than dust on them and the fan does not work correctly. You have to disassemble and clean the fan and vents to let him work again properly.

Will be older, slower, diskless / nodes consumption slow down a VSAN system?
Hello
We have a 6 identical VSAN contributing storage of cluster nodes.
We have also two old machines (think generation Proliant G7), which are simply 'broad' and we thought to use these two to host performance reduced, not part of the virtual computer, which we have many offshore.Question: these two boxes older, which are much slower than today's material, will drag down the performance of the entire solution VSAN. 6 nodes, contributors 'feel' the presence of these aging and all devices slow down?
There are best practices do not use a cluster asymmetric but does that refer to contribute nodes only? I understand that the nodes 'consumers only', basically just "sitting there" but when will be the part of the Cluster vSAN, they have a negative impact? If so, why?
The network connections will be 10 gig and identical to the 6 contributing nodes. It's just the performance of the processor that are slower.
We will use the affinity / no affinity rules to keep those "low performance" VM on these older machines.
Kind regards
Steven
Hello, this is my understanding of your configuration. 6 new nodes in a cluster of vSAN contributing storage. 2 old nodes in a cluster of vSAN contribute not storage. I would not expect the old 2 knots to affect performance. Just my opinion, no way for me to provide proof. Thank you, Zach.

After you download the new operating system i.e. sierra, my iMac has slowed down considerably. It takes a lot of time to open applications.
If it's just after the upgrade, it can be busy all indexing. Give him a couple of hours.
If it is still slow execution Etrecheck and post the report here.

Why my iMac 27 "slows down with Sierra?
I'm running an iMac 27 "(fin 2012) with 32 GB of RAM drive and 3 TB of fusion." Before loading to Sierra, Adobe InDesign CS6 launched and ran fast as most of the data have been stored in the partition of the flash player. After the installation of Sierra, I noticed the app stops or slows down when I click on the items in the Panel and I get the spinning wheel. Is it because Sierra sends data to Cloud Drive when I'm online, or is something else operating here? It is most annoying. I'll try to clear the caches etc. but I don't know what is happening.
Photoshop CS6 seems OK.
I always forget to 'CONTROL THE FONTS'. I use FontExplorer Pro to make sure that I only have the necessary fonts to work. I forgot to re - organize my fonts folders for system font numbers are reduced to the minimum and FontExplorer only loads the necessary fonts. I will do this job very long, but I don't know that it will solve one of the main problems. For more information on Mac OS X font management see site and information http://www.jklstudios.com/misc/osxfonts.html of Kurt Lang

IMac slows down with "safari web content (not responding)."
I have an Imac mid-2010 running El Capitan. I constantly get a message on my activity monitor which causes my mac slow down and sometimes crash. When I leave the process on the activity monitor, my computer works better up to five minutes later, when it still happens once I wonder if some may be able to give me advice. I will include a screenshot of what I see on my activity monitor.
Download and run Etrecheck. Copy and paste the results in your response. Flash slows down FF hangs with message "not responding".
Shockwave flash is causing crashes giving the message 'firefox is not responding' and slows down my internet experience. I know it's the add-on flash because when I disable it, firefox works much better. I tried all the suggestions concerning problems of flash on this site and nothing worked. I am running win 7 64 bit (Home premium). In addition, Firefox 36.0.1. All the drivers seem to be aware, but I'll check.
My question is... is it possible to easily disable/enable flash without going into the Add-ons Manager? According to what I'm doing, I'm in crashes and Add-ons for him Manager allow either when I need it or disable it when firefox is slow.
I've gotten to the point where I just open add-on Manager in a tab and the leave it open because I know I'll probably be in there turn flash on or off depending on the way in which its make my machine.
Also, I tried flash running in mode 'request to activate', but you must reload the page so that it can find the add-on.
This problem has been ongoing for a few months now; Performance of Firefox was so much better, but this problem does not appear to be resolved. I love firefox, I really want to go to a different browser.
Thank you
DukePlease ignore the above answer!
One of the reasons frequent slow script errors are the feature of mode of the Flash player plugin. The Protected Mode feature has safety benefits, but there seem to be some compatibility issues on some systems. You can turn it off by creating or modifying a parameter file. The following/post pages which provide different approaches:
- Adobe technical support under the heading of 'Last resort' article: Adobe Forums: how to fix protected Flash Player for Firefox mode?
- Batch file to automate the manual steps: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/982093#answer-518078 (alternative version of file batch of Carm with some modifications by me: https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=f7d304d92388737d & id = F7D304D9238...)
To download the Flash completely (closing and restarting Firefox could help) until it takes effect.
Any improvement?

MacBook Pro slows down to a halt when plugged via magsafe.
Hey guys.
I had this strange problem lately, which started about 2 weeks ago.
My Macbook Pro works perfectly as it is not plugged into the magsafe adapter.
At the time wherever he is plugged in, it slows down to almost a halt with hiccups etc beach ball. From the MBP place goes from 15 to 20 seconds (unplugged) to 3-5 minutes (connected with magsafe)
Now, I thought initially it was a hardware problem, but then I did a complete reformat and reinstall:
I actually did 3 reformats full (the first two I have zero'ed my data) AND reset the SMC and the PRAM twice:
The first reformat and reinstall brought back my MBP of El capitan to Snow Leopard. Meanwhile, first to reformat and reinstall the system, it may have showed signs of it still be afflicted by this slowness and beach ball gasp he showed before the reformat and reinstall. I kept the first reformat and reinstall for maybe 30 minutes in which I decided to reformat and reinstall once again, that I did not like the name of the Home folder.
The second reformat and reinstall, I did notice one problem with the system, in fact it was running flawless both disconnected and connected via magsafe. I pulled up to the PS4 and played a few BF4 while I downloaded and reinstalled all the updates, then I upgraded to El Capitan. After all was said and done, I was reading how you can do a clean install of El Capitan via a USB port. I wanted to try this, so I downloaded a copy of El Capitan to a USB stick with the manufacturer of disc X and a then reformat (no zero out as starting program with El Capitan does not have it), and did a clean install of El Capitan.
I didn't restore from back up or anything, the only thing I did was download all my iCloud data, like photos and songs etc. My system worked perfectly for about a week since the reformatting and reinstalling. He had no problem with the connected system or not.
Now, a week later, the same problem slipped immediately came out of nowhere and the system works like crap when it is plugged. It takes 3-5 minutes to start, instead of 15 to 20 seconds when it is not plugged in. Also keep in mind, this is a new reinstall where I don't have any what garbage on my system. I didn't yet to reinstall all the games on my MBP, or anything like that, and in my opinion, this is one very bare reinstall OS. The total memory used is like 150 concerts against 350 before my first reformat and reinstall.
So, I'm to the point where I'm racking my brain trying to figure out whether it is a hardware problem. Since the system ran a good week without this post question reformat and reinstall, it makes me doubt that it is a hardware problem. But on the flip side, since I did a reformat and reinstall, it can't be a problem of software either, especially since I didn't install anything the night before this problem appeared.
My only hope to address this problem is I hope one of you had the same problem and have a solution. If not, it seems that I might need to get a new MBP this fall, which would be a shame this system ran flawlessly and fluidly before this annoying problem.
Thanks in advance for any input.
Since you mentioned the snow leopard, I understand that the MBP is an older model (2009 or almost?)... What is the status of the battery? https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201585
