I've been reluctant to use these registry cleaners too but had no choice. They well with basic cleaning after uninstall. And some of the best cleansers will warn you if a fix is dangerous or not you can not run it. But what sometimes happens is that vacuuming can cause two problems for everyone that it fixes if you aren't careful.

I don't understand exactly how errors in the two newspapers are related, but my opinion is that, if I can solve my CheckSUR.log errors, CBS.log errors will disappear to, and then I might even be able to install SP1.

Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

For what is interesting, what I ended up doing to solve my problems was to re - install Vista with the 'upgrade' option, so I don't lose any of my files or desktop settings...

After that, I had a few problems with my OS reinstalled with several (80 +) updates, SP1 and SP2 from catching up. But overall these problems were minor compared to it, that I lived just to fix some missing files.

I had some trouble installing the above update (security for 2007 Microsoft Office system update: KB 2289158). When the update fails, the error I get says:

Code 80070641 Windows update encountered an unknown error

When I click on the link below the error that says "get help with this error, a Windows Help and Support window opens with this in the search box:

I did some research and it seems that this error indicates a problem with the installer, but I tried several proposed fixes and none of them work. Defective patches include:

-modification of the parameters of service by Windows install to start automatically and then start it manually, and then try to update

-With the help of the (Administrator) command prompt to manually start windows update, and then try to update

-Use of the (Administrator) command prompt to manually stop the windows update, then try to update

-With the help of the (Administrator) command prompt manually update windows, then rename the files that have been damaged (sorry, I don't know more than what files), and then try to update

-Disable UAC, then try to update

-Use of the Download Center Microsoft to download the specific update and try to install.

What's weird, is that it is the only update with the problem, I can and have installed every update that was shown to me. Recently manually, I started Setup of windows with the command prompt, then run the update. Later, I tried to stop the service and restart, but the service was already stopped. It seems that the installation of windows service is stopped during the update.

I'm running a Windows Vista x 86 machine.

I have a virtual machine running Vista. I need to update with the SP1 and SP2 for Vista and the VS SP1.

I have downloaded and saved the 3, but when I tried to install SP1 for Vista I got an error that says I need to run the Vista system update tool. I downloaded the analysis tool, but when I tried to install it on the virtual machine is a mistake here:

How to fix - error 80073712 - windows component store is corrupt - after correctly installing the system update tool for windows vista.

I get the error code 80073712 - windows component store is damaged - when you try to install windows vista SP1 and also the Cumulative security update to explore 7 (KB978207). Fails every time.

I followed the advice and installed the system update tool for Windows Vista (does this twice), but still cannot download and install updates - get error 80073712.

If the SFC was not able to repair files then the best thing to do is to reinstall Windows. You can try running a disk error check, if it fixes all of the problems, and then rerun the SFC and then install and run the System Update tool. If there is still a problem with the SFC nto be able to complete then you should do a reinstall.

800 b 0100 Windows Update error even after system update readiness tool

The last time I tried to install updates, an update installs with update error 800b0100. I have downloaded and run the system tool in the proposed aid system but I still get the same error. I use 32 bit Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 on a dual-boot Apple iMac. What should I do now?

Turns out that my computer has a virus, of which a part had apparently obtained in the area of the 100 MB of my raid0 array system. When I reloaded the os I've removed then reinstalled the partitions, then reloaded the software and my problem calmed. Thanks for your ideas.

ThinkVanmtage System Update 5 'error in the collection of user information'

I use ThinkVantage System Update 5.06.0027; Windows 7 64-bit, SP 1; Lenovo Thinkpad E540

Whenever I click on 'Get new Updates', after 10% finished I get the message "an error has occurred all." by collecting user information I read many other positions on this subject, and I checked my Mappinginterface.xml file. He already understands the code for Windows 7 SP 1, so I think that changing the code to include my operating system is not the solution.

If anyone has other solutions to this bug, I would be grateful of your.

General idea of what's going on

(1) su needs to collect information system on your machine

(2) the program IA.exe (inventory agent) is given control / launched

(3) via the command TVSU launcher that also interacts with the SUservice.
