    I found that the "selection of export that" both the functions 'copy with formatting' were able to go directly to Excel without using a Word, although it also works. The key in Excel is simply use ctrl + v to paste, do not right click and try to use a special dough or the default value, which went to "keep text only".

    You can use the spread worksheet function to save data in Excel. File extension should be .xls as test.xls

  • Dynamic data of several channels in table, then save in Excel

    Hello

    I am acquiring data from several channels (4-5) and I'd like to collect samples at low rates (10 Hz for 3 minutes max). For various reasons I use Dynamic Data type, although I know that it is not the best way (some say it is a wrong data type ). I also want to save data to a file (the best option would be data excel file).

    If I acquire data 10 times per second, it is quite slow to save in excel (this is the slowest option of all types of data). So I would like to fill a table or matrix of acquired data and then write Excel file (I use scripture to measure file). But I don't know how to do - if I convert DDT in DBL, build an array and connect it to change registry, it works but I lose the information in column names and I'm wasting time. If I connect to build the table a DDT and then shift record another, it returns the table 1 d of DDT. I would like to have 2D DDT, which collects all the information loop.  Is there a suggestion how to solve?

    I'm sure it would be easier solved my problem with the double data type but I also use select signals VI which is the VI I am not able to replace at this time.

    Good day

    Lefebvre

    I don't know if there is a question here, or what.  Doing what you say you want to make, acquire the data of 4-5 channels at low rates (10 Hz for 3 minutes) and save the data in an Excel file (I assume you mean really Excel, i.e. a file with the extension .xls or .xlsx) is really a very easy thing to do in LabVIEW, especially if you are not using :

    • DAQ Assistant
    • Dynamic Data
    • Write to the action file.

    Indeed, you seem to realize this, but I guess you want to 'do the hard', in any case.

    Good luck.

  • Cannot read the timestamp of the file LVM in table or export to Excel

    Good afternoon!

    Im having issues return timestamps from a LVM file and an excel file.

    Ulitmately, I have a series of files LVM with 6 channels of data and timestamps of correspodning.

    When I read the back files in a table, the channel values are analyzed, but the timestamp is no where. The channel data then exported successfully to an excel sheet (less the time stamps).

    How can I extract the timestamps with the channel data and bring them into an excel sheet?

    NOTE: I do not know you can open the file LVM directly in excel, however, information is not "analysable.

    I appreciate the toughts. I have attached my experimental code as well as the data set, I am trying to extract. I have also included a spreadsheet excel destination.

    Hi, ASAT,.

    Is there a reason that you do not simply write it as File.vi to write your signal data in the excel worksheet? It is an easy way to put in your signal data to an excel spreadsheet (see file attachment). You can also view the code in this Express VI to see how this is achieved.

  • Dynamic linking of tables and graphs in excel

    Hello

    We use excel to generate reports of som that got the tables and graphs. This excel file is updated every week.

    My question is:

    -Is it possible dynamic graphs of linking excel in indesign?

    I know its possible with tables / cells, but don't themselves are no more information about this.

    If not, it would be possible will be illustrator?

    If I save the chart in PDF format, it is possible to link to a situation of PDF in indesign, then I can just export a new PDF to Excel every week, crush the old PDF and indesign displays the new content?

    The PDF method you describe above will certainly work, but as with any link, you specify ID to do the update.

  • Remove excel table column

    I have an excel templpate that contains a table that is already formatted with lots of formulas and colroed celss, etc..  According to the request that I run with labview, I produce a result of data that is exported to excel and then I want to resize the excel table to adjust the data.  I want to resize a table with activex controls in labview.  How can I do this?

    ID says:

    Please see attached excel worksheet to see the table I want.  It has a simple table but says I have to do in the comments below...

    You may think it's a table, but in the Excel object model, there is no such thing as a "Table".

    If she is not there, you can't handle it.

  • How to make a table with ActiveX Excel using Excel_RangeSetValue2?

    Hello

    I want to make a table in Excel. For this, I use two functions: Excel_WorksheetGetRange and Excel_RangeSetValue2.

    I write the table on Excel file, but only the first instance of the table is copied.

    Here, a part of my program:

    char * DataToWrite = {"A", "B", "C", "D"}

    cCell Char [10];
    VARIANT vCell, data;

    ExcelObj_Worksheet hWorksheet;

    ExcelObj_Range hRange;

    ...

    CA_VariantSetCString (& vCell, cCell);        cCell = a1: a4
    Excel_WorksheetGetRange (hWorksheet, NULL, vCell, CA_DEFAULT_VAL, & hRange);
    CA_VariantSetCString (& Data, DataToWrite);
    Excel_RangeSetValue2 (hRange, NULL), data;

    Here what I get when I'm compiling on Excel file:

    A

    A

    A

    A

    You must use the other instructions to complete the range of cells:

    strcpy (msg, "A1: a4");
    CA_VariantSetCString (& MyVariant, msg);
    Excel_WorksheetRange (ExcelWorksheetHandle, NULL, MyVariant, CA_DEFAULT_VAL, & ExcelRangeHandle);
    Excel_RangeActivate (ExcelRangeHandle, NULL, NULL);

    Create a SafeArray of data table
    CA_VariantSet2DArray (& MyVariant, CAVT_CSTRING, lines, 1 table);
    Transfer data to Excel range
    Excel_SetProperty (ExcelRangeHandle, NULL, Excel_RangeValue2, CAVT_VARIANT, MyVariant);

    ClearObjHandle (ExcelRangeHandle);

  • Having trouble getting an Excel file table

    This will probably be a very stupid question, but I could hurt trying to get a table 2D from an Excel file? The file contains two columns of data that I want as a 2D array (or two tables 1 d) and after having tried a number of things I don't get anything up on top of my chart. The attached VI is a work in progress and has been hashed together some other work (it will be used to control scanning mirrors).

    Thanks in advance,

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

    I found an article in the Knowledge Base that relates to your specific problem. I linked it below.

    Reading Microsof Excel in LabVIEW digital data

    After you follow the steps in the KB, I changed the file to a text (.txt) file and was then able to read the data successfully and it draw on the XY graph using a modified version of your code that contains only the item file IO. If you make changes to your data file and then reference in the amended VI that I have attached, this will help to illustrate how you can view your data in LV

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards

  • Problems of decimal Point with easy Excel Table VI and Excel 2007

    Hello

    We used the Excel simple table VI transfer to Excel 2002 LabView measurement data. Now, we have updated our Excel for Excel 2007. After that, there is something wrong at the time of the transfer of LabView to Excel. It seems that excel now ignore the decimal Point.

    Hi Martin,

    It is a known issue with LV, excel and the European regional settings.

    To work around the problem, do the following:

    To transfer the correct data to Excel, disconnected "use localized comma" in tools-> Frontpanel.

    You can use the "." instead of ',' when you enter numbers, for example "0.99" instead of "0.99".

  • Speeding Up load table of Excel Subvi

    Hello

    I have a Subvi, which charge a double table 2D from an Excel file. Currently, it takes about 500 ms between executions do not cause an error of type variant, something to do with everything opened and closed. I was wondering if someone could see something obvious is it slows down. If you could help me optimize it a little it would be great. Even if I could shave up to 200ms.

    Here is a small example of what I'm talking about.  Placing the reference App open/close outside the loop gets you down to about 300 ms.

  • Several tables to excel file

    Hello

    I get this error when writing two different tables for the same excel file. I think the problem is that the excel file must be closed to be written the new. But I am unable to use the narrow leader because he is not a refnum. Should I use the notifier? If Yes please tell me how to thank you.

    In your VI, you have two instances of "Easy Excel Table.vi" that will run in parallel. This is likely to cause a conflict, because as we open and written on the worksheet, the second will also try to open the same spreadsheet and write at the same time. You must apply a sequential operation in order to ensure that the second simple Excel table can operate only when the first has been completed. The easiest way to do this in your VI is over the error of the first VI on the second VI error, so the second can run only after the first ended.

    Secondly, the second VI also has a function of "New Report.vi", pointing to the same file, so there is a good possibility that this will overwrite your changes. You say there is no reference to the excel file, but in fact there. The right upper bound of the first easy table Excel vi is the report's reference. The wire that directly in the Terminal to the second function Excel easy table report and get rid of the new Report.vi.
