  I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A200 and I tried to install Photoshop CS4 Extended yesterday.

  I've updated the ATI driver, uninstalled and reinstalled CS4 and its still does not. I also have Photoshop Elements 6, which opens the same images perfectly so it mus be a CS4 and A200 compatibility problem - does anyone know how to solve this problem, or what could be the problem?

  Maybe you need to update your software Photoshop CS4 Extended.
  In my opinion, this could solve this problem because, as you said the picture can be changed correctly using the Photoshop Elements 6.

  I think that it s ONLY a problem of software Photoshop CS4 Extended.

  CS4 installed on the new MacBook. Shortly after, had problem with Acrobat. Then uninstalled Acrobat 9 Pro to tried to reinstall from the CS4 downloaded installation disc. I select only Acrobat 9 Pro for installation. The implementation of program remains stuck in the phase "preparing to install...". ».  The installation package works perfectly installation of CS4. Why is now stuck in "Preparing installation...." »

I am aware that if you exceed your constraints, that the site won't work properly, but Ive spend days and week capacity a site only so he could "go its own way" and just make a mixture between the office and the phone. Everything is within the limits, if anyone can help with why my layout of the phone is massively messed up?

• CS4 reload problem serial number... duh

  I recently had to reload the Standard Suite CS4 download online. All programs have been launched with activation code, except Acrobat 9 Pro, which would not be loaded correctly. After several attempts to solve the problem, I decided to clean the CS4 (App Cleaner) and start over. Once I had reinstalled CS4, it asked me to enter the serial number that I did. Installation program tells me now that I have an incorrect serial number. I guess that there is a file somewhere on the hard drive, or a server file, which tells the charger that I try to install on another computer, when I'm alone liscenced for single use? Any help would be appreciated. Also, I never solved Pro9 Acrobat question. I am running Yosemite 10.10.5 on an iMac mid 2011.

  Follow the instructions at the bottom of the document and check if that helps.

• Tutorial problems on a virtual machine

  I try GF by following the documentation [1] and I found some problem when running the tutorial in vFabric_GemFire_701_b40235/SampleCode/tutorial:

  The tutorial on src/com/gemstone/gemfire/tutorial/storage/GemfireDAO.java defines the "localhost [port]". I changed it to 'ip [port]' (both for customers and peers) and recompiled. The tutorial still works well, but as soon as I try to start a client in another node (virtual machine) it stops working:

  1. When I run the peer that I can see it connect to the location (with netstat on the first host), but it takes a long time to connect (more than 10 seconds) and the data is not shared between peers (should it be shared on this case?).
  2. When I run the client it does not start, it throws a NoSubscriptionServersAvailableException after printing "could not initialize a main queue at startup. No server queue available". I've not found much info on this exception, does that mean?

  This tutorial should work on a different node for both configurations (client and peer)? I'm not sure of installing peer, but I understand that this should work for the customer.

  PS: There is no firewall or anything else limiting the connection between the virtual machines.

  2. Launch gfsh on $host2
  3. Run "connect - locator = host1$ [$port]". " Gfsh appear something like this:

  This exception relates to the connection manager? If so, why the host2 would try to connect to localhost? (Of course $host1! = 127.0.1.1)

  OK, after chasing my tail for a little, I think I see the problem.

  I guess you follow the tutorial here: running the tutorial

  At the point where the tutorial asks you to run the client (part 5: Set Up cache server), you must configure a pair of cache servers using the command gfsh and not by the Peer class running. The initPeer method is not enough for everything to work. Specifically, you will need to have in place a CacheServer (sorry - I know that the term "Server" is overloaded way here). Anyway, the CacheServer is what it takes to run and that the client connects to. If you start a server with gfsh, a CacheServer is started automatically.

  If you want to increase the initPeer method, to start a CacheServer, you can add the following bit of code right after that the Cache is created:

  cs.setPort(0);
  cs.start();
  

  Here a CacheServer is started and will listen on a random port. You could define a port, but need not if your customer uses a locator of discovery.

  Make sure it is added within the menu option.

• Search GREP [CS4/JS] problems

  I have two problems with grep research using a script written in Javascript for InDesign CS4.  The first is more serious.

  Problem #1:

  I use the following search pattern, to find e-mail addresses:

  [[: word:] \-\.] + @([[:Word:]\-]+\.) + [[: word:]-------] {2,4}

  This model works perfectly for all e-mail addresses when I use the grep of the dialog box find/replace function in the user interface, but fails when I use it as an argument to the functions findGrep() or changeGrep() in a script.  Interestingly, the problem is the part before the '@' symbol.  If I replace the part with the literal text, as follows:

  Richard @([[:Word:]\-]+\.) + [[: word:]-------] {2,4}

  the script correctly match any email address where the part before the '@' symbol is the word "richard".

  Anyone can shed some light on this problem?

  Problem #2:

  It is more general and less severe, but it is related to the #1 problem, because it's things that work in the interface user, but not in a script.

  Curiously, many of the standard regular expression stenografie wildcards for the character classes (like \w, \d, etc.) do not work when I use it in scripts, but their POSIX equivalents ([: word:], [: digit:], etc.) work fine.   Or the other terminology - \w or [: word:]-works fine in the find/replace UI dialog box.

  If this isn't a serious problem, but I much prefer the shorter terminology.  I find it easier to read and write.

• Custom workspace layout: CS4 - CS5 Import export

  Installation of CS5; looking for import and export of my layout of the very personalized workspace of CS4.  I saw a previous thread on locations of files, but can't find the ID CS4 layout files to this place.  Anyone knows where and how to copy this vast (multiple monitors, etc.) custom page layout?  OS = Windows 7 Pro x 64.

  Should be a subfolder of workspaces in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\------------.

  They may or may not copy well.

  Hi all.

  I hope I can get help here because I'm increasingly frustrated. I use Ver 1.5 body w / Matrox hardware since 2004 and was well. I just upgraded to CS4 that I need to edit AVCHD, HDV widescreen and mix in with high-end DV video. Summer at this for almost 2 months, but the decline in self-confidence.

  I built my own computer editing, hoping that all the pain of waiting for the render would be greatly reduced. Not true, or I'm doing something wrong.

  My specs are:

  System: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. on a drive of 80 GB system with Program files;

  Mobo: Asus P5B-E with the Intel Quad Core 9650 3 GHz processor,

  "4-band matched 2 Gig DDR2-800 memory,

  Hard drives: 2 x 640 GB eSATA Raid 1 is used for all files publishing;

  2 x hotswap removable 250G SATA for the video work captured files;

  2 x fixed 160G IDE on a PCI card to contain the export files.

  The DVD writer is an ASUS DRW - 2024 Lightscribe SATA

  Graphics card: Asus EAH3450 PCIe with 2 Sony displays connected via a cable 15 pin RGB.

  Edge HD sound turn off to a digital JVC Media coaxial 5.1 amplifier.

  My PROBLEM IS NOT NOT EDITING, BUT AFTER.

  1. I can't exit product again through the Adobe Dynamic Link. No reaction at all!

  I get error messages saying that there is a compatibility issue, but no other explanation. So I hope I can try another way, which should prove to be an AVI file, for each job and burn it to DVD with Nero 9. Is not the case.

  2. a simple 19 minutes after rendering sequence will go via Media Encoder but believed initially more than six hours to convert AVI Windows, but the time goes slowly never increase and then freeze the mouse an hour!

  I have three orders waiting to be burned to DVD from a combination of 3 AVCHD 1 and 2 DVCAM video tracks and titles, but can't get any further, mainly because of this problem I mentioned. Two of the jobs that I have edited are productions of music about 2 hours. Can you imagine that the first time I tried to put it through the Media Encoder, I got an estimate of 79 hours to complete? I can't believe it is the fault of CS4 and I am all of these ideas, after trying different combinations in Media Encoder.

  I want to just burn a DVD Double face, preferably with 5.1 encoding, for each job, does not...

  I never had this problem with Agency V.1.5 and then... I had a simple single core Pentium 4 3.2 Gig on an ASUS P5GDC-V!

  Can you suggest me a better workflow more suited to CS4? I'm also less good resolution as the quality of shoot. 16:9 comes out too skinny! I guess I'm doing everything wrong... What I did different from the worm PPRo would 1.5 I?

  It can be many things causing this. I suggest you only start with two things:

  1 run the http://ppbm4.com test and submit the results for Bill (and possibly the output.txt file send me a private mail or report here)

  2. follow this link: suggestions and proceed to the second included link and provide the requested information, etc. DXDIAG.txt.

  I am following the tutorial for CS4 and when I get to the end of the section "add the div tag and the text" my design and Live View very similar to the tutorial. When I saw in the browser, the main text area has disappeared and the text is displayed on the image in the same way, as it does after step 15. I checked my code against the tutorial and I am at a loss. I use a Mac and Safari.

• Wacom Intuos4 + PS CS4 pressure problem

  Hey.

  So, I recently bought a large wacom intuos4 tablet. When I use the pressure sensitivity in photoshop cs4 will not trigger when I draw. However, it triggers when I double click and then shooting. It seems odd. How it works, but you can imagine that it is impossible to make the lines of continuous light and should double click before each time I do it. This is just photoshop, other programs like corel painter and twisted brush work very well.

  I have all the drivers updated, I should probably start with the standard problems * pressure works does not in general *. However, I thought that I should post my problem * individual as is * someone with the same issue could share an idea, if it isn't my own personal problem.

  I run windows 7 32 bit 3.4 ghz P4, 2 GB ram, ATi x 1950 PRO.

  I have your answer!

  Search for 'Feather' in your little Gizmo on the windows task bar. This will take you to the pen & press options.

  Go to the shortcut tab and uncheck the "use shortcuts to perform common actions quickly and easily.

  That will fix it! Worked for me. Running Windows 7 64 bit and an Intuos 3.

  As mentioned earlier, it's a good idea to turn off the press and in the right-click as bothers you in Photoshop.

  Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me. I want to install Design premium CS4 on 32-bit Windows Vista. The installation goes by apparently fine, but then when I try to open Dreamweaver, Flash or Fireworks it evokes error message saying

  All other programs work fine, it's just who does not even open. I tried to reinstall in all different directions that I can think of, without AV, MS SQL and IIS cut, office with selective startup, you name it and it still has the same problem.

  Can anyone help me with what could be the cause of the problem? don't know if its a problem installation or a problem of windows (a setting or something) but I would really like to have ideas anyone might have.

  which I think refers to the installer of freezing when you check the profile of the system during installation, but it seems to go through install well. It also has the following errors.

  Had the same error, try to run Dreamweaver CS4 on my Dell Studio XPS laptop:

  This sorting me and works fine now:

  2. use the registry (Regedit) editor to locate and expand the following registry key:

  'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\DerivedData\Components\ '.

  4. from the long list on the left, remove the following key:

  'x86_microsoft.vc80.mfc_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.762_none_0c178a139ee2a7ed '.

  Then uninstall, reboot, and install
