Tables in Visual Studio Web plugin

Environment: 32-bit Windows 7, latest development environment Sun's Java, Visual Studio 8 most recent plugin beta BlackBerry 9700 Simulator works very well in the white list remote .NET/ASP/SQL Server 2008 to use as remote as possibly .asp page direct service calls, XMLHTTP and server applications.

I was looking for a way to make simple line and area charts in the environment of plug-in.  I tested 3 toolkits of "JavaScript".  They are working on a web ASP against a desktop browser site.  Most impressive was amCharts... Alas it uses flash.  The other two are: EJSChart which seems to be entirely JavaScript and finally the flow which is open source MIT JavaScript tool.

I tested this by integrating the example the simplest in my ASP site and first of all by navigating from the BB browser, then calling the page with an XMLHttpRequest.  I checked that the charts of the rendering on a desktop IE8 browser.  All three made on the BB browser.  I was not even go a little further with amCharts product since it relies so heavily on flash.  The other two I have incorporated their JavaScript libraries in my widget library and tried to start the simple graph using the same HTML code in a local HTML page that worked on the desktop browser and neither will make.  I can ' even start debugging to see where it is falling apart since I can't debug in the plug-in except with the commands of the alerts.

Does anyone have experience with or could they recommend a tool for rendering graphics?  Is there a compatible AJAX control that I have not discovered?  I would like to do something like the Bloomberg BB application.  They have a nice area chart and it's interactive.  I should consider just rendered server-side to a file image and everything that carries the image through?

Thank you

Scott

Have you tried the static google API maps?

    Hello

The tutorial that you downloaded is for the 1.0 version of the Visual Studio environment to generate MDS Runtime applications. The TERM MDS technology and its tools is now out of use.

Version 2.0 of Visual Studio plugin is for the construction of the BlackBerry Widgets which is the technology used to starting by BlackBerry 5.0 operating system.

The feature to add a Web reference is not yet a part of the BlackBerry Widget tools.

Seems that I found this one. Only if the other devs encounter the same problem, it seems that Native of BlackBerry Plugin for Visual Studio 2010 is not compatible with the German Visual Studio versions.

After passing the English Visual Studio, the plugin can be loaded and worked.

  • Create the web icon using BlackBerry plugin for Microsoft Visual Studio

    Hi all...

I am very new to the blackberry application development...

I want to create web icon on blackberry. I use BlackBerry plugin for Microsoft Visual Studio

Please give any link sample code or reference on how to create a web icon using BlackBerry plugin for Microsoft Visual Studio.

    Please its urgent.

    Thanks in advance.

There are two ways that you can do with a BlackBerry.

    (1) you can push an icon on the desktop of users using push of BES or the new WebSignals.  This method requires no code peripheral side, but it requires the code side Server integrated with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) or our WebSignals public service

    (2) you can create a small Java application that is installed on the device that launches the browser to a specific URL.  You will need to Java plug-in for Eclipse to get there.

  • WebWorks development through the deployment of visual studio plugin problem

I developed an application WebWorks using the Visual Studio plugin, now after compiling the application, I have a series of .cod files, not. bar.  Documentation indicates that the blackberry - deploy command wants a .bar file to deploy the application on the Simulator.  I tried to just take all my program assets (images, js, css, htm files, etc.), the zip and compile them using the command line tool (bbwp), but I get a series of errors of syntax and then a final error (an exception through the JRE) indicating that it could not find the file necessary to complete the compilation bar.  Maybe I forgot something?  Any help would be greatly appreciated since I can't test this application, unless I can actually deploy in the Simulator.   The .cod file deploy the application I get an error indicating that there is no such thing as a specific file in archive (although I've specified a .cod file).  For some reason any I can't get this thing to deploy on the current device.  PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! This part of the project is so frustrating at the moment, been working on the deployment of the hours now.

I think it's because the config.xml file that was generated by visual studio for BB device and not the playbook.  You will need to create a file config.xml for the app playbook.  The simplest way is to each one of the webworks tutorials copy or there is an example in the 'Blackberry Webworks SDK - Table OS Development Guide'.  Here is the link http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/24043/BlackBerry_WebWorks_SDK-Development_Guid...

  • Visual Studio Plugin 1.2 RTM with emulator no 9000?

The Visual Studio Plugin 1.2 RTM is supposed to work with any other right of emulators?

    Y at - there a step I'm missing?

The minimum versions of the BONES of the Simulator for the plug-ins web are v4.6.0.212, v4.6.1.132 and v4.7.0.80.

So if you have older simulators, please make sure you head to the Simulator download page and pick it up later. https://www.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=060AD92489947D410D897474079C1477

    Any ideas?

I have only 1 network card.

I tried with my firewall and turn off.

I got further away now though.

I realized that if I hit F5 and then launch and I click 'Cancel' and then go to Task Manager and instead of killing the user interface process that loads the emulator instead of this I close the RIM.NET.XXX or whatever the process.

Then wait for the emulator to access the main screen then press on F5 again to join occurs but the emulator can't hit google or my local host.

A companion of mine office has been able to operate its box with the same approach "kill process".

It is running Win XP with Visual Studio 2 k 8 (without service pack 1 even if the requirements say it needs service pack 1)...

Do you think its because my OS is Win 2 k 3?

And why did kill Rim.Net process also?

  • BlackBerry Plugin for Visual Studio V2.0

Hi all, I installed Blackberry Plugin for Visual Studio version 2.0. I know that it installed properly because I see the configuration options in Tools--> Options--> Blacberry. Where I can see 9500 v5.0.0.307 Simulator. But when I run a web application and go to "browse with" there is no Blackberry option. There is no Blackberry Simulator also in tools--> the Device Emulator Manager. What might have gone wrong? Is it possible to manually activate the option "browse with" and the emulator itself? My setup is Windows XP Professional SP3 Visual Studio 2008 Team System SP1

Any help will be much appreciated

    Hello

The BlackBerry Simulator does not appear in tools--> the Device Emulator Manager.  This section is reserved for Windows Mobile devices.

All simulators for the development of BlackBerry are in tools of--> Options--> section of BlackBerry.

You try to create a BlackBerry widget, or debug an ASP.NET Web site?

Later, I created and Azure VM and try to deploy the application on the virtual computer. But I could not. But failed to deploy via VSO.

I use Build definitions. Please help me configure the deployment in Azure VM using VSO.

  • Visual Studio 2013 RC2 - BlackBerry Native plugin

Plugin Native of BlackBerry for Visual Studio 2013 v2.0 does not appear to function, at least not as it is indicated in the help, on my development computer documentation.

I was wondering if anyone else has problems with this. I had tried for a week to run a month or two before, but nothing helped. I found this article http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Native-Development/Visual-Studio-Plugin-2-0-does-not-show-up-...

Not quite sure how I could have missed the first time.

If anyone can make me market I would really appreciate it. The plugin installs perfectly though I can tell. I moved this discussion directories above in the actual installation. As it was before the add-in Manager shows that the plugin is available. I should probably do a search for add-in visual studio of 2013 Manager see if there is anything beyond the simple window it shows. It only indicates if it is installed and if the startup is checked.

I could use some suggestions, to help me on the right train of thought.

Creates a junction in program (x 86) and it had a link to the installation directory. Reinstalled and it worked. Much easier to fix once you learn that it does not install the installation directory, but rather the default installation directory.

  • Visual Studio Plugin 2.0 does not appear in VS

    Hello all together.

Since I'm used to software development in Visual Studio, I wanted to see how it works for the development BB10.

However, after the installation of the plugin I see absolutely nothing within VS that would make me to create anything associated with BB. I already checked and the plugin is activated and successfully loaded.

I understand that it sounds like a stupid question, but where the hell those things should be?

    Thanks for any help :-)

In addition, Iam using Win7 x 64 with VS 2010 Ultimate

I found the solution for me!

Visual Studio on my computer was not installed to the default location:

    "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0.

The Blackberry Visual Studio plugin installs its data only here because there is no way to tell a different location to the installer. This leads to the situation, that the plugin itself is saved correctly in Visual Studio and also appears in the add-in Manager, but the corresponding data so that it is not found.

Therefore, the solution is to copy the data installed by Setup of Blackberry from the default location in your real directory where Visual Studio is located.

The following directories and their content must be copied into the subdirectory of your installation of VS:

    %DefaultLocation%\Common7\IDE\Extensions\NDK Plugin

    %DefaultLocation%\VC\VCWizards\CodeWiz

Hope it helps someone else to understand the problem faster :-)

BLACKBERRY: Please correct that in your Installer.

    See you soon

  • Visual Studio Plugin

Do you have any success with the new Visual Studio plugin?

    Hi Nicole...

It seems that you have not reported the required additional groping for the project to link correctly.   If you right click on your project, and then select the menu item properties... it will bring up the Property Pages for your project window.   If you expand the Configuration properties in the left tree... you will see a section for the linker-> entry and a property called error additional.  Here, you need to specify different libraries that your project you will need to compile successfully.  For example in your announcement statest that your have a reference set to 'screen_events_get_event' for this, you must reference the library 'screen.

This is done in any listing libraries with a string of a semicolon. IE (bits/s, screen, freetype) or usuing the editor that will allow you to enter these one per line.

Please see the following pages for any reference to other shared libraries...

  • Cannot save BlackBery Widget in Visual Studio Plugin 2.0

    Hi all

I have just installed the Visual Studio Plug in 2.0 and have created a new project:

    New project => Blackberry-online BlackBeryWidget

First of all - the documentation on how to debug etc from the widget home page shows that you create a new Web site.  I'm doing the right thing here?

When I try to save I get an error: unable to complete the operation.  Without this interface taken in charge.

    I'm doing something wrong?

    Thank you

    Hello

Documentation on the start page for debugging is to debug a Web site.  Beta 1 does not yet support the debugging of JavaScript for Widgets.  So if you have an ASP.NET project you want to debug, these instructions will show you how to debug using the BlackBerry browser in the Simulator.

Can you list the following information so that we may be able to reproduce your problem:

-Version of Windows (Vista, XP, 7, 32-bit or 64-bit)

    -Version of Visual Studio 2008

-When you installed visual studio, you said that you were a developer c#, VB developer or Web Developer

-In your settings "Options-> projects and Solutions" you "Always" display the Solution and/or "Save new projects when created" checked or unchecked

    Thank you
