  • the keyboard space bar is released during the cleaning process

I spilled coffee on the keyboard, all trying to clean the space bar is out, finger-reading-pad works along with the rest of the alphabet. How can I replace the keyboard and where you can get? I need help as soon as POSSIBLE as am studying online.

    Thank you

If it is a laptop, you must contact the manufacturer for a replacement.  If it's a desktop, purchase just a new USB or other keyboard at any retail store and install it in place of the old.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

BTW, the same goes to my laptop with another key and I have somehow been able to press it in place - you could try that before you send it in the machine for a new keyboard.

  • My Favorites on the wireless comfort 4000 keyboard are no longer works

Original title: Wireless comfort 4000 keyboard

I use windows 7 and a wireless comfort 4000 keyboard. My favorites have stop working and the new drivers do not support the 4000. Why does not support Microsoft their own produce? It's not fair! At least get to a workaround.

    Hi Keith,

We have drivers available for Windows 7 for the keyboard. I suggest you to download and install the drivers for Windows 7 and then check.

  • space bar works well even when I plug microsoft 4000 keyboard it's a hardware or software error?

When the space bar is used for spacing, it works. But it is more raised guns when you play. I removed and cleaned the SPACEBAR with no result. Please inform, I'm not computer literate and I have no idea. Sincerely, Allan Chase

    Hello

-What is the name of the game you play? Is this game online, or is it installed on the computer?
-Is it a cable or a wireless keyboard?
-Are all the other keys of the keyboard works correctly when this game?
-Was the same control well before work? If Yes, did you change the game settings?

Allan, when the space bar works correctly when you try to give spaces when entering; This means that it works very well.

Might be the reason why it does not work when you are firing cannons in playing games, the game keyboard control settings have been changed by you or other default keys to fire.

So, I suggest you to check the game support for better assistance Web site.

  • Am I able to configure a wireless iMac keyboard to emulate the way a Windows keyboard responds to a depression of the DELETE keys and BACKSPACE?

Am I able to configure a wireless iMac keyboard to emulate the way a Windows keyboard responds to a depression of the DELETE keys and BACKSPACE? I want to delete either to the left right GOLD of the cursor. By pressing the DELETE key on Mac does remove one way, but I want the ability to delete in both directions. The Windows keyboard provides a delete key to remove to the right and a key to return back to remove to the left. So I can configure an iMac for this keyboard? My thought is to keep the delete key as it is and ADD a new function to one of the function keys to delete characters to the left. Thanks for your time and your help.

Mac can go both ways, in case this is useful.  You can use fn more delete to delete to the right.  Also control more.

  • Space bar, change the keyboard

Is it possible to change the space bar to another key?  My broken bar... I have tried several places to replace the key.  Now its worn to a node and I worry he will die anyday.  I could use the accessible keyboard with the mouse, but it's a chore.  Say anyway to change [space key?

    Hi VilleJeff,

There is no way to change the functions of the keyboard keys.

If you use a laptop as the space bar is not working properly, you can connect an external keyboard and use the space bar button.

You can also contact the manufacturer of the laptop to check if they can provide a replacement of the keyboard for laptop.

    I hope this helps!

  • New install and uninstall the old combo wireless keyboard & mouse

I bought MS Wireless Desktop 3000, but I do not know if it must be installed before or after that I uninstalled my current combo keyboard & mouse HP wireless.  Should I go through the process of uninstalling first, with my current combo and then install the new combo of MS, or do I have to install the new combo of MS first, then run the procedure to uninstall for my HP no more required combo?

    Hello

It really doesn't matter a lot in fact. The software runs only when it detects compatible hardware is connected.

    But here's what I'd do.

Download and install the latest version of the software Microsoft Mouse and keyboard
Link to the latest drivers: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK
Unplug your mouse and your keyboard and plug the keyboard and Microsoft mouse.
Uninstall the software keyboard and mouse HP

  • Microsoft will solve the problem of 'Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000'?

Because the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 scroll wheel is more fluid than the other mice, and is not "on the points of many applications (including Picture Viewer from Microsoft in Windows 7)" are not recording movement in the scroll wheel :(

These applications will record the movement when you flick madly (exaggerate your move), but on the tread of the wheel normal, nothing happens.

After research, I understand that this is because many applications read the signal coming to the "click" or "bump" a wheel of traditional scrolling to 120 units of movement.

It seems that the fluid motion in the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 sends in increments of 30 or 40 units and these programs don't scroll unless they get a signal of 120 (that's why you have to flip through wildly).

It's sad because it means that I don't like the mouse and I won't buy Microsoft again unless they fix it!

I recently bought Microsoft Wireless 4000 Mouse for my laptop DELL Latitude E6410. The laptop came with the default value to the pointing device setup application. I don't have Microsoft Intellipoint software. I have Win7 64 bit.

Here are the problems with the scroll wheel I noticed when I bought a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 4000

    (o) the scroll wheel does not scroll through the items of the combobox when the combo did NOT fall down, but has the input focus.

for example, control panel-> mouse-> pointers-> 'Plans' combobox.

    (o) the scroll wheel does not scroll the MS Office 2007 Ribbon.

    (o) in Word 2007, the Ctrl + wheel does not zoom out

    (o) the scroll wheel does not scroll the XML Notepad 2007

    Solution:

This solution is not mine - it was on the internet already.

    It worked for me.

I write this with additional measures for "how to get there."

Go to the properties of the mouse-> Hardware tab

Select the problematic mouse in the list "mouse HID-compliant".

    Click 'properties '.

    Go to the Details tab

Select the "Device Instance path" in the combobox control.

    A value is displayed, for example: HID\VID_045E & PID_0745 & MI_01 & COL01\8 & 5538EC & 0 & 0000

    Note This value.

Open the registry editor and navigate to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HID\VID_045E & PID_0745 & MI_01 & Col01\8 & 5538ec & 0 & 0000\Device Parameters

The "Device Instance path" is the path of the "reg" key that corresponds to this instance of the mouse.

In the device settings, add the following keys of reg DWORD (32 bit)

    HScrollHighResolutionDisable = 1

    VScrollHighResolutionDisable = 1

    Delta = 120 (decimal)

Remove the radio and put it back (this type of re - initializes the driver). You can choose to restart the PC, too - no matter.

    It should work.

Initially, I didn't put the key "Delta". But because of this, it was scrolling as if I pressed the keys 'Home' and 'End' - that is, all the way to the bottom or the top. After the 'Delta' key, it worked.

What is the difference between the 2000AES of Microsoft, and most expensive, 2000 Microsoft Wireless Desktop keyboard and mouse?

Made me. Comparing the two references, it seems that they are both the same, except that one is titled 'for business' and the other is not. The cheapest is "for companies' then perhaps originally they were to be sold in lots of dealers XX amount. If you plan to do one, get the cheaper. like you, I see no difference:

  • Sound-absorbing SPACEBAR natural 4000 keyboard

Y at - it an easy solution for the pavers noise created with the space bar is pressed completely which will not void the warranty?  I was hoping that authorized repair center had an authorized Microsoft fix, as a piece of tape or thin foam rubber with adhesive that can be inserted on the area of the key tube on.  A solution like this would make this absolutely exceptional keyboard for me and those around me who didn't hear this noise all day.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to help me with that.

I don't think it's defective, I have a brand new and other people on amazon complained.  The space on the 7000 bar do not do, but the wireless is a failure.

  • Mouse behaves badly after the update MS Mouse and keyboard Center

I use a model wireless MS Mouse 4000 and MS Mouse and keyboard Center 2.1.177.0 worm installed.  Since this update the scrolling behavior does not work correctly.  In a particular program (a simulation game), scrolling works much too fast.  If I go into the centre of keyboard and mouse and adjust the scrolling speed, it works well.  But when I restart the previous settings seem to be lost, so I have to put once again.  I use Win 7-64 bit.  The mouse worked fine before the 2.1.177.0 version.  Any suggestions?  TIA

PS I vaguely recall a default update but can find no trace of that.  Running MS Mouse and keyboard Center seems normal.  There is no obvious command 'save settings', so I guess it does it automatically.
