  When you open the desktop CC application, older versions are not visible at first. You need to change some settings:

  1 scroll for "latest version" and former 'previous Versions', until you come to "Find other applications."

  2 FW is still not visible. Go to the drop-down list of "All Apps".

  3. change the setting for "See the previous Versions."

  

  Now, when you scroll down, you'll find Fireworks listed. Download and enjoy.

  Have you checked to see if your PDF is updated? You should take a look at the Base files display PDF in Firefox article. There are lots of good information in there. You should try both of the suggested PDF Add-ons to see if this solves the problem.

  Miriam, thank you, but the problem persists when you lower the resolution.

  The setting of maximum recommended resolution on this laptop is 1280 x 720, and a message/alert appears in the dialog box of resolution screen that 'your resolution is less than 1024 x 720' Some elements could not fit and apps could not open. "So, I wonder if this is the cause of the problem.

  I check into getting a 2nd monitor connected to see if that will help solve the problem.

It appeared at the bottom of the window menu in my previous version of Photoshop; now, it's just a blank space (see image screenshot). Is this a bug in the new version? I just checked the update and it's showing that I have no updates pending.

  

  Under Preferences > file management > recent file list contains: what is the number?

  Also try in your list of recent files, clear the recent files list.

  If this doesn't fix it, we will remove the file from Photoshop settings:

  Press Cmd-Opt-shift launch Photoshop and answer Yes to delete the settings file.

  See if that fixes it.
