take ownership context menu

Ownership/permissions is a big pain for me in Win 7. I downloaded a registry hack that is supposed to add 'ownership' in the context menu, so that a simple right-click can solve the problem. I downloaded the file .reg from several sources, but it will not import into the registry.

Is there a way I can do it manually? I'm comfortable editing the registry. I have not found all links with the statement on the keys to add, etc., to achieve this.

Thank you very much.

  • The context menu 'this framework' is missing

    There are two users in question, the two Firefox running on Windows 7 36.0.1. When right clicking on a frame in a Web site, they have a context menu option 'the framework', echoes cascading on to provide various actions you can take (this frame printed, etc.). The other user doesn't have this option. To the best of my knowledge, the two users are running installs similar: the default collection of plug-ins that are enabled in our enterprise environment, they do not have twisted all topic parameters: config, etc. Why 'This framework' context menu would only not available for one of them? Is there a way to force be activated?

    I found it...

    I re-read your posts tonight and spent some time tinkering with Firefox on my machine at home (36.0.3 on Win8.1). I was watching my mailbox in OWA, which has a shared mailbox added as well. I discovered that the messages in the shared mailbox Inbox had the option of this framework in the context menu, while the Inbox has no messages in my personal mailbox.

    A little back of comparison and I finally noticed: display the list of my Inbox is configured to display Conversations by Date (see screenshot). However, the shared mailbox Inbox had the Conversations view option deselected.

    When the Conversations view option is disabled, OWA displayed each message in the reading pane in a frame. In Conversations mode, it seems to use CSS for the reading instead of this pane.

    Hello

    Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

    You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    1. Open the Firefox Options (Preferences on Mac or Linux) as follows:

      • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

        then select Options Preferences on Mac or Linux, or Windows.

      • In 28.0 Firefox and earlier versions, click on the Firefox orange upper-left button, then select the 'Options' button or, if there is no button up Firefox, go to tools > Options.
    2. In the window of Firefox Options (or preferences), click on the Advanced tab, and then select general.
    3. You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    4. Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

  • The Win Explorer crashes/Context Menu Popups

    About 4-5 weeks, I started to have Windows Explorer freezes once or twice a day, especially when I start programs from the Start Menu. (I also use RocketDock and explore window will never block when programs start with her). I get a dialog box indicating that I have Windows restart Windows Explorer and the problem goes away. I've been tolerating this inconvenience.

    About 2 weeks, popups started appearing randomly in any program was in the active window (for example, Firefox, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) without me touching my mouse. I tried to solve this problem, because it steals the focus while I type and is the most troublesome of the two. To this day, I tried withoutsuccess the following:

    -changed my mouse
    -used the system restore as soon as he'd go (about 15 days)
    - virus scan with SpyBot, Adaware, Malwarebytes (all clean, with the exception of a few cookies part 3)
    -Chkdsk scan
    -Disabled all non-Microsoft context menu using NirSoft ShellExView shell extensions
    -One at a time, disabled Microsoft context menu shell individual extensions with ShellExView

    The problem of popup context menu persisted all troubleshooting.

    Apart from these two issues, which may or may not be related, my computer (a HP Pavillion) short great. All additional troubleshooting suggestions?

    Thank you very much for your time and sharing your expertise.

    If you want the whole Gore story?  Although it seems that the problem of context menu is not related to Windows Explorer crashes, the tests I did apparently cleared up that, too.  He has not re-emerged in about 5 days.

    While disabling the services (Microsoft and others), I came across many problems of implementation of some programmes and operation did not work properly, as one would expect.  When I excluded services as a cause and reactivate all, I started having problems with the Windows installation files.  First of all, WordPerfect would not go and had to be reinstalled, but only after using the Windows Install Clean Up Utility (WICUU) to clear the Setup done reference file.  Then, I had a Windows Update failed (for the first time) and could not install an update of Silverlight.  This problem leads to WICUU as reference to installation of Silverlight was also damaged.  (I'm sure that other installation problems will arise, but I'll take those as they come).

    I don't know if, during my diagnosis, I somehow damage the installation files (do not see how that could happen) or if there is an independent issue which will be me still beset.  HOWEVER, for the moment, all is well... no crashes, no popups.

    I have no idea why the Win Explorer crashes stopped.  But when it comes to Windows, I never look a gift horse in the eye.  If it is not broke, I ain't trying to fix.  For the time being.

    Thanks again for your help.

  • Add the "Print Directory Listing" option to the context menu of Windows Explorer

    Get the error message when you try to use the "Print Directory Listing" solution found in:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321379/en-us on my new Windows 7 system (from February 2010).

    Could create the context menu of Windows Explorer for the task, but selecting just results in the following error message:

    "This file doesn't have an associatd with her program to perform this action. Please install a program or... to create an association in the default programs control panel. »

    Wentback and checked my Regedit work.  Even deleted the new key and she recreated (just in case.)

    NOTE: I had successfully used the instructions in this article to add "Print Directory Listing features on Windows XP systems, so I reviewed these instructions to see differences and noticed that it * no. * 'associate' step for Vista/Win7 in the article, but this step still shown for XP.»

    And, there seems to be NO WAY to associate a program (in this case, a ".bat") with all of 'record' as target.  Only choices I see these in the 'control panel default programs ' are'. [extensions] "and the protocols.

    So I'm puzzled.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    SJ Pratt

    I just tried this with instructions to the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321379/en-us link you provided and it worked fine.

    In view of the error you get here are my assumptions to what may be the problem.  Please try these out and answer:

    -Because it denounces, "file doesn't have an associated program.." I would make sure that when you created with Notepad the file .bat you na not to create a file called 'Printdir.bat.txt' or 'Printdir.bat.some_bad_extension '.  If your Windows Explorer settings are set to hide file extensions when you look at a file name, then maybe the REAL file extension you give the command file is being hidden on your part and Windows does not know how to open a file with the extension hidden type.  Make sure that you can see all the file extensions and make sure that the batch file is named with the .bat extension.

    -If you see very well all the file extensions in Windows Explorer and your file is called really Printdir.bat, make sure that you have saved in your root directory of Windows.  If you access %windir% you see Printdir.bat inside there?  If this isn't the case, put it there.  If you do, when you double-click the .bat file Windows run without error and print the dir?  If it works, you know that the batch file works correctly.

    -There's a typing error in the instructions for Vista/Windows 7, check that your registry entries look like this:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\Print directory Listing\command

    This shows the new key under shell called "Print Directory Listing" and inside this key/folder another folder/key named "command".

    To within the key/folder 'command', it takes only one entrance with the name of (by default).  Double-click (default) and make sure that its value data is set to:

    Printdir.bat %1

    -You shouldn't need step "the associate" in Windows 7.

    -You can add "Add Print Directory Listing to the context menu of Windows Explorer" for the title of your question so that others can find it.

  • Context menu when I click on a button.

    Hello

    I have a class that extends the screen and I crushed MakeMenu() I want to create a custom menu when I press "menu".

    My problem is that when I click on a button on the screen of my program is all what need then after all that it displays a context menu with options {Application Switch |} My menu | Full menu}

    This is my replacement of makeMenu(). Note: If I remove my call menu.add is solved the problem. But obviously I need the item in the full menu and no popup.

    Thanks in advance

    public void makeMenu(Menu menu, int instance) {
        super.makeMenu(menu, instance);
        menu.add(new MenuItem(new StringProvider("Settings"), 110, 10) {
            public void run() {
                SettingsHome setScr = new SettingsHome();
                UiApplication.getUiApplication().pushScreen(setScr);
            }
        });
    }

    You don't have to set these fields.

    The operating system takes care of it:

    public void makeMenu(Menu menu, int instance) {
        super.makeMenu(menu, instance);if(instance == Menu.INSTANCE_DEFAULT){ menu.add(new MenuItem(new StringProvider("Settings"), 110, 10) {
            public void run() {
                SettingsHome setScr = new SettingsHome();
                UiApplication.getUiApplication().pushScreen(setScr);
            }
        });
    }}

  • Context menu - edit the list item

    I've added context Menu items to the items on the list

    Something

    With the context Menu, I've added two elements, one for delete and quickly change an attribute of that object. The question is, how do you take the elementID the context menu I know what item to edit or delete?

    As I do with the onclick event.

    That's how I add the context Menu.

    var myItem = {actionId: '2', label: 'Remove', icon:'local:///images/icons/remove.png'},
            contexts = ["myContext"];
        blackberry.ui.contextmenu.addItem(contexts, myItem, function() {
            toast('You clicked Remove');
        });
        var myItem = {actionId: '1', label: 'Stop', icon:'local:///images/icons/stop.png'},
            contexts = ["myContext"];
        blackberry.ui.contextmenu.addItem(contexts, myItem, function() {
            toast('You clicked Stop');
        });

    Ideally, I would like to replace the automatic button 'Cancel' which shows with the "delete" button instead of creating an extra one for it.

    Thanks for any help!

    In fact, you can speciy this assistance in support for the webworks-Framework data as a JSON object. I have a blog sitting around that I still have to post... . So here's the gist of it:

    ((1 when you create the data webworks context attribute you can specify 2 types of data 1) a string or 2) a JSON object. The JSON object is in the following form:

    -"{'id': , 'type': , 'header': , 'subtitle': }" "

    These data will be analyzed by the custom context API JSON and set your headers when the CCM appears, as well as send it back the ID it was chosen for your reminder.

    2. This is why inside your reminder to add point put a parameter:

    var myItem = {actionId: '2', label: 'Remove', icon:'local:///images/icons/remove.png'},
            contexts = ["myContext"];
        blackberry.ui.contextmenu.addItem(contexts, myItem, function(Id) {
            toast('You clicked Remove on id:' + Id);
        });
        var myItem = {actionId: '1', label: 'Stop', icon:'local:///images/icons/stop.png'},
            contexts = ["myContext"];
        blackberry.ui.contextmenu.addItem(contexts, myItem, function(Id) {
            toast('You clicked Stop on id:' + Id);
        });

    Give that a shot and let me know how it goes

  • How to remove the context menu buttons?

    Hello

    I have a pretty annoying problem. I have installed GNU Emacs and Emacs W32 some time ago, but spent to vim. However, in the menu context (context menu) for any file text (.txt, .c or .java) it is always an option called "Edit with Emacs." Now, obviously I no longer use Emacs and uninstalled several months ago. However, I can't get rid of this option in the registry. When I click on it now it opens the 'Open with' instead.
    Anyone know how to remove this option from the context menu?
    Thank you!

    Take a look at the app ShellMenuView. See http://www.techspot.com/guides/210-edit-windows-extended-context-menu/ for instructions and download.

    Hello

    I created a small diagram to test, and indeed you cannot use the Insert create items in the design, but you can do it in Source view.

    To be even easier that I did was to take this scheme which had only a root with a choice and added another element like a father (so I added another level). Like this, you are able to use the Insert, and if you see the code that is generated after doing, in the Source, you'll have what you need.

    See you soon,.
