taskbar endangered

My Windows 7 taskbar keeps disappearing and having only been able to find a temporary solution to a Google search of other people with the same problem, I thought that I would get a more satisfactory response to my problem, however there was no mention of this problem apparently spilled on the Microsoft Web site , or the community formus.  That's why I always have my problem with my taskbar when the laptop is used after the screen saver turns off, and especially if I close the lid of my portable computer, the taskbar always in endangered missing goeas.  I then open the Task Manager, end the explorer.exe process and use file-run to launch it upwards to retrieve my bar tasks.  As you probably guessed, this is not solved the problem and indeed experienced using Windows 7 much worse than my old laptop running Windows XP.

The icon for my volume control disappeared on my taskbar and the network a few days ago and the share icon used to display the available networks. These icons are normally located left of my clock next to the battery meter. Can someone tell me how I can get back them?

To restore the default icons to the notification area of the taskbar, do a right click on the ORB start and click Properties and then click on the Notification area.  Check the items you want to appear, and then click OK.  You may need to restart if you want them to appear immediately.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Qudico,

Thanks for posting the query on Microsoft Community and we are pleased to help you on this question.

According to the description of the problem, you are unable to open the icons on the taskbar and access programs installed on the computer of the start screen.

You may need to check if the drivers on the computer are up-to-date.

Given that this problem occurred in a new computer, I suggest you to contact HP to update drivers currently installed on the computer.

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Hope that helps.

  • Lock the taskbar, what does this mean?

I learned to guess nothing during my time as a PC rocky + Win 7 critical, lack of reliability seems to be an exception, a constant reliable in my experience. In any case, I had assumed "Lock the taskbar" meant, block it in the State it is currently in + with a bit of luck it'll be in the same State the next time you're in the area. Unfortunately, although certainly not surprisingly, the fact that the address bar + the Quick Start link, keep endangered to God only knows where? Therefore, the question in the title was a, I couldn't help but ask. I despair already lack of autonomy which ensures reception too high a demand of the time of the pc user, not to mention the expertise, more issues incessant, breakdowns, + failures, I have now simply accept as "part of the fun. Thus, with the fact that I have never spent the time necessary to achieve the level of knowledge required to use a pc with any ease + effective user experience everything, for me, is often one that I could really do. An excellent example, as recent, really boring + no doubt fly me time I'd rather spend to little to do nearly anything else, having started up, I'm greeted with my touchpad is completely ' Friar Tuck-ed', no left, right click action, have not really looked into it yet but just basic navigation is difficult, the 'fun' really never stops. Could it be connected to the refusal of my taskbar to allow me to configure as I want? Any help that I really appreciate, especially as a useful, providing answers and solutions, sort of nature, extra love shuts down for that...

  • How to configure the desktop or the taskbar icon/link to Firefox so 42 or more recent version of Firefox always opens in a 'new private window'?

I use Linux on my Acer laptop. I want to use Mozilla Firefox version 42.0 or more recent in the 'new private window Mode"always. When I click on the Firefox icon on my desktop or the taskbar, I want Firefox to open in 'New private window' always; no exception. When I click on the tab button or a link, all new pages should always open 'Private window' mode. In addition, I want to know that I am in a private window with privacy mask showing. Your help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, Amos.

Hi Amos, assuming you want to get more protection, monitoring, there are a few options:

    • You can customize your firefox shortcut on the desktop or the taskbar to open firefox directly in private browsing mode: right-click the shortcut "mozilla firefox", go to properties, and at the end of the target line that should hold them the way to the firefox program folder add " -private"
    • You can enable protection followed not only during private browsing, but in normal windows as hollow a 'hidden' preference: enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named privacy.trackingprotection.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to true.
    • You can set firefox don't remember history in the menu > options > sign confidentiality in order to always run in private browsing mode. However you will not be able to open all normal windows or record the history and passwords if you have defined this mode: confidentiality, and-not-track browsing history settings
  • Why isn't the taskbar Windows 10 stay on top when browsing with Firefox?

For one reason or another, the Windows 10 taskbar is not displayed on the top of the Firefox browser windows/pages. He remains at the top in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. Why won't it stay on top in Firefox? I need to be able to see the time and date while browsing. Is there a solution to this? Please inform me of how to remedy the situation as soon as POSSIBLE, or I have to use Google Chrome (but I won't!).

If Firefox is in display full screen, that allows to block the taskbar. You can switch from full screen to normal display using either:

    • F11
    • Drag the pointer of the mouse to the top of the screen, right-click on an empty area of the bar tab, then exit fullscreen

If this is not it, sometimes the file that stores the dimensions of the window becomes corrupt with nonsense values. Since the file is difficult to edit, you can rename and have Firefox back to windows default sizes.

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

This process may disable some of the bars that you want to display. To enable their return, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

  • Have lost the main taskbar

The main taskbar on Thunderbird disappeared and I see no way to restore it. When I open Thunderbird all that appears is sidebar showing my records and e-mail accounts.

Press Alt or F10 to restore the menu bar where it is hidden.

Then from the main menu bar:
    View (Alt - V) - toolbars
    Check "Mail Toolbar.

  • How can I configure the button or the download icon in my taskbar? It is therefore visible without always having to look for downloads

The download button never displays on my screen or the taskbar. How do I set it so it doesn't? I couldn't find the answer to this on my research...

If you mean the animation down arrow/progress bar icon described in support- where to find and manage files in Firefox downloaded article - it should be there by default. Sometimes if you find yourself with too many buttons/icons on the toolbar, some controls 'overflow' on a drop-down list. The button for the menu drop-down has an > > icon. If you find that you can use customize to set the download button to a more useful location.

If it isn't here either, consider using the "Restore default settings" button down in the center of tab customize to return toolbars "defect". This article is for details on customize: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

  • How can I get rid of all ads by email appear in my taskbar to office (at the bottom of the screen) after that I connect to my Inbox TBird?

Icons show when I do an alt - tab (Windows XP) and when I click on the taskbar for Thunderbird a long list of emails, but to be treated appears. It's pretty new, not a problem for many years of happiness of the use of your e-mail program.

    I wasn't able to get a screenshot.

Thunderbird opens just as you closed. If you left 10 open messages in windows when you close they will be there the next time you start Thunderbird.
Regarding the relocation, move forward. It will occupy you for a while but not to change the way Thunderbird works normally.
