TCP/IP, the connection lost?

I'm talking with a supply of California Instruments MX15 using the TCP/IP protocol. I downloaded their GUI to control the power supply remote so I could familiarize myself with its operation. The user interface works fine without any connection problem. I'm now trying to make my own driver (the driver download that they provide on their site does not work) to control remote electric power. I have attached the VI that I try to send just the * IDN? command and query an answer back. If I can get this working, I have no problem to find the rest. However I tried to figure this out for the last day or two and nothing helped. I'm new to TCP/IP, but now I understand the bases because of all my google work many hours:

I have attached my VI to watch. As you can see I tried to use the VISA function as well as the TCP service. The TCP function works fine without error returned, but returns nothing in the buffer and expires. The VISA function however opens communications on the electric network but when I try to send a command to the power it gives me this error:

Error 1073807194 has occurred at an unidentified place

Possible reasons:

VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF00A6) the connection of the given session has been lost.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

You send a character of endpoint with MAX, but not in your VI. Don't forget to click with the right button on the constant and activate '-' code display.

VISA server isn't essential.

    Hello guys,.

I use an ethernet connection to query the data of 2 units of acquisition of sensors.

This request is motivated by a second timed loop period 30. As this rate is very low, I have the close connection and reopen it each time.

I try to connect to the device via the same 2 ports each time, 50,000 and 50 001.

I get the error message that the connection is already used for a close connection of TCP executed without error before.

The network view TCP tool monitor gives me the screen following [network_connections.png] when I run w/o specifying the local port. It seems that the previous connection are not adequately closed and are always in the TIME_WAIT state. This list is continuouslly prices, leading to errors of networks. (For the units IP address is 200.0.4.152 and 153)

Could you please help me on this?

To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following question:

You receive an error message or error code?

Try these methods and see if it solves the problem.

Method 1: Run the network troubleshooter to diagnose and repair any problem related to your network. The below mentioned link to get the access procedure:

  • the connection of the given session was lost

I have connected to the power supply IDRC DSP - 300-2, 5 HR via ethernet by VISA. After the connection system is normal. I send commands and receive responses. But when I stop and start feeding it new VISA refreshes the information on this subject. Get a power supply IP by DHCP, same IP has not changed, but I get the message "VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF00A6) the connection of the given session was lost" when trying to write the function VISA Write command. Information about resources in the visa system I get VISA resource find vi. How to solve this problem?

PS Power supply connected on the second Ethernet card in the system.

Yes, what you describe is expected behavior. When you turn off the power, the connection is broken and must be restored. How many times do you need to.communicate with this device? It might be more efficient to open a connection, do what you must do and then close the connection.

  • TCP server loses the connection

Hi, I tried searching for this and not found the exact problem, even if I'm in trouble he described.

First of all I want to do is simple data acquisition with a couple of photometers, sensors and thermocouples. I have this game on a central computer and I'm using labview to send data to a tcp port and from there another program accepts data using sockets and stores it on a remote computer.

The problem is that, once a few hours of the central computer with all the instruments appear to be due give up in the network. A strange thing is that it only seems to happen with the photometric measurements, which are simple analog voltage readings and not thermocouples - or at least that's how it has been for a few days. The mainframe is still relatively sensitive and can be crazy, but no Internet and data can be harvested (socket.receive does not work). I turned off all firewalls and antivirus interference I could think.

    Any ideas?

Edit: My band-aid fix was to put the SRP on a more powerful than the mainframe computer, because it can be a question of resources? I am also the two pending Babysitting until I can get a real difficulty.

As Mark mentioned, you not close your connections. The operating system can only maintain a number of connections, and when you reach that number it accepts no more until the closure of the existing ones. Each time waiting on the listener feedback a new connection, which is a created connection that you should close when the communication ends. Instead you're down the reference, as there is no way to close it. The way you wrote it, you must close the connection inside the loop, and then close the listener after the while loop ends.

That said, are you sure that's how you want your structured code? You must accept a single connection on each of the 7 ports + until you accept another connection on any one of these ports. It's an unusual arrangement.

I LOST MY IP TRYIN TO CONNECT TO THE CONNECTION OUT OF TOWN, HOW DO I GET TO RECONNECT BACK TO WIRELESS. ___

    PORTABLE STUDIO

Enable the DHCP and the system assigns you an IP address (from the list that you create available addresses) instead of using a static - so you won't remember.

In the meantime, the only real solution is to restore the network (including the wireless network and regular network settings) to create a new IP address, which will work with the new neework DMMX. If you do not know the appropriate settings, contact your ISP and they will guide you through the process step by step until you are once more the program installation and connected.

    I hope this helps.

  • Data connection lost until the traction battery on

I'm working on a program with the http call, we sometimes find that the device loses the data until the reset the battery connection. This happens only once in several days, but it happens again and again. This only happens on 8830 and 8330, it never happened on 9530 or other newer devices. It looks like so there is a question about the RIM OS.

My question is, do we have any solution to work around him. (someone said that we should avoid parallel http calls, is it true?)

I did a search on the forum, I found that some thread also referred to same issue:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=8300&message.ID=37249&query.ID=608157...

It's happened a lot with me on 8830. I can reproduce the problem whenever I want. If I have several successive http requests by using a direct TCP connection the problem happens. I also noticed that it happens on 8830 with OS 4.2.x. He can't get on 9530. My explanation of what it could be a bug somewhere in the old version of the OS.

My job is to use MDS all the time. That seems to fix the problem. But the connection still from time to time expires. (better than to take out the battery).

I'm sorry, but could you explain a little more in detail what the problem is? If you are on the same computer on the same network that you got this message, it simply means that there is a problem, but (of course) you can go back to that now. End of problem?

  • Check the connections TCP & UDP host through ACL

    Hello!

I use ACL to control TCP UDP & connections pass through my router (C805 & C2500). I plan to control of the host, but after I have created a new ACL that and add it on IP Access-Group of my Serial interface, the acl that I add before who is used to control the connections TCP & UDP is removed because of an ACL. How can I handle this?

What you have is a standard access list, which would block anything with the source 127.0.0.1 address and an access list more extended negates several types of traffic.

To combine I would rewrite the access list standard as a broader access list:

    access-list 100 deny ip 127.0.0.1 host everything

who deny packets whose source 127.0.0.1 address.

I would put rewriting stated as first statement in the new list access followed by others which would give you this:

Note 100 access list refuse the specific host

    access-list 100 deny ip 127.0.0.1 host everything

Access-list 100 remark block number TCP and UDP ports

access list 100 permit tcp any any eq www

    access-list 100 permit tcp a whole Workbench

access-list 100 tcp refuse any any eq 135

access-list 100 tcp refuse any any eq 445

access-list 100 tcp refuse any any eq 593

access-list 100 deny udp any any eq 135

access-list 100 deny udp any any eq tftp

access-list 100 deny udp any any eq netbios-ns

    access ip-list 100 permit a whole

    That should do it.
