  Hello, I'm currently developing a program to order 3 controllers with labview thorlabs TDC001. I created a basic program (I m new on labview) with the guide found in http://www.thorlabs.com/images/TabImages/GuideToLabVIEWandAPT.pdf. , so I found myself with the program attached below. Trying to debug it I end up with the error. [Code = 10109]. Can someone help me?

  I m really sorry seams as the issue is resolved. For anyone else having the same problem basically the connector usb white of the TDC001 did not communicate with my pc. I put it in place on the platform TCH002 and after installing the drivers, it seems to work correctly.

  I'm able to control an axis in Labview platform APT now. Anyonw knows how can I access APT with my joystic 3 axes (either Labview or APT User Interface), so that I can use it to control the motors controllers?  Thank you!

  You try to learn programming manual from the (not-so-bad, actually) LabVIEW, you reference in your message?  If so, it would be wise to find a LabVIEW guru and get to teach you the basics of the LabVIEW programming, including the importance of data flows (and how to serialize your code using error line) and good programming Style LabVIEW ("Lesson #1 - all the diagrams should fit on a single screen of laptop , and if it's not then break down the task into sub - VI. ("" "" Lesson #2 - all sub - VI and VI is in need of an icon and a Description ').

  You don't say what the problem is that you are experiencing.  Could I guess that it involves the three-axis Joystick?  There are Joystick support in LabVIEW, but it's a little dark and a little outside the usual way of handling equipment.

  Give us a better idea of what questions you have.

• MoveComplete with positioning Thorlabs?

  Problem:

  I want to move a certain distance on the x-axis (works well), but I want to know when this ends, so I don't know when to start AND stop data acquisition.  I use method calls to get the current position of the engine several times and checking that falls within my limits of travel, but it seems cludgy and complicated.  I did some research and found that I can use what is called "MoveComplete", which warns me when the motor is made movement.  I'm pretty new to labview and I am naïve how to access this feature.  I thought this would be a method provided by a node, but it is not.  I did a lot of research and reading and I guess I need to set up an event (with the Manager, etc.)?  I watched the event with excel example and I'm still lost.  Yet once very clueless how to proceed.  Anyone who has any advice or an example of work would be GREATLY appreciated.  Thank you.

  To help use event callbacks in LabView with APT Thorlabs software there is an example loctaed on the last CD of APT (v2.9.0) at the following address;

  rootupport\Developer Support\LabView\Basic Examples\Projects\Motor\TL engine MoveComplete.vi

  Set the correct serial number for a controller of motor in this VI and running it show a call back routine for complete removal event. Run the VI and press the button "run" on the Active-X engine control panel. Whenever a move is complete a message appears.
