  I bought my Tecra A3 - 108 3 years and everything works fine. But 2 GB RAM Windows Vista with certainty is not enough. I want to upgrade the/3 GB with 1 to 2 GB and 1 module of 1 GB.

  In-service tries with Apacer memory running at 800 MHz, but Tecra has not identified 3 GB, just 2 GB :(

  Service technician said that 800 MHz is too fast for this model.

  My question is: what memory should I buy to upgrade my Toshiba? I mean, what is the maximum speed on the Tecra can work? 667 MHz?

  Above all the RAM speed has nothing to do with the upgrade memory max.
  The notebook chipset is not able to manage the 3 GB of RAM, and so the 3 GB of RAM are not recognized! It s any speed RAM is.

  I guess that the laptop uses an Intel 915 GM or similar and this chipset chipset manages max 2 GB of RAM.

  3) "Retail", the more expensive but, I understand that, can be transferred or installed on a PC refurbished, although it is only has a license valid on a PC at the same time. Is there a difference between "Retail" and "Upgrade"? Can I use one over the other? If so, why? Is there a difference?

Is it possible that I can know without having the product in my hands, or installed on my system, whether or not an article supposed to be "Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 bit" is actually authentic. Is there a relevant question, can I ask which would identify a fake before I part with my money?

  Personally, I've used several graphic programs 2D and 3D even on Windows XP Mode, include The Print Shop, PhotoDraw 2000 v2 and they work very well to this topic. The article I linked to provide instructions how to publish your applications, you can use alongside Windows 7 applications.

  No, you will need to purchase a new license if your Windows 7 OEM System Builder License fails. You could of course try install and reactivate the components on the new motherboard before buying a new license, because some people have been 'lucky' get it reactive but is is not a guarantee. If the motherboard is replaced based on a defect or warranty, you should be able to reactivate the replacement motherboard.

  The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

  -OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

  -OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

  -OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

  You cannot upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7. Especially in the case of Windows XP Professional x 64, you need start a custom Setup by booting from the Windows 7 DVD.

  Click Install now

However, it is better for me to buy a microphone for the audio part I can do the same.  I don't know enough about external/add on video/webcam to see if I should buy one that manages audio and video and if a mechanism exists which does both optimally; or if I should buy the separated because it is how I will to reach optimal video and audio for FaceTime one my Mac Pro.

  I saw a great offer for Tecra M4 tablets. The only thing is that the GPU has only 64 MB of RAM. But I don't want to run the Advanced (or premium) version of Vista, including Aero.

  So, my question is, the series M4 includes memory shared to the GPU? If this is the case, then I can increaes the RAM from 512 MB base at least a 1 GB and the GPU can use part of it and therefore to run Aero.

  Also, I suspect that the versions of M4 offer have sub-6600 NVIDIA GPU, they would still allow use of Aero, assuming that the shared memory is possible?

  AFAIK the graphics cards on computers notebooks Tecra M4 is not shared memory and you can't change the video RAM.

  Best choice is to use the supplied drivers Toshiba. These drivers are tested and optimized for some portable model.

  Win7 driver update can not work properly and all screw up the pre-installed driver.

  Original ATI driver is not optimized for your laptop model and can force a graphics card to run on the limit.
  Which can end with overheating or damage equipment.
  It is also possible that the official ATI driver cannot be installed on your laptop.

  But you have a processor i7-59xx overclocked to about 4.5 GHz with 32 + DDR4-2400 or better and a single SSD drive configuration? If this isn't the case, then the 980Ti is excessive.

  I shoot most of Nikon RAW files and perform a typical treatment post and finally send to Zenfolio (via Lightroom) for my client to download.

  I want to give them the highest resolution file on a disk so that they can store in it archives for future needs. What is the best format. Convert RAW to TIFF, PSD or DNG. Most of my clients have Photoshop, Lightroom, or other professional editing software. I want that they have the top of the ground in the future when I retired (haha) they can do, or have a service, any enlargement of the size, make the additional manulipition and so on.

  TIFF is the best file format to deliver to your customers to print and especially if you don't know what software they use and that you will not change.

  TIFF is very common and Mac/PC friendly.  If your needs are archival, print quality high resolution, and be able to open on almost all software, that's what you want.

  Hello coffee_man, I know what you mean. Can you could find a company with a dual PCIe x 16 slot system and a higher power supply, but you must be prepared to pay a premium for one of these management systems.

  Most of the OEM suppliers does not have one of these systems in the divisions of their house.

  At first, I must say that you are right about upgrade memory. Your laptop can handle with 2 GB of RAM.
  Your description is a bit confusing for me. If you have upgraded to 2 GB, you have probably used 2 x 1 GB RAM.
  So, I don't understand what you mean with * only reads 512 MB stick. *

  Do you use compatible Rams? Can you test the two slots and confirm that they are not defective?

  First of all: your machine is able to handle a maximum capacity of 4 GB RAM, but please be aware that you won´t be able to use all of the 4 GB due to some limitations of the chipset that are explained in the following article: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB82022E0000R01.htm

  Regarding the speed of module: chipset specifications are defined for PC5300, so it will not improve your speed when you install faster modules.

  If you want to upgrade your hard drive then do as you like, because it shouldn´t be any restrictions, you can install a drive with 7200 RPM with a slower.

  The only difference will be that the faster drive faster. The performance of the entire system would increase only when you´re install your operating system on the disk more fast (which is the recommendation of my side :))

  Toshiba Europe page provides no information about the BIOS fixes!
  Why? Who knows? I found some info on the BIOS on the Toshiba site improvements we but as you know that the BIOS since the US site is not the same as the BIOS since the European Toshiba of the site. The BIOS of the American site can only be used on laptops designed for the American market.

  By the way; I checked the details on the European driver from Toshiba site and it seems that the 3.4 BIOS for Tecra M5 with model number PTM51E-xxx only
