Tecra M4 - Mainboard double display Hack

Hello

As my Tecra M4 died because of a broken three months CPU fan earlier, I already knew that, this laptop I'd then buy: a Tecra M4 :) I really like this camera.

So now I have my new Tecra M4 (40th) and dismantled the old components. (except the motherboard - which was a 42nd)

As I disassembled the unit, I saw, that the external VGA output is placed with the USB port on a small circuit, which is connected to the motherboard by the same kind of care, as the screen internal.

Now, my bright idea is _disassemble my new M4 also, connect the display of my old M4 to the second Jack on the motherboard and assemble the two views in a new business House. _

There is just one problem: I don't know if it works. Can I break my new mainboard, if I put this construction market?

I hope you can answer this question - or tell me who else I can ask.

Kind regards
SpongeStone

Hey Buddy. I think you're the first person who wants to try this I think nobody has tried this in the past and in my opinion it s not worth trying because of certain other risks!

You can damage everything; motherboard, CPU, and other parts that are connected to the card.
More air circulation would not properly work because of the other form of matter!
So, this could lead to a higher temperature and some of the damage

In my opinion you should not try this!

    Hello

I have a problem with my laptop (Tecra S5 series).
Every time when I start or restart my laptop, the screen moves too slowly, it has yellow bands and sometimes is flashing.
When I open the Device Manager I see the graphics card (NVIDIA Quadro NVS 130 M) with yellow circuit with a brand extension. When I go inside it is said: the device cannot start. Code 10.

Then I have to go Safe Mode, uninstall the drivers for NVIDIA Quadro NVS 130 M, reinstall and restart. I noticed that when this video adapter is OK, so I don't have problems with my laptop screen.

    Can someone help me?

What operating system do you use?
I put t know since when you have this problem, but if this happens again and again I recommend you to install original OS that you got with your laptop. It contains the original, including the display driver drivers, and something like that should not happen.

  • Vista and Tecra S1 - need new Display Driver

    Hi all

I hope you can help me.
I installed Vista Ultimate on my Toshiba Tecra S1 (of control), but I have no correct video driver. Only for Windows XP Home display-ts1-xp-614106476 driver is not accepted by Vista and my Tecra with Videodriver standard but graphic short is very slow.

    Is there a solution?

Thanks a lot for your answer

    Regards Wolfgang

    Hello

To my knowledge, the Tecra S1 was delivered with the graphics card of 32 MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 graphics card.
On the Toshiba page you will certainly find no Vista drivers for this device.

I think 3rd websites and goggling in internet research is your last resort

  • Tecra S5 - no support display 1680 x 1050 under Win XP

    Hello

I have a Tecra S5 with NVIDIA Quadro NVS 130 M, 512 MB. The driver version is 6.14.11.5692.
And monitor external en Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW.

Using Win Vista as an operating system, I can set the resolution to 1680 x 1050 for the external monitor.
But I pass on Win XP and now I don't have to choose the resolution 1680 x 1050 for the Samsung monitor.

Can you help me on this?

Have you installed the latest display for Windows XP driver?
On the Toshiba website version 6.14.11.5692 for Windows XP is the newest (even in Vista).

The external monitor is recognized as a Plug & Play monitor?
You can also test pilots of the manufacturing. There is a driver available for Windows XP.

  • Tecra A2: WDDM, LDDM display driver for Windows Vista

I searched various sites for an AeroGlas compatible display driver for my Tecra A2. I ' v have not found anything on the Intel and Toshiba sites. Is there a chance for such a driver?

    Thank you

    Sincerely
    Stefan

    Hello

    What is AeroGlas?
What is a special application that is not compatible with the graphics driver?

Unfortunately, Toshiba recommend to use own graphics drivers because they are a bit changed.
The graphics drivers support protection overheating graphics cards.
If the graphics card temperature increases at critical level driver degrades performance of the card.

However, if the drivers Toshiba and Intel drivers graphics doesn t work so I guess there's not much to do ;(

  • Tecra A7-112 of display cannot display all the colors corectly

Hi, I have the same problem with my screen than that of this post: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=14718&messageID=54000

It seems that my screen may not display all colors corectly and it seems protected by a kind of tasks/works of art in most colors.
Here is a picture, not so good but still, my question:

    http://www.Logicode.ro/test.jpg
    http://www.Logicode.ro/Test1.jpg

You can see the first color - pure red it seems correct and solid but second it - a small red varation there artifacts / protected by a kind of tasks.

I learned that it is a problem of dithering that can be set in the BIOS.

For the Satellite A100-237 the problem has been resolved by downgrading to an older version of bios, but what can I do with my laptop Tecra A7-112? :|

    Hello

Have you checked whether the BIOS most recent update has been published on the driver page?
I put t know if it helps but you can also try to update the display driver.

  • Tecra A4 began to display graphics reversed

My Tecra has suddenly started to display reverse graphice - as a negative of the true picture. But it is on a secondary monitor, so it seems that the internal display can be broken. How to diagnose what the fault is, and it is easy to replace the screen on a Tecra if that is what it takes?

    Thank you

Probably it s not a TFT display, but only the FL-inverter malfunction.
The FL inverter is not very expensive.
It looks like to your have no experiences with notebook and the replacement of parts and so I would not recommend do it by yourself.

Ask a technician in your country for a diagnosis and replacement.

  • Double display C20 behavior

    Hello world

I have a 9TC6 C20) with dual license installed. I have exactly the same display on both screen every time. I have fixed HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 as first screen role. In this way, I got exactly that I want except for presentations remotely. When the remote site starts a presentation, it is not displayed on the screen.

I'd appreciate if anyone has an idea to get the behavior I'm looking for.

    Hi Martin,

How your system is set up: as a single or dual monitor.
I think you should install as a single monitor with HDMI outputs both primary role.
In this case, your system will display video and presentation on both outputs.

If the system is configured as double monitor, the presentation will be always check on the second exit (in which case it is configured as second or presentation only). But, as Setup you the second exit first, we saw not the presentation.

I hope this will help you!

Any difficulty? ID prefer to just tear the accupoint out like a defective ball joint... but that will just make things worse I'm sure! : P

    Hello

I had the same problem with my Tecra M1. The mouse pointer moved like crazy and I t n have no chance to move using the touchpad. I reinstalled the driver for the TouchPad and now the mouse is disabled and I use an external mouse only.

If you want to fix this, you must replace the keyboard.
Installation of the driver, try it please.

  • Double display problem

I have a large screen monitor attached to my Toshiba laptop Compaq. I used both portable computer and monitor to display the same images (office). Last night, I was getting the 'no signal' message on the monitor, so I tried FUNC PF5 on mobile phone reset and allow two screens. Now I see the mouse pointer and the image on the big screen, but only see my screensaver on the laptop. I have more desktop icons or the pointer (position) on the laptop. I tried all sorts of things, so I screwed it up somewhere.

    < now="" i="" see="" the="" image="" and="" mouse="" pointer="" on="" the="" large="">

You mean you can see the desktop without icons? The case when you are in extended desktop mode.

    < but="" only="" see="" my="" screensaver="" on="" the="">

What is the screen saver stops? If can be stopped do you see the desktop and icons? You can do a right click on the desktop, click personalization, on the left pane, click Windows Mobility Center, on the tile, presentation settings click the 'enable '. Then check the box before "Dual Display" on the presentation Option button, and then click the continue"" button.

  • T400 w/ATI & dock: double display issue

I have the T400 w/ATI discrete graphics and advanced docking station. I have a monitor connected to the DVI on the dock. I have forced "Discrète" graphics in the BIOS.

When it is docked, I prefer the monitor to be the 'main' monitor, with the screen of the laptop as a secondary monitor with the extended desktop on it. When undocked, the laptop is (obviously) only display.

When I detach, everything works as expected: the display is moved or resized to fit the screen of the laptop.

When I re-dock, however, the video is not retrieve correctly. Instead of having the display extended on it, display is reproduced on both monitors. I must go to the display settings each time go back to the way I prefer to spend.

How can I keep my settings favorite when I dock?

Configure the display setting in your Director presentation Fn + F7 and it would save your preferred setting, so next time, it's just a job of a few button to find your favorite Setup.

  • Re: Tecra S2 Dockingstation with 2 monitors

    Hello

When I'm in my office, I use two monitors in dualview with the docking of my Tecra S2 without the screen of the laptop.

My graphics card, NVIDIA GO6600, found the two monitors (Len1 and Len2) and I can choose output Len1 and Len2. After the "OK" button select it changes automatically Notbook and Len1.

Will there be a chance to use both monitors in dualview with the docking station without the laptop screen?

Note: When I choose cloneview, both monitors work without the screen of the laptop, but not in dualview.

    Thank you for your help.

    Thomas

    Hello Thomas

As far as I know that something like this is not possible and double display is possible in combination with portable screen only. If you check the display change service options in the extension of Toshiba Mobile tool, you will see that this option is not available.

To use two external displays with your laptop, you need an external device, such as Toshiba Dynadock.

  • Can I replace the graphics card on Tecra M2?

I have a Tecra M2 and the display shows verticle lines across the entire screen. These lines also appear when plugged upward on a normal screen.
I checked Device Manager and it says that the nvidia card "cannot start." The problems had me uninstall and won't reinstall, no luck.
Next option is to unplug and then plug back in, but is it possible? If it is separate would rather just replace the card. Thanks for any help.

    Chase

From your description of the error, this really sounds like a malfunction of the GPU (graphics processing unit).
Unfortunately, it is a serious offense and if a replacement of material you will not be able to fix this :(

It is a case value because you can not only replace the graphics card. You need to replace the whole motherboard because the GPU is soldered on the Board and cannot be removed easily.

There is nothing to my buddy.
Seems that you need to contact a support technician.

    Good luck
