  The change of motherboard is which has activation problem. If you have an OEM version of Windows XP that is preinstalled, so you will not be able to activate as all OEM versions are linked to the first computer / motherboard, it is installed on. However if you have a "Full" version of the retail try then the phone activation.

  If you receive an error indicating that your product key is not valid when installing Windows 7, it could be for the following reasons:

  a. you can did your product key. Try having to retype.

  b. you may use a product key that does not match the version of Windows Vista that is installed on your computer. Check the product key to ensure that it is for the version that you are trying to activate.

We now have an iMac shared with accounts of different users for each of us. We continue however, getting errors with creative sign-in cloud.   As far as I know, you can't have two activations open at the same time on a single computer... you MUST sign for it to connect and vice versa to be able to use your account

  Everything was fine until a laptop wouldn't play ball. I went through the offline activation process, received my response Code, complete the activation.   Hi, thought I would come here and pick some brains.  I have a machine in front of me running Vista Home Premium SP1.  It is a Packard Bell PC with a motherboard failed. These cards do not have PB, so I had to buy another kind, and which triggered the activation request.

  So, I ran the Vista product recovery CD after I put the new Board in, and loaded it up.  I had pretty much finished machine yesterday and this morning I got an activation error.  No problem, I thought, but I can't activate the key because it is preinstalled.

  So my problem is this: when I activate the product, I can't activate it online, there is an error.  However, normally there is an option to activate in other ways, such as by telephone.  On this version of Vista, however, this option is missing.

  Can anyone suggest how I can get the phone activation option can I revalidate the license?  I tried everything I know.

  I don't know if you'll be able to activate the license because the recovery CD was for the original motherboard, but:
