    This is the error I get whenever I boot windows and I think it may be related to a problem I was. Most of my prefrences recorded for windows is not in working condition (as my taskbar is not able to change the settings). I have scowered the interwebs for a response, even using Google and even * shudder * Bing. My Riddle has baffled many, can someone help out me?

    I have consulted the temp folder and this particular text file is not present. Maybe if I create a new one, it will work? I'm not to try it again, but if someone could confirm that I would be much happier!

    I don't know any reason that Windows must be looking for a text file to start.  You can create a file in this location, but I think it would be better to use the free Windows Sysinternals Autoruns tool to find and remove the reference to the file.

  • New Qosmio G30 hangs after some time by doing nothing about it

    Hello

    I'm a software engineer. It means that I know only a few things on computers. But this new Qosmio makes me unhappy because I see no chance to let it run stable. I got this phone about 2 weeks. This week * the system crashed about 10 to 15 times *. Is the horrible thing, I can't do anything else than * holding down the power button for 10 seconds to restart this machine *.
    Original Vista Ultimate is installed. External devices, or USB mouse. I changed the power "always being run" mode to be sure that the effect is not any energy saving mode. I have updated all the drivers to the latest version. But with the same effect.
    I really need to start working with this computer, but I can't trust him at this time. I need help as soon as possible!

    In this case, I downloaded the information system on this site:

    _Basics are: _
    Vista Ultimate 6.0.6000 Build 6000 (updates made)
    BIOS 3.90
    QOSMIO G30
    CPU: Intel Core T7400 2.16 GHz, 2 Kern, 2 logical processors

    Hi dude

    It's not easy to say why the laptop s OS crashes.
    It is maybe something wrong with the s operating system installed?  :| who knows.

    I think you should install the OS preinstalled Toshiba and it should test then

    If the laptop still crashes the single RAM modules need to be tested.
    I think you could blow an and could test the laptop using a single module of RAM.

    Good luck

    I can't use quotes more around 'my folder' and my ^ folder is not accepted by atprogram.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

    To enter a "in the arguments text box you must enter------" instead:

    your string should look like this:

  • Dumping Variables in the text file, separate from the TS report

    Hi all

    I know that I can probably do this in TestStand using LabView, however, which is not a luxury that I have.

    What I'm trying to do is, when a failure occurs, empty a specific set of information in a separate (probably text file) log file share the standard test report.  For example, I could be followed by some tampons or test State of the equipment in stationglobals, when a test fails, I want to empty the part of the overall station in a different newspaper, once again, apart from test report, is it possible?

    Looks like the closest thing to research through TS and the support forums, I found is to use ActiveX calls to maybe MS Word or Excel and generate something there?  I was expecting something a little simpler?

    Kind regards

    Mike

    Hi Mike,.

    Try this:

    Write, method

    Syntax

    PropertyObject. Write (pathchaine, objectName, RWoptions)

    Goal

    Writes the content of an object in the file specified by pathchaine and associate it with the name specified by ObjectName with the object in the file.

    Remarks

    If you call this method on an object alias, TestStand generates the stream using the object to which the alias refers. This method does not include the Subproperty alias objects in the stream. See IsAliasObject for more information on the alias objects.

    Parameters

    pathchaine String

    [In] Pass the path of the file to which to write the data of the object.

    objectName String

    [In] Pass the name to associate with the object.

    RWoptions Both

    [In] Pass 0 to specify the default behavior, or pass one or more constants of ReadWriteOptions . Use the bitwise OR operator to specify multiple read/write options.

    For example, to make a statement in a sequence with local variables, and run:

    Locals.Write (C:\\temp\\Locals.txt","Locals",0" ")

    This will generate a text file containing the values of the local variables. You can use it on any object, but you will probably need to ask with the options to get what you want.

    I hope this helps.

  • At run time, detect how program has Ran (upon request against user)

    Hello

    I am writing a LabWindows program that backs up data. I'll add this to my scheduled Windows tasks, but I also want that it is able to detect if someone is trying to manually run it and open an "administration panel".

    Yes, is there a way direct to detect how the file was run, whether on demand or run manually?

    Or y at - it a way to feed my program a '1' for him asking if it was run by a batch file and if it detects not only '1' then he opens the administration panel? I assume that if he is not the direct route, I would create a scheduled task that runs a batch file, put a '1' in a text file, and then runs the program. Then the program automatically checks in the race so that '1' is there...? After the program is run, the '1' is deleted again.

    Thanks in advance!

    Turbo

    Turbo:

    One way to do would be to use a command line parameter.

    When you configure the scheduled task, pass a command line parameter, for example / Quiet, to notify your program to run without the administration panel.  You can add a parameter of the command line simply by going to the list of scheduled task, right click on your task, selecting Properties and adding the parameter of the command line after the name of the exe file (separated by a space).  When a user executes it interactively, for example from a shortcut on the desktop or in the start menu, they don't use the command line parameter so the program does not work in silent mode.

    Read the command line like this:

    #include
    #include
    int main (int argc, char * argv [])
    {
    int i;
    int quiet = 0;
    for (i = 1; i
    print the parameters only if/quiet is not passed
    If (stricmp (argv [i] "/ Quiet") == 0)
    quiet = 1;

    If (! quiet)
    {
    printf ("number of command line parameters: %d\n", argc);
    printf("Parameters:\n");
    for (i = 0; i
    printf ("%s\n", argv [i]);
    printf ("Press any key to continue...\n");
    GetKey();
    }
    return 0;
    }

    The disadvantage of this method is that if they are running the program in the list of scheduled task, it will run in silent mode.

    Another thing you could try is to use schtasks.exe, which comes with Windows XP, for a list of scheduled tasks, is your task in the list, check what time it is planned to execute, display time and assume that the task runs as scheduled and not manually, if present is in a short time of the scheduled time.

    Use the system() function to run schtasks.exe, save the output in a file, and then open the file and read it.

    System ("cmd.exe /c schtasks.exe/query /fo list > c:\\temp\\tasklist.txt");

    Using the format option of list for a schtasks query, you would look first for the TaskName, then for the next run time.

    To see the command line options for querying tasks scheduled by using schtasks.exe, type the following command line:

    schtasks/query /?

    You can try a few things

    (1) running WoW repair tool
    (2) reinstall the drivers of your graphics (which means uninstalling the software and drivers that exist and then installing the new on the NVidia site - some said it worked)
    (3) to make a diagnosis of memory
    (4) try to clean the registry (I recommend CCleaner - some people claim it worked too)

    Hello Gumnut
    Please write to the Microsoft Forums.

    To help you better, please answer this question.
    1 do you mean Pandor's box or it's Pandora's box.

    (A). you can try to use the Windows Install Cleanup to remove remnants of installations failed, below.
    Description of the Windows Installer Cleanup utility
    A link to the below information and to download:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301

    When you are working on your computer and install a new program, the installation suddenly fails. Now, you're left with a partly installed program. You try to install the program again, but you're unsuccessful. Or, maybe you have problems trying to remove an old program because the installation files are damaged.

    Do not worry. Windows Installer Cleanup Utility may be able to help. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer Cleanup Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

    B. now try to install Pandora's box and see if that fixes the problem.

    It may be useful
