Temporary installation folder Elements10 on the desktop?

Hello

PSElements10 and PSPpemiereE10 installers created a folder on my desktop to extract the installation files.

Programs completed the installation ok.

The files are still there on my desk... each contains a readme file, .mst, msi asetup exe file and other configuration/files files.

The question is... can I delete these files (after the registration of the Readme (in English)?

Thanks for the responses,

Vaughan

Hello

You can go ahead and delete those files in which the installation files have been extracted from when the installation has been successful. They won't cause any problems with the functionality of Photoshop & first 10 elements.

I hope this helps.

  • The contents of the folder WAV files will not work unless the folder is on the desktop.

Re: Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit W/sp2 installed.

I created a new folder for Wav files and set it on my desk until I was finished downloading the files for convenience purposes. I then used them to slightly change the default sounds for different commands, events and others. Everything worked fine until I moved the folder on the desktop to another location. Files located in the folder assigned and uncorrupted but will no longer work when the event or the command is enabled. If I move the folder to the desktop everything works well again. No error or anything are reported. The files in the folder will simply not work unless the folder is on the desktop. Is that all I could do to fix this?

I use Windows Vista, packs latest.

Somehow, my start folder Menu has been linked directly to do my office.  There is a folder (Start Menu) on the desktop which cannot be deleted and can be moved to any other place, other than just another post on the desktop itself.

I have the program set to the Classic Style button and Start Menu now appears above the horizontal line that separates the programs, Documents, etc., other links.  I want her to be out there, as this seems to be a kind of vicious circle.

I have absolutely no idea of what I can pushed have obtained this file where it is.  What should I do?

    Thank you.

You know what?  After playing with him for a while, I just jumped start "real" of the Classic Mode to normal mode (for Vista), and then he jumped to classic.  Solved the problem.  I do not know how, why, I didn't even do it intentionally.

I am completely free of malware, etc.

  • Microsoft Choice screen Update (KB976002) browser installs a shortcut on the desktop and no window opens

Sorry for the long cuff. After that Windows Update found this update, I chose to install it, but there is no sign of a shortcut from where I could choose between different browsers and no screen appears where I was supposed to do the same thing. My system is:
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit English (Danish language pack) OEM installed on over Windows Vista.

Did you already have firefox or another browser besides IE by default when you install the browser choice?
If yes then the ballot screen will not appear.

  • Excel file on the desktop disappeared

Toshiba laptop about 2 weeks running Vista Business. New on Vista also.

On the desktop, I have an Excel spreadsheet that I use as a time sheet that I update regularly. the last used about 2-3 days ago.

Turn on the laptop today and he disappeared. I know that I'm deleting it.

Vista is a desktop cleanup and delete this? If so is it put it somewhere?

Tried to do a system restore, but I can see only an empty place, if I go back enough.

Then the files are safe to leave on the desktop and if so why he would table disappeared?

I don't know why your file disappeared. No, this to happen usually like magic in itself. System Restore does not restore data in files. Restore your Excel from your backup file and put it in your Documents folder instead of the desktop computer. Create a shortcut on the desktop. It's one of the reasons why having the files on the desktop is a bad idea. They can be deleted by mistake or sauteed in a backup too easily. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • lock the files/folders to a location on the desktop?

I want to lock a folder to a location on the desktop and have it not move from there, IE (right click), (lock folder/file on the desktop). Is this possible?

ALSO is there any place to changes in demand/request/volunteer you want with Microsoft products?

    Thank you.

    Justin

    Hello Ajwren51,

Unfortunately, there is no option to lock the desktop on the computer icons so that you will not be able to move their position. However, you have an option for icons to align icons in a particular position on the grid which will give you a possibility to save the backup.

    a. right click on a space empty on windows.

    b. click view, and then select icons to align it on the grid.

  • Safeguarding of documents on the desktop

I want to record Word or other documents such as pictures on my desk but I can't find this location option in save or save as.

To quickly access the desktop computer, click on the drop down menu left of the navigation bar (see button in red in the image below).

You can also add the desktop to your favorite folders (as I did in the screenshot below).  To do this, go to your account (in my case, "Shawn") folder and drag the desktop folder in the Favorites list.
