  I had trouble with this question, too, as I began to use iBooks author earlier. From what I've learned, the ability to offer adjustable fonts for the reader / end-user is based on the original model that we built our book on. But there is more that we have the choice in versions of model e-pub and multi-touch included those with iBA. I'm building a Multi Touch iBook which is based on the iBA model included for the landscape layout - there is no support in this one for the reader change the font. I found that for me, I had to choose between: fixed layout, content can be layout and multi-touch (exclusive iBooks). Given that the multi-touch functionality is very important for me because my iBook project a lot of nested widgets Gallery, lack of adjustable characters was acceptable (to me).

  I know there are items online somewhere at Apple, but I couldn't find them easily. I found another article that can help you:

  My iBook, author, dialog box says 'about' this is version 2.4.1.  The MAS said that the version the most recent is 2.5, but it does not show an available update.

  I have NOT upgraded yet to Sierra, so it is possible that 2.5 is available after update, but I want to assure you, that is the only question.

  SHOULD I see an update of 2.4.1 2.5 of El Capitan?

  It's an interesting question you have posted. I'm in Yosemite, and while they inspected the updates in the Mac App Store application, it offers me an update for iBA. I've been using version 2.4.1.

  For what it's worth, I do not anticipate upgrading to El Capitan and probably moved Sierra on this hard drive.

  Please let us know what you have found and how you went. I am interested in updates version for iBA.

• can you paste policies into iBooks author?

  I have a document of word processing with the text in multiple fonts in there. I would like to be able to copy/paste in iBooks author to make an epub file, but when I do, he loses the formatting of fonts. Manually change fonts after copy/paste will be extremely painful, there are many passages of different fonts in the document.

  The fonts are not unusual, they are all built-in fonts that iBooks author is able to display by default.

  I tried to export it to PDF, but the two only options that appear are ePub and the text.

  And for printing, I can't print either in format PDF printing because is not clickable.

  To do what you want, you need to create your book in one of the models not in epub category.

  You are allowed only three lines of metadata. However, you can add several fields of metadata for each line, like this:

  Well, if your 'chapter' and your 'jon doe' is in the separate text boxes, then there is no easy way to do it. (You could draw a bunch of lines dotted, which isn't difficult, but the only way to standardize manually drag the lines around).

  However, if "chapter" and "jon doe" is in the same text box, separated by a tab character, then it is quite easy. Have you used a ruler before tab? This gives a test:

  (1) type a brief sample in a text area, like the one in your post, but instead of separate columns with points, simply use a single tab

  (2) select all text

  3) go to the Type-> tabs

  (4) I hope it sounds familiar to you (probably from MS Word, or maybe using a typewriter) but otherwise,.

  (4A), click once on the sovereign to insert a tab stop

  4 (b) type a question in the area of 'leader', and

  4 c) press Tab or Enter to confirm

  FYI, it's what you want, a 'leader' or a 'leader of dot. Knowing that he has called a "Chief" will help you find it in InDesign help.

• Japanese fonts are cut by pix 2 or 3 on each text box, among other...

  I was really hoping that this issue would be resolved with Captivate 4, but no luck.  I'm working on a Japanese English PC inputing through an IME, and each unique text box has problems.  Or fonts are cut on the top by 2 or 3 pixels, otherwise they swell in somewhere between a normal font and a bold font.  Not a single text box will make what it looks like in Captivate before I saw it.  Everything looks wonderful in Captivate, but no matter how I saw or make, it's just awful.

  Any help is very appreciated!

  First of all, I assume you mean legends of text here?

  Assuming I'm reading correctly, I wonder if you tried to set the margins for the legend type you are using. For example, if you use the type of legend blue Adobe, when we look at where Captivate has been installed

  (for me on my own PC for Captivate 4, I look here):

  D:\Program Adobe Captivate 4\Gallery\Captions)

  You should see the files ending with .fcm.

  For the type of blue legend Adobe, find you five of them:

  

  If you change each and adjust the margin values. Then create a new project and use the legend type Blue Adobe. See if that makes a difference in the appearance of the font. I am not sure, it will be, but it can't hurt to try. Who knows, it may just solve the problem.

• Text box block CS3

  Hi guys
  
  Strange, one for you here... Whenever I insert a text box in the table here next to 'comments' it completely crashes DW CS3.
  I have rebuilt the page several times and it's the same thing... I Googled it and got nothing. It's really weird. The other form elements are all very well. Only the text box seems to make the damage:

  I don't expect an answer, really, I'm sure it's something from 1 million to happen, but you never know. It is 3 CS DW on Vista and been perfect so far.

• validation of maximum size on the element of text box

  I couldn't find any station associated with this type of validation. I have a text box on a form. the maximum size of the associated database column is 512 bytes. I need a sort of validation that will tell the user that the maximum size is 512. currently the text box allows the user to write as muc has he wants and throws his mistake if he spends more than 512 bytes.

• Only 1column of text in my iBook in iBooks on ios10?

  I upgraded to iOS10 and now I have only 1 column of text in my iBook.  Could not find a way to adjust the settings.

  On my iPad 9.7 "decreases the font size gave me two columns, but the police is now smaller I want.

• text box appears for the accents on letters

  I have a new iMac dating a week who continues to appear in the text box for the accents and resumes typing (slowly). Support contacted today, they don't know, reset pram or something, no change. I have to restart the iMac to clean so I can type, takes about 10 minutes.

• the pages for iOS - how to resize a text box and forms manually

  I added text boxes to my sheet. However, I can't get close to the size I want, which is not noticeable to someone else, but I wish they were accurate.

  example: I want to 1inchx4inch. but now the box and adjusting the size I can get 1.02x3.98. 99x4.01, etc.

  I know it still looks the same as the sizes are extremely close, but if there was a way t adjust by entering the desired size that I would rather do.

  If it is a file that you edit on your Mac you can certainly do here in the Inspector.

  If you are only in iOS with this you can try zooming in - you can have more control over it.
