Text on the browser to thin as follows

Hey guys, I have a user who has problems reading text when it is on its browser. the text is too small to read and seems kind of gray. A text is fine, but most are really hard to read. no idea how I could solve this problem? She works on a Latitude e5440. Thank you!

You do not specify which browser. Here are three pages of help for zoom different common browsers.

https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/font-size-and-zoom-increase-size-of-Web-pages

If none of these are your browser, Google the name of your browser and Word zoom.

  • How can we separate "Icons and text" of the browser control buttons (back, forward, etc.) since the icons on the toolbar of the add-on?

    With us, it is not a problem. I don't know why it's different here at work - even editing, same settings (as far as I know).
    Windows Vista
    Firefox 7.0.1
    Status 4 Evar installed to activate the add-on bar in a status bar

    I have a NoScript module icon in the corner, which works very well. If I add a GreaseMonkey icon in the menu customize, "Icon and the text" is displayed for this icon as the icon and text browser controls (home, stop, etc.). Other icons the module show icon and the text (S4E, for example). NoScript is the only one I've found so far that collapses down to just an icon.

    I like this leads to the bar having a higher status (add-on). Basically what I want is for only the icon is displayed in the State (toolbar Add on), while keeping icons and text in the browser controls. My current solution is simply to remove the other icons of the add-on - it from the status bar (add-on), but which removes the ease of turning on/off and setting options.

    Please tell me if I can provide you with another thing and thanks for your help.

    Edit: I have some screenshots to show what I mean.

    I tried, and while it does not remove the text, buttons retain their width, collapses don't not down icons. I was able to get exactly the effect I want to by changing the setting in the DOM, as stated in my post above, but which only lasted as long as the session and returned to the way it was before, when I restarted Firefox.

    After a few tries, I finally joined the userChrome following tweaks. This tweak sets the buttons didn't use any text, be limited to 20 pixels of width, and, if a drop-down list arrow is present, to hide that. Greasemonkey uses a drop-down list item separated so it must be hidden specifically.

    I have more than 50 cod files that are part of the JAD file. When I link the BlackBerry browser to the .jad file. The text of the jad file is displayed on the web instead of download and install cod files?

    Does anyone know why this phenomenon occurs?

    This can help:

    You must create the .htaccess file in the same directory as the .jad file and several .cod files:

    content of the .htaccess file:

    AddType text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor jad
    Jar of AddType application/java-archive

    Then put all the COD files and the file JAD that you find in the directory deliverables/Web/x.x.x on the server to the same location as the .htaccess file.

    I have a HP Envy laptop 17.3 with a touchscreen tablet, which does not allow me to scroll through, or to be used with the CTRL key to change the factor zoon inside windows (for example, a browser window).

    I went for the touchpad settings and there is really not much there. Surely, HP includes some advanced features as Synaptics and is used on laptops cheaper?

    Am I not looking in the right place? I went the the touchpad settings. Is thewre somewhere else to make changes to the settings?

  • Why the text on my browser is so small?

    I just download Mozilla Firefox on a Windows 8, but for some reason any text in the browser (NOT the actual Web page text) (I mean the menu, titles of tabs bar) is VERY small. I was wondering if there was any means possible to make bigger? I hope you understand what I'm describing. Thank you.

    You can right click a pref on the topic: config page and click Reset (the prefs indicates a value of empty string).

    This pref will be deleted the next time you start Firefox.

    I just got rid of my BB 8830 for the new "BOLD".  However, the size of the text in the browser is extremely low. If all goes well, a change will be made so I can see what is displayed in the browser.

    The bold has a much higher resolutino screen so everything will appear smaller.  However, the browser on the "BOLD" is different from the one on your 8830 and displays the best Web sites.  You can easily zoom in with the 'i' and 'o' keys

  • According to the browser font changes

    Site built must with Verdana defined as fonts throughout the site, but the police changes depending on the browser used.  Help!

    Verdana is a 'web safe '. The notion of a 'web safe' font is a bit inappropriate. A web safe font is actually a list of fonts.

    The ToolTip that appears when you hover over "Verdana" in the list of Safe Web fonts shows the policies 'rescue' or the 'font stack' associated with this web security police.

    The idea with secure web fonts must choose will use the fonts that visitors to your site can be found on the majority of computers, devices and versions of operating systems. However, without a font is on 100% of all computers and devices. When "Verdana" is not on the particular visitor's computer, or the device of the browser will be 'rescue' to Tahoma. If Tahoma is not available, it will be help in Geneva. If this is not available, it will ask the browser to select a sans serif font.

    Even if Verdana is available on the visitor's computer or device, it cannot be the same version of Verdana you use (and therefore can have measures of subtly different fonts and line breaks so different). Even if it is the same font, the layout breaks and the line of text may still vary to a browser due to the subtle differences in text layout engines in each browser. Where the font is not available at all and the browser must relief appearance to a different font, and the layout of the text will be significantly different.

    For the display of more coherent policies (although always with some variation of browser and OS operating system browser) and live text in the browser, use Web fonts. Click on the option 'Add Web fonts' in the menu fonts and add Web fonts to your menu. These fonts are automatically downloaded from Typekit to the computer or device used by a visitor to the site, so the same font is always used. (However, made and differences of line break will be produced again due to differences between the browsers and operating systems.)

    Another, although usually less desirable option is to use system fonts. When a system font is used Muse converts the text block to an image. This leads to slower page load times, but where a specific font should absolutely be used, it may be the only alternative. Muse automatically generates 'alt text' for the image so that the original text is always there for the search engines to index and screen readers to read, but the user will be unable to select or search the text on the page in the browser.

    The idea with web fonts secure is to choose fonts that are on the majority of computers, devices and versions of operating system of your site visitors should be used, but not a font is 100% of all devices. When "Verdana" is not on the particular visitor's computer, or the device of the browser will be 'rescue' to Tahoma. If Tahoma is not available, it will be help in Geneva. If this is not available, it will ask the browser to select a sans serif font.

    Even if Verdana is available on the visitor's computer or device, it cannot be the same version of the font you use (and therefore can have subtly different font metrics). Even if it's the same police, the layout of the text and line break can vary from a browser to a browser due to the subtle differences in text layout engines in each browser. Where the font is not available at all and the browser must relief appearance to a different font, and the layout of the text will be significantly different.

    Reports that produce one output other than a text (for example, HTML or PDF) file are displayed in a browser. If you set the option to profile VIEWER: TEXT to the browser, your text files are also displayed in a browser, as opposed to the report viewer. • My text Position moves according to the browser I use

    I'll have a bit of trouble getting my text remains put in different browsers. For the text on the buttons on my left, I've been putting text in an APdiv and Center the text on the button. It stays put in IE, but the APdiv moves to the top of the button (table cell) in Mozilla and downwards (table cell) button in Safari.

    I tried to use the CSS rule definition window to place the APdiv in an absolute position 'top' and I will still have the
    the same problem.

    I read the article on absolute positioning on Dreamweaver CS3 The Missing Manual but nothing I read really helped me and as I said, I already tried the absolute positioning.

    I'm new at this and the site that I'm getting is for my last class and I'm really trying to do things. I'm not good with basic coding, so, if your useful response includes code, please be very specific about the places where to place in it section of the code of the page.

    I have not yet added my site, but I have a picture of the homepage take my place. You can see here. The buttons are placed images flown in a table and the text I use in the APdiv in addition to this is not the text that appears on the buttons (had problems and decided to go simple with DWs fonts - used the set Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, without serif).

    I'm working on a PC running Windows XP Media ed. w / SP2 if that makes a difference. And I'm in DW CS3.

    Please help ASAP - the site is due Wednesday 12/12.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    The reason is the following:

    You use

    Tags to control spacing in your layout.
    You have the table that contains your 3 spaced paragraphs of rollover images
    of the top table.
    The problem is the paragraphs have different default margins in different
    browsers. That's why you have the alignment problem.
    Normally, you would use CSS to give all the

    Tags the same margin to give
    lines of text the same spacing cross browser.
    However, which won't help here because users have different text sizes
    their browsers. Different text sizes: different line height.
    In text view browsers set to "big text" your table with images
    will be a lot of space between it and the upper table. In browsers with
    small text, the table will be so much near the top table.
    Meanwhile, your PA divs will remain in the same place on the page.
    The text will be only line upo worm images for people who have their
    text exactly the same value as your size.
    That's why you shouldn't use

    Tags to control the spacing between the objects when graphically the
    objects must be in a specific location in the layout.

    The solution is to get rid of the

    Tags and CSS to give the table use
    with the reversal of the pictures in a higher margin.

    First of all, get rid of the

    tags and give a CSS class to the table below them.
    Change this:

    To do this:

    Class = "leftnav" >

    Then, set the class in your CSS. You can add it to the end, just after
    you are a: active link style:

    Change this:

    a: active {}
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    -->

    To do this:

    a: active {}
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    {.leftnav}
    margin-top: 150px;
    }
    -->

    Adjust the desired margin to align the table with images with your
    Divs PA.

    I hope this has helped.

    Take care
    Tim

  • When I type a letter (not when text entries are selected; i.e. for navigation not writing) the browser will automatically search for the letter.

    I use letter keys to navigate often, but recently everytime I try, the browser automatically will pop up 'Find in page' and look for him.

    Have you checked the setting in "Options/Preferences > advanced > general" (topic: preferences #advanced)?

    • Accessibility: "search for text when I start typing.
  • Why print preview and print lose lines of text from the image to the screen in the browser

    When I bring up (for example) a magazine article in my browser and you want to print it for future reference, print preview and printed image 'lost' lines of text between pages compared to the original image in the browser. For example: visit this link: http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Feature/408318, how-to-make-windows-admin-easy-with-powershell.aspx?eid=2 & edate = 20150828 & utm_source = 20150828 & utm_medium = newsletter & utm_campaign = weekly_newsletter & nl = weekly and select 'Print' from the menu. Print preview that appears - poster in portrait mode or landscape - loses one or two lines of text for the print version wraps useless. Where the missing text? pagination is not identical, and Firefox seems unable to handle it.

    I use a HP desktop with Intel i7 CPU 8 GB of RAM and Win 7 Pro SP1. Firefox is V40.0.3

    I do not see "imposed by the system of page breaks" encoded in this Web page. It would be difficult for an author of a Web page with an international audience.

    You use A4 paper, but what about those of us using letter-size paper? Page breaks may screw up page print to LETTER, from a Web site to THE like this.
    And what about the 'zoom' different levels? For printing which is called scale preview of Firefox and Page Setup print.
    I put systematically "modest" when printing to save paper, to keep the last page to only a few lines, or when the font size in print preview is too great (IMO) for printing on paper. And the size of police appeared to have worsened as monitor resolutions have gotten larger over the years.

    The only time wherever I lost lines of text between printed pages was when I was "pushing the limits" with the paper up and down / page margins. IOW, too small header / footer trying to get on each page as possible. By default, Firefox a. 5 "margins (left and right) with. 5 "header / footer (top and bottom margins) = letter-size paper. With 'A' type of paper using metric would be tantamount to the margins of 12.7 mm on all four sides. The /metric of inches "toggle" is with the size of the paper, the user has selected.

    Check the Page > margins & header / footer to see if you have the parameters of ~ 12mm or it they are smaller.

  • Why of opaque boxes appear in place of the entered text (Firefox ver. 34/Ubuntu 12.04) in the browser window?

    There was a similar question posted earlier, but this isn't exactly the same thing. When all 'text' has been reached and appears in the URL address box - it is characterized by rectangular, green, black, or gray boxes (instead of letters, numbers, etc.). I can always navigate normally using the browser window, the text always appears in this format "hidden". In safe mode does not change the appearance. I updated the software, Firefox, using Linux (Terminal).
    This problem is specific to Firefox only... no other browsers show this way.
    It has been a consideration for a while, now. In fact, I got to use another browser, although I have Firefox in favour (including Linux) and wish to use it.
    Thank you.

    Sorry to hear that you have been waiting so long! Could you check this thread started by another user of Linux and see if workaround it helps you on your system:
