  I have a 8310 and I wonder if someone can tell me if the function "AutoComplete" works when you send a text message?  I have a motorola razor which would suggest words while I typed, and I liked that!  I see such a feature is available on the blackberry, but for the life of me cannot figure out how to turn it on.  (I can find the function "auto text" but which works very well).  Thank you

  If I type something while making an sms, for example, year (abbreviation of your) it automatically fills the year of Word when I press space to move around. Is - this text auto? How to stop or to accept the word I put in, such as adding to the dictionary?

  Options > AutoText.

  Change the entry you like, remove or add new ones.

  How can I turn off the automatic Correction of text?

  The default keyboard in portrait mode is the SureType keyboard.  I don't think you can turn off Auto Correct on this keyboard, because it is part of the SureType system.

  If you don't want to use the QWERTY keyboard in landscape, you can switch the keyboard from portrait to the traditional "multi-tap" keyboard  To do that go to: Options > keyboard/screen.  Then adjust the setting for 'View Portrait keyboard' to 'Multitap.

  Again, you should have the 'good Auto' out as previously mentioned.

  the only way to view my texts are to find a contact I received/sent a text in the last days, click on the text then hit the blackberry and select "Show file" then select the SMS Inbox. \

  Each time a random strange behavior or slowness comes, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.

  See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I am a new user of BBerry. Receive emails in both a business and personal account, each of which has an icon on the face I can check emails. The third icon apparenlty combines all messages and this is where text messages appear.  I can't recognize when there are Messages in the mix of all the other emails.  I don't get that txt msgs of my children so don't get much, but rely on this form of communication with of.  I get a beep when the text is available, but if am not by phone of course will not hear it.  Is it possible to set up separate inbox just for text messages so that they are more easily visible.  Or is there something else I use to better sort the emails and text messages. ?  Thank you!

  In order to separate the text messages from the Messages folder, you need to have OS 4.2.1 or higher installed on the BlackBerry. You can determine the operating system by going to help > topic.

  Once you have an operating system installed, you can separate text Messages by going to Messages > Options > General Options and set the SMS and email separate inboxes.

  You will have two Options to choose from, you must use 'Specified the cases' instead of 'Smartcase '.

  I accidentally sent a text to most of my contacts, I quickly removed the battery and the sim. Then I replaced the battery on and checked my messages. The message appears with a large X sense not sent but I'm worried as soon as I replace the sim card and turn it on the message will always send, becuse that a lot of the ppl on the list are abroad and willl cost me much that my contract does not cover overseas texts. Should I delete the message before you replace the sim card, or is there something else I could do? Any help would be greatly appreciated

  Thanks, I tried that now, but unfortunately it did not work. Although I found a solution to this problem by wiping my blackberry which was an inconvenience, but as I regularly back up my blackberry on my computer everything I had to do was transfers back everywhere. However, I would add for those who have a similar problem to really take into account before you do if you do not have your blackberry backup because EVERYTHING is erased and it would probably be a real problem to configure everything again.

  I think you can try two things: the soft reboot, and if it does not, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can not lose data with these two reboots.

  Soft reboot:
  1) struck the following three keys at the same time:
  -Alt
  -Right shift
  -Remove
  (2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.

  Hard reboot:
  (1) your BlackBerry smart phone is on
  (2) remove the battery and wait a minute
  (3) replace the battery
  (4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

  A simple requirement: I want to be able to create a text file on my computer, transfer it to my BlackBerry, then search it later (for example the list of movies, I have "Sahara"?).

  Firstly I find word go does not work, I can't create a folder on the BlackBerry. I need an update for $50, after paying $600 for the BlackBerry.

  I can't find any instructions on how to create the files and transfer them. The Manual deals with music and photos. Is it just a toy?

  I finally have a working system.  I went on the site downloaded and DataViz Documents to go Premium, but there is an easier way. If you open Word to go and select the menu there is an option to try Premium for a few weeks, it would have been nice to know that. I had all sorts of problems trying to activate after purchase. A lot of the instructions are confusing and the activation key does not work. Obviously the key doesn't care if zeros or SST (number or letter) is used.  The problem has proved that for some reason, I got the Documents go version 1, but the error message was a bad key.

  I then re - download Documents to go Premium 2, PDF to go and Documents to files (so much for synchronization with your computer).  This time, he seemed to turn on. The key was maybe still in memory somewhere. The PDF to go icon does not appear, and was in the download section and I moved it to the Applications.

  I printed the Documents go manual but had to write in page numbers, because they are not numbered which makes the index type of unusable.

  I also printed user guide BlackBerry 9700 (323 pages) but have not found that it is as useful as I had hoped.

  I installed the Desktop Manager and the Documents to go Desktop on my computer and have backed up the BlackBerry, the copied files and photos throughout and have synced files.

  On my computer, in a list of words in my films, I added bookmarks to movies beginning with A, B... to XYZ. which makes them easy to move on. There are also shortcuts in the manual to skip pages and research (or was it find?) function in the menu. Now I can find any movie in the list easily.

  It is possible to use the BlackBerry as a PDA, but you won't find much help in the manual.
