• CP8 Skin Editor will allow me to have a button "play"

  I can't understand what I did, but the skin editor won't give me the choice of game, rewind, forward, backward or the progress bar. It's my first presentation that includes a lot of videos. • Skin Editor, button problem

  In a project that I have, there is a problem, if I go to skin editor and try to change the playback bar most of the buttons is not possible to activate. Why?

  In my other project, its possible to check which buttons I want in my PlayBar.

  Can you please check if you have no pre-test questionnaire slides in your project?

  If yes then, by default, it allows branch Option that supports, and in this case the PlayBar buttons are disabled. If you want to appear the PlayBar buttons, you must remove Slides from questionnaire pre-test or uncheck the branch supported by going to Edit > Preferences > Quiz > settings.

• How to custom skin version (SVN), independent skin Editor?

  I use Jdev 11.1.1.6 to my application development.
  
  I created a custom skin (extension existing fusionFx) using Oracle ADF Stand alone skin Editor. I have deployed the skin at the ADF jar file and used in my project and works very well.
  Now, how can I put this skin svn? I couldn't find extension versioning svn for autonomous skin Editor. Is it supported?
  
  My 11.1.1.6 Jdev has extn installed svn but I can't open this project of skin it as it tries to migrate.
  What are my options? I have to install Jdev 11 GR 2 for this?

  I do not have the skin editor stand alone installed, so I can not check the option svn...
  Make a copy of the project, and then open it in 11.1.1.6 and let jdev trying to migrate it. Then close jdev and open the project in the skin Editor. If it still works well, then the migration is not corrupt the project and you can use 11.1.1.6 to check it into svn.

  also use any other svn tool to check your project in svn. However, jdev will not recognize that the project, it is under the control of svn.

• Problem with the skin Editor

  I'm not able to see the options available in the skin Editor. All are disabled. Using Captivate 6. Help, please.

  Subtitles are always above the playback bar

  If you want to CC more close the PlayBar, check its settings: default = 3 lines. It's the bottom which is closest to the playback bar line.

• Captivate 5.5 skin editor does not open

  I work in Captivate 5.5, and the skin editor will not open, on the Project menu, or with SHIFT + F11. Any idea of what is causing that? Is there another way to move to the skin Editor, such as publish dialog box? I couldn't find another way.

  Hi Stuart

  At any point did you have a second monitor attached? If so, it is quite possible that the dialog box is opened indeed, but last opening on the second monitor. In this case, you will need to make your resolution large enough so that you see sitting in the odd location dialog box or re - connect the second monitor so that you can then view the dialog box and drag it to the visible area of the screen.

• 11.1.2 autonomous skin editor does not start

  I have just downloaded skineditor 11.1.2.0 on 64 - bit Windows 7 system to test with 11.1.1.4 skins.
  The JDK path is Jdeveloper 11.1.2 I installed too.
  
  When I start the skineditor then I see the splash screen for a short time and after that nothing happens.
  I can see skineditor.exe in the Manager of tasks (as a process), but no place on demand.

  Hello

  the problem is "skineditor_11_1_2_0_0". I did the same thing today and acknowledged the skin editor don't like underscores in its immediate parent directory. For example, if you use

  oracle\skineditor_11_1_2_0_0\SkinEditor

  then things work very well.

  John, I think that Peter and I are just too organized as to install software without the version number in the folder names

  I posted this in response to the following discussion: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/603151 but think it deserves its own post, because it was not solved by the solution presented.

  My company is running Internet Explorer 7 as its browser default and recently installed frame chrome. I was editing a robohelp project this week and met the following error message when I open the skin Editor:

  

  When I opened the published webhelp, I had the same problems described elsewhere in the forums with the table of contents and search does not. I edited the whver.js file using the specifications indicated by piersh in the discussion above without success.

  Additional information:

  • I use RoboHelp 8
  • Functuonality is very well when tested in Firefox
  • Published and on-site testing
  • Tested from two additional computers to a shared network drive

  mbrouill, you did the changes in the file whver.js in your program files or the WebHelp output folder? I found that the error in the WebHelp skin Editor dialog box has disappeared when I changed the file whver.js in C:\Program Files\Adobe\RoboHelp 8\RoboHTML\WebHelp5Ext\template_stock\ (see response of m_d_uk2 to http://forums.adobe.com/message/3715435#3715435#3715435). If you edit the file in the Program Files folder, the file whver.js in the WebHelp folder updates automatically whenever you rebuild assistance.

• Skin editor - crashes

  Entered the skin Editor to change playback control. Drop-down menu worked to show the playback controls, but cannot close the window.
  Freezes the Captivate and must use Task Manager to shut down and restart. Re-installed Captivate 2, but no change.
  
  Anyone know what I could do wrong?

• URGENT: Version of the editor Jdev skin for skin of Skyros editing

  What version of the skin jdev editor I use for skin of Skyros edition (available at 11.1.1.7).

  The skin editor that will support Skyros is expected to ship with JDeveloper 12 c.
  For now, you'll need to encode the skin it manually.

• Skin in Captivate 8 Editor

  When you export a captivate like HTML5 project, we have the PlayBar not included in the skin. During the reading of the draft, the buttons are divided on the bottom of the window.

  When you view a swf output skin buttons display correctly. Yet once again, we do not include the PlayBar in the configuration of our skin.

  Anyone know why the buttons are spread over the release of HTML5?

• Where can I find a list of accepted by the editor ExtendScript JavaScript operators

  As a JavaScript Newbie (but not a beginner programmer!) I find it difficult to know which JavaScript operators are accepted by ther ExtendScript Editor. I have the latest version of Pocket reference JavaScript of David Flanagan (I never look in the browser of reference part), but often I find a useful command that is not accepted by the Publisher. The lack of a proper reference me slows down considerably upward.

  Just to put a tidy end to the discussion after more thought:

  Use latest JavaScript reference - if operator is valid, ExtendScript editor will turn the blue Word, otherwise the operator is invalid or skinned - editor will also stop when it reaches an invalid operator.
