That what I lose by uninstalling Silverlight? It crashes Chrome

Whenever I try to use Hotmail on Google Chrome, silverlight blocks the session.  Never had a problem until the last MS update.  Is there an another SW which replaces the functionality of Silverlight (without blocking it-please)?

See my answer to your second post (which marked you as ANSWER): http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_update/can-i-use-chrome-to-browse-on-vista-after-ms/719f52fe-67ad-4676-a5e3-5d8461fab87b

1. reaffirm Internet Explorer as the browser in the default CUSTOM (<>) article in Set Program Access and Computer Defaults & reboot.

2. open Internet Explorer (only!) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310049 [ignore the title, etc.] & run the difficulty.

3. open Internet Explorer (only!) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 [ignore all warnings NOT RECOMMENDED] & run the difficulty.

4 restart once again & test.

Like most Microsoft applications, you'll find that Hotmail, Windows Live Essentials (which depend on the Silverlight) & Outlook (if you access a Hotmail account in it) will be 'happy' if IE is the default browser.

You will find support for Windows Live Hotmail in these forums: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/hotmail

  • How to uninstall Silverlight and Nero 9 on my computer?

Why can't I uninstall both programs in my control panel, i.e. to the programs ' Add/REMOVE '. One is the Microsoft Silverlight, and the other is NERO 9 Essentials.  When I click on remove in the Silverlight program, it displays a message on the screen to constantly check certain kinds of "PATCH" program which I have no idea what it is. This Patch verification, I'm sure that does not allow the program to delete, on Nero 9 Essentials is also absolutely nothing when I click on remove other than some of the highlights of the program only. Simply, he is sitting there, highlighted and does nothing, period! I don't want, or use one of these two programs, is why I want that they uninstalled.

Any help or suggestions to get rid of these two programs, would be much appreciated.

get installed it, and you are well.

  • I recently installed Microsoft 2010. When I go in there, it will not work & continues to send me a message saying that I might have to uninstall & reinstall because of problems encounterd with the license. Why?

I installed Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 on my computer Toshiba with Microsoft Windows and the first time I did it it went well through and Microsoft Click & Run and 2010 have been in my programs, but when I went to use my Windows program it came with a messeage of error that says:

"Auto Correct File\MSO 1033.Add, could not be saved. The file may be read-only or may not be allowed to edit the file.    Then there is a box to check (OK) so I checked the box (OK) to see what happens & it looks like you're actually in Microsoft Office 2010, but once you go there comes another error message saying this:

"Microsoft Office has encountered problems with the license and may have to close. If the problem persists, uninstall & reinstall your product.  Then, there is another box to check (OK) so I clicked on the box and then it stops and goes completely and so if you repeat this process did the same thing again and again.

So I uinstalled just as he said and I've now done four times and still I get the same thing again and again. I also have can not uninstall Microsoft Click & Run when I try to uninstall it from my programs, it says contact Mircrosoft that I am unable to uninstall the package of Microsofts.  I'm the administrator of this computer and thought, I could uninstall and reinstall anything?

Can someone figure this or help me?

  • Windows Installer issues-unable to uninstall silverlight

I'm trying to stream video to my PC via Netflix, I get an error code: N8156-6013. I searched Google and found that other users had received the same error code after updating to the current version of Silverlight. Other users have solved the problem by uninstalling the current version of Silverlight and then installation of version 3.

When I try to uninstall Silverlight via the Control Panel, I get this error:

The feature you are trying to use is on a network unavailable resource.

    Use source:

    c:\802916df17399c5251\

I suspect that there is a problem with windows install, but I don't know and I don't know how to proceed.

Allows to use the third-party software uninstall program Revo uninstaller for Silverlight to uninstall and reinstall the latest version.

Download revo from the link below

It doesn't look like a problem with Windows install.
