The application icon to convert MIDLet

Hello

looks like simple delivers, but might well not the answer.

Here's the deal.

1. building J2ME app (on NetBeans) - JAR/JAD files.

2. create JDE project based on these files.

3. Add the PNG (48 x 48) file to the project in the Application icon.

4 start application on the Simulator, but the icon by default one.

No reason why?

BTW, app works OK, just the wrong icon.

Thank you.

OK, the question is closed, the solution has already been spoken on this forum.

Just fill most important:

1 icon file must be in the same folder with the file of the Cod .

2. Add manually the name of the icon to the JAD file as:

MIDlet-1: myApp, myIcon.png, myApp

I checked the Firefox already in my Applications folder and it is without a doubt 3.6.16, I hesitate to go ahead with the replacement until I know why I get this (apparently) wrong message. Can you help me?

Yes, Firefox 4.0 is a more advanced than 3.6.16 version.

Mozilla made the updates of security for older versions of long after a new version of Firefox is available. 3.5.18 Firefox came out at the same time that 3.6.16, and both are scheduled for another update daily now.

Best practice: design of icons and indicators for the BlackBerry 6 theme

    • Create icons that are compatible with the default icons in the size, the weight and balance.
    • Create 32-bit .png files.
    • In the toolbars and context menus, create icons with an average size of 33 by 33 pixels. These icons appear on a canvas 60-by-40 pixels and must have a negative space.
    • The application icons, create an icon file that does not exceed 68-by-68 pixels. This size includes the canvas. Keep the weight of the icons within a space of 49-by-49 pixels. Smaller items can extend beyond this size, but the icons should not exceed 55-by-55 pixels. If the icon specified in the Web exceeds this size, it could be scaled down and upset the thicknesses and the slopes.

  • 3 seconds delay after the application icon was clicked...

I can't understand the following situation:

When I I click on my blackberry application icon (in the Simulator), the application is fast, no problem. However, when I take that same code and place it on my blackberry, there are a few seconds of waiting time after that the icon has been clicked.

can someone tell me how to reduce the delay? the first screen is nothing else than an image within an image field. I wanted to create a "splash" screen and I just show you a simple picture.

After I click on the icon of the application (on my phone), I notice that there is activity because you see the arrows at the top right moving. but the user regular to non-techie, they do not know that the application has been started and they will just keep clicking on the icon over and over again.

again, I click on the application icon and there are about 3 seconds just to show the image contained in the file of the project. If we're not going get the image from a remote site.

the Simulator shows the quick image, but the phone creates a delay. any ideas how to minimize the delay on the application icon, click on?

    Thank you.

I thought about it. I just moved the instantiation and several objects of a different class loading and later called these lines of code with an invokeLater method. My first screen contains only the image itself and the other class the rest of the code.

  • The application icon does not

The application icon does not appear on the home screen.  I managed to deploy to using javaloader and Office Manager because it comes in Options-> advanced-> Applications, and I am able to uninstall it via Desktop Manager. It is only fair that the icon does not appear.

If it's important, I'm using controlled BlackBerry API.  I received and installed the keys with success.

    Any ideas?

Edit: I use the Eclipse Plugin Windows XP, OS 4.5

I don't know what the problem was, but I solved it.  I just created a new project of BB starting from zero and copy and pasted my code and rebuilt.  Works fine now.

  • Effect on the application icon

Creating a folio in the DPS App builtr, you can select the option Enable glow effect on the application icon,

So there is an effect of 'Shine' on the icon.

But I can see the effect that at the time wherever I placed my .ipa on my iPad.

I would be nice to have a glimpse into a previous state.

Maybe in the DPS App builtr.

Or it is a templete with brightness effect, so I can see (in Photoshop)

    What will be the result?

    Hi Aad,

Thanks for the suggestion. I agree it would be cool, but we are unlikely to implement given the charge to add it.

  • See that shadow the application icon

I don't see the icon of the application? That's what I do in the file blackberry - tablet.xml:

        closeIcon.png

The image file is also under the project tree src and bin-debug directory. Now when I debug using Burrito, I see only a shadow of the icon, not the icon. If I delete the name of the file above to blackberry - tablet.xml, then I see a blackberry icon.

My size is 72 by 72. When I add to myapp.xml it gives missing package error.

    Any help is appreciated.

When he started for the first time and in the doc, is it possible to drag and drop the icon into the applications folder? And what does it remain?

It is possible that the default installation folder has been moved. However it would have been necessary to be changed. Have you downloaded from: *https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
