Original title: bad image.
I get two errors of bad image whenever I open a program or start a computer, for each program. the error that says "the application or DLL is not a valid windows image. "Please check this against your installation diskette" I don't have any disk and don't know what to do.
These file names, look a little suspicious and didn't get good Google search results, so I think that the first thing to do is to tell us a little about your system. Now you can enjoy when you report a problem, provide you with any error messages you see and not a part of it (not paraphrase either).
The second thing to do is to try to be reasonably sure that your system is free of malware and then if you have these problems, you can fix them (which would be the third thing to do).
I still wonder why the Microsoft Support Engineer made you reference to an article that makes no sense at all...
The first thing to do:
Unfortunately, MS Answers forums does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, so we don't know anything on your system.
Because the Microsoft Answers forum does not ask for any type of information system when a new question is asked so we don't know anything about your system. Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.
Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.
Provide information on your system, the better you can:
What is your system brand and model?
Your system have IDE or SATA disks?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..
The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)
The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?
You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?
The second thing to do:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/They can be uninstalled later if you wish. The third thing to do:Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.

At the opening of Windows Live Mail, I get an error message "Windows Live Mail has stopped working" a second error message then cuts in "a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is not available"Unfortunately Windows does not close the program after waiting for an hour. I managed to twice using the system restore, but that failed even now to solve the problem. I am now resorting to Webmail using the messaging system.

Thank you zig - zag, I got the answer of Winston in the newsgroup Microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop Seems, the problem was newsgroup instead of mail. Its solution "right click on say, news.eteral - News September." Click on 'Properties' in the 'General' tab, make sure that the checkbox "include this account when checking for new messages" remains... not controlled.

Windows 7 - Windows Live Mail Error Message
When I click on a link in my email, I get this message.
"This file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an associates in the default programs control panel. »
I put the default to open files for Internet Explorer .url and that did not work.
I use windows live mail on Windows 7.
Help, please.
Thank you

If the links do not open a browser window to the referenced page, then this is the browser's file/protocol associations that are confused. I suggest you follow these steps to (re) - make Internet Explorer as default browser:- The default type in the start search box, and select default programs results.
- Select set your default programs.
- In the left pane, select Internet Explorer.
- At the foot of the page, click set this program as default.
- Click OK.
- Select to set the default settings for the access and the computer program.
- Select custom , and then click the chevrons pointing to extend the selection.
- Under choose a default browser, select Internet Explorer.
- For other browsers you use, select enable access to this program .
- Click OK, and then restart the computer.
Now try to click a link in an e-mail. If it still does not work, please describe in detail what is happening, including the full text of the error message. -

The message in a box, said "X there was a problem sending the command to the program" and when I click on OK, a topic Internet Explorer appears with the 'connection' tab and the rest of the page is blank. The page does not load. Can anyone suggest a solution?
Thank you
ronswoldHi mate
If you search for this error message (there was a problem sending the command to the program) on google page then you will get many visits.
Seems that you are not the only person who gets the error message, but this has nothing to do with your Toshiba laptop with the Windows operating system. In most cases a firewall causes this problem maybe you have installed Zonealarm or something like that
Check this box and remove or disable the settings that could prevent loading software. -

Vista window Mail & Windows Live Mail both give me the same error:
Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.
Subject ' test... remove this (way join; 350ko)'
Server: 'smtp.fuse.net '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25Secure (SSL): No.
Socket error: 10053If the mail is just text, it passes generally through. A small accessory (60KO ' ish) sometimes sends. A greater attachment always generates the error message
I disabled the scan to email from my AV, both for incoming & outgoing messages. It is AVG Free Edition, Ver.8.0.169.
My ISP tech support says that my setup is correct; that the problem must be a bug in my email client... "call", they say... It was at their suggestion I went from WM to WLM. The problems all seem to have begun when the IAF spent my connection DSL of the CAPM method (using a Cisco 675 modem) mode DMT (with a Westell 6100 modem). (does anyone know what I just said, there?...) I don't have!)
.. .anybody have ideas? I am open to any suggestions at this point.

So Windows XP you pretty much has the same result as Vista, regarding the sending of attachments. To exclude the server as being the cause of the problem, you should try another server. Get a free account with Gmail, which will allow
you try their server smtp.gmail.com.
