the body of the text on my site shows as white on firefox, it is fine on IE and Safari... What's the problem?

I have two sites that I updated it via dreamweaver. I didn't do any modification to one and all of a sudden I can't display the body text on one of the sites on Firefox, it should be blue and it come as white. The rest of the site is visible, including the text in the toolbars and hyperlinks. I can see on Safari and IE... any clues as to what could be wrong. My other site is not performed.

You are missing a pound sign in your hex code of the color.

. Body {}

do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without serif.

do-size: 12px;

color: #002e54;

    The specified 12px font size seems not to be very large, so maybe this will increase a little in case a small font is used by Firefox.

    font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;

    What the police use Firefox on the page?

    You just right-click and select "Inspect element" to open the Inspector (Firefox/tools > Web Developer) with the selected item.
    You can check the font used for the text selected in the tab fonts in the right pane of the Inspector.

    Just so you can check that you are not the page zoom.
    Reset the zoom of page on pages that are causing problems.

    • View > Zoom > reset (Command + 0 (zero))
  • Table structured site showing all white in the preview.

    Hey everybody,
    I'm relatively new to DW so this question may have an easy solution, but for the life of me I can't understand it.
    I did design a site in photoshop, follow the instructions for creating slices, to save for web, etc.
    I then opened and created the correct table structure in a new html document. I then placed the coordination background images in each of the tables. Everything is great in dreamweaver! Here is my problem... when I go to preview the site in my browser (as I do with all the other sites I've done) all I see is white. It seems as if there is a default layer of white covering the whole page, even though I tried many variants with and without a background image 'page properties '. Anyone have any ideas as to what is happening? Thank you!

    you use relative paths from the root of the site.

    Background="/images/topmenu_space_1.jpg

    the image is not downloaded and won't be where you thought it was
    even if it has been loaded.

    In the dw preferences - > Preview in the browser allow using temporary files for F12.

    Understand the paths.

  • My images of my self created site do not appear in firefox, they are on my computer and I do not use backslashes

    I created a html-website, which includes pictures. They appear in all browsers except Firefox. Because it's my favorite browser, I would like an answer how I can solve this problem, thank you!
    P.S. I do not use backslashes

    You can use the Media to the Page Info dialog box tab to see if Firefox blocks the images on your page. Open the dialog box by using either:

    • Right click on the page > View Page Info > media
    • Menu Tools > Page Info > media

    Firefox will display a list of images and other media, and you can click on the first point, then the arrow down a both and look for a check mark in the box "Block Images" above the preview area.

    Since the purchase of new computer am forced to use internet explore as Firefox is causing text on many sites to see in yellow. Some sites have only a few lines that appear in yellow and the other like craigslist are 80 to 90% of yellow text. I can't read this text at all.

    You can find the installation path of the plugins on the topic: plugins page.

  • Text is not sitting on the baseline grid

    Hi people

    Could understand you; What am I leaving? Now, one day what is happing to me that had never happened. I use Indesign CS2 windows, my font of text of Basel's Minon 9.3/10.5 snap to grid, but my text is not sitting on the baseline path, while the unit increment grid is 10.5 pt. For your reference, please find the attachment

    Thanks in advance

    I suggest you open the "original title" rather than "normal" or "copy" model so that you change the model itself for the future. Edit > Preferences... > grids and reset the grid first to 10.6 points, then back to 10.5 points and save the model again.

    Now, open to a new document 'Untititled' and see if it behaves normally. If so, the model is fixed and should be good in the future.

    Open any doc work currently on and do the same thing with the grid. and save again.

  • Flight hover text on my site by default, ignoring my HTML mouseover. Two different hosts show the same bug. (Chrome showed same on one host.)

    My hover/mouseover stylesheet correctly texts show when < my custom > .css is local disk (offline), but when online, a default value "CTRL + R improves the quality of this image...". "watch instead, presumably from the browser. Sometimes a test shows my stationary custom text on the FIRST event mousover ONLY, then the default value is used.

          This behavior showed also on Crome before I banished it. (Chrome's default text was identical) Support at my usual webhost has been looking at the problem for two weeks without result. Today I loaded the same code to a different host organization (under http://waggledance.us) and I'm seeing the same default behavior, including an occurrence of the "first time okay" observation.
          I note there is a default "Main.css" on that second server, which makes me ask whether a default .css is getting slammed on my user after <my-custom>.css serves (on both hosts??).

    This isn't a problem on your web server, it is almost certainly a feature of your internet service. Please see this recent thread for a few possible approaches: How can I get rid of the tooltip improve boring Images? Can solve you?

  • texts of the shows as white in DW, but black by default when it is online

    Hey everybody.

    So when I code my text and change the color of white, it still works when I see it in my browser by clicking f11.

    For info n ° 1 you have tags before your statement of type of document (on the first line of HTML code).  It is to send your markup in Quirks Mode on some browsers.  Better to remove them.

    FYI #2: it is better to delete the Workspaces folder & file names.

    You can safely use underscores (filename) or hyphens (filename) but no spaces or other special characters.

  • Site showing the raw Code only

    Hi people,

    I am completely at a loss, and I hope someone can help me understand what is wrong.

    One of my clients had me add a page on its site; I built the DW models and it will update the site as needed. I added the requested directory and the file index.php, updated model main and backup/update to expel updates. I presented a preview (command + F12) changes and everything looked good on my localhost, so I synced downloaded files using DreamWeaver CS3.

    Now, on its server (using GoDaddy) the site shows nothing but the text: stjamesorthodoxchurch.org. Using Web Inspector in Safari, is the tree that I see:

    < html >
    < body >
    < style PRE = "dressing: break-word;" white-space: pre wrap. ">
    <! DOCTYPE html... >

    Whence this < PRE >? I decided to download the entire website on a server where I have other customer for comparison sites: http://stjamesorthodoxchurch.org.s13461.gridserver.com/. Everything looks and works very well. The Safari Web Inspector now takes me straight to my <! DOCTYPE html... >.

    My client is a little unfortunate, and many that I have him offered the site to my server instead of the GoDaddy server it is tough enough to stay with GoDaddy. He contacted GoDaddy and they said: 'we don't play with the code of others. I'm sorry. »

    I guess my question is, what exactly is my problem?

    Is - this code?
    What is the server?
    Whence this company PRE?
    How should I do?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. As I said, I am quite at a loss!

    The page is served with the wrong mime type ("text/plain" instead of)
    "text/html").

    What is the file name for this file?

    In any case, it is certainly a problem of GoDaddy - contact them and ask them to
    check the mime for this file type.

    I just uploaded a new site to an existing via filezilla domain. It worked great and my site is up, but I have a problem that does not show when he would be seen in the fake browser Adobe Catalyst. I have a logo in the left corner of the page master. In Muse, he shows that he is in the right place, and when I go to preview, is also in the right place. When I went to live with my Web site, it shows that the logo is off, to the left and not at all in the right place. Any ideas on what I can do to move this and stay in the right place. Everything I have on the master page is prominently in the live version.

    Probably, you have a box or empty text box somewhere see this thread for the fix: Bug Muse | Graphics shift randomly, why?
