The call of the façade of a sub.vi

Is it possible to call the façade of a sub.vi so that as soon as the sub.vi starts executing, its façade is displayed?

So, I found my own way to call the façade by accident.

Right-click on the icon of the sub.vi on the block diagram

Click the Subvi node installation

Check the box that says "see the front when it is called.

(and also the box saying close later while initially closed if you wish)

You can use a panel of sup object to incorporate the façade of an another VI in your vi.

Theres a small example for you get started.

I'm not sure I understand. You use the Front Panel method: Get Image? That returns image data, and you can wire that directly to the functions of three graphics (BMP, JPG or PNG). With respect to the PDF, you must have installed a PDF printer driver. Search the Forum, as has been requested before many times, and various programs have been suggested.

  • How run a background app to LV, but retain the ability to shoot to the top of the façade?

I'm trying to run an application that I wrote in the background on Windows computers I own, but I don't want people using these computers (friends + parents) notice or disrupting the application. However, I don't want that just run seamlessly (property node); I want to be able to call to the top of the front face, when I need to. A perfect example would be to minimize it to the system tray, with options to right click for the loading of the façade.

There is an example of it being made here, but it's more than four years, so I don't know if there is a newer, better practice to follow.

I use the full version of DASYLab 8.0, how to add PID module in the design of the façade (window layout)? while I can vary the p, i, d values in the window layout

To do that you will need to change the varibles PID values and then use the sliders to add numbers to a latch for variables that point.

This is how I think it works in Version 8.

In all cases, you should move on to 12 more stable summer.

In addition, unless that is a very slow process, I generally do not like closed loop PID with DASYLab due to the fact that computers is not reliable with timing.

  • How to set the position and size of the façade using the FPRunTimePosRunCustom method in a c# application?

How to set the position and size of the façade using the FPRunTimePosRunCustom method in a c# application?

I found a solution! -Set the size and position of the façade with the help of the

File > VI properties > window running Position (in category list) > custom (in position of menu drop-down).

then just accept the current position and size (leave the boxes checked) or set values you want directly (uncheck the boxes and fill in the numbers), or physically position and size the façade and use, the "set to current location" button and press "set size" current All that is easier for you.

OK so it does not make use of the method VI Methods (Active X) FPRunTimePosRunCustom ([Position], [Size]) but if labview want to make him difficult to use then other means must be found.

  • Get the position of the control in the window of the façade

    Hello

I have the window façade divided with dispatchers on several components. On a glass, I have a button (and an overlay window) I want to move programmatically at run time. I would like to get the position of the button according to the coordinate system of façade, but to my knowledge, no such property exists. I know that I can calculate the position if I calculate the position of each knife (or component) that is between the origin of the façade and the button, but it takes a lot of time if you have many such cases.

    Any ideas are appreciated.

  • How do I move the control of hypertrend OR the façade of Labview

    Hello world

Please, I would like to know if the control hypertrend OR the palette of the DSC can be move in the whole of the façade and how.

Once I put this control on the front panel, it just stays where I put and not allow me to move it.

I'd appreciate any suggestion on this.

    Thank you.

Left click in the top left of this > hold down and drag a box around it. It selects, and you can drag. It works for me.

  • NEED HELP FAST - façade freezes when I run my program. I have all the events to the interaction of the façade. I don't have a chance to launch an event that I can't even click on anything whatsoever on the front panel?

    All,

I'm pragmatic disabling most of the façade with a particular event. This freeze happened when I launched this event and then stopped the program in the middle of the event. While the program has been frozen at all times no matter how many times I turned on my computer and turned off and restarted labview. I tried with pragmatism, allowing some of these objects on the front façade of the loop of events without result. What else could it be? When I select the program stops at the structure of the event and is waiting for him. When I have a finite number of thread for the time terminal timeout the timeout event runs and then waits for the structure of the event and I'm still not allowed to do anything.

    Aaron

    Yenkip,

OK, the moral of the story when programmatically disabling an object to front panel make sure you have the code that allows very early in the program, changing constantly in the middle of the program changes its active status. I tried enabling some of these objects, but not all. When I tried allowing each of them, I realized that everything in the deactivation of the tab control tab control disables not only the ability to change the tab control. IT WASN'T THE STRUCTURE OF THE EVENT. The guys help OR on the phone told me that the structure of the event was obviously the question. I'm fine now.

    Thank you

  • Move the controls the façade of a VI. How do you get a reference to a whole "grouped" controls?

Fundamental problem (boring, if not disastrous - but common - at least for me):

When you try to two sktick different screws together and you copy the block diagram from one to the other, it sticks all the controls in the middle of nowhere.  Then, you will need to spend about 10 minutes by dragging controls to the screen from one end of the diagram to another - sometimes more than 15 screens.  Surely, there must be a better way?

    * Either by the way, you might think that labview would have this kind of parameters in the 'properties' of the control in the right click menu - but not joy.

I guess the obvious thing is that you can write a VI that will get a reference to a particular control, then say together, that is the position (x, y) to zero.  The only thing is that generally, there will be a selection of controls, and often they will be organized nicely - after bring them to zero that you don't want to rearrange their new.  I tried grouping, controls, but then the problem is - how to get a reference to a group of controls.  If you move one of them it does not keep the spatial arrangement.  At this point, I lost - and easily spent more time that should fix this problem.

    Any thoughts?

If I understand you correctly, when you copy the block diagram of the second VI in the first, the controls of the second end of VI place far-field on the left on the front panel of the first, correct?  I think that these added controls will maintain their relative positions between them so you should be able to find them all as a group in the left field. Then it's all just a matter of how to get them enmasse to the rest of the controls on the front panel. There are some easy ways to do this. There is a button on the toolbar at the top of the front window that allows objects to resupply/group/dissociate the façade. You can select all the orders/lights out in left field and ' ' together them. (As an alternative, you can also drop them all on a tab control that will serve as a container for them). Then you select this group and with selected scroll back on to the existing façade and search and select (shift) ALSO a control/indicator to group existing too. Then with the TWO existing of the selected control and the new group (or a tab with the new group control) selected using the ALIGN buttons to quickly bring a corner of the new group in the alignment of the old control. At this point, you can unlink the news and move it where it should be.

  • Do you know how to create the façade as a backdrop

Do you know how to create the façade as the Web, I mean like we did the word and click on it will be rather another process by clicking on the button.

If possible, I can click on the link in the table... No idea no matter who

In my view, that the user questioned a hyperlink control. See, for example: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/NI-Example-Finder-Like/m-p/1023011#M455994

You could probably do this in an XControl.

  • can I change the deal out of the façade structure?

    Hello

I'm building a VI with a business structure where the cases are selected by entering an integer for the selector of the case.  Cases are selected according to the range of the whole value, for example to run the first case, if the value is in the case of 5.10 and on the other hand, if the value in 11.15 etc.  Is there a way to wire a control out of the façade to the structure of the case so that I don't have to go to the block diagram to adjust these values while I do my device development?

    Thank you

    Dave

You have a system determined. To exactly set one of the three States, only two Boolean values are needed.

Test too low and too high and if both are false, we are automatically in a fan, right?

    Here's what you could do.

  • How to adjust the placement of the façade of a under VI secondary school

OK, so I learned how to use the tabs and how to set of Sub VI in the tabs. Finally, I would like to change the position of the front of some of these sub VI

because they are not laid out for my taste
What is the way to go?
    Thank you!

by default, a VI loaded in a secondary will appear with the same position of FP only when you saved it last.  It is not often you want, and it's easy to move the public Service inside the window and forget that you change it.  But it should be good enough to go.

a trick I use is to load the Subvi in the secondary with the same origin in each.  If the façade both the part he is in have their own contact information.  For the pane (which is normally the limit of the window, and this is the secondary limit) is the origin 0,0 in the upper left corner.  On the façade, are looking for a small point with the visible grid.  It is (0,0) on the PC.

So what we can do programmatically is to use nodes property to set the origin of part of the façade:

    (LV2009f2)

OK, so the food extract my constant, but there should be two 0 (I32) in this cluster.  Simply create a constant on the original property, and it will.
