The column justification for extending on paragraphs

I'm all new to InDesign. I have a lot of experience with Framemaker and need to accomplish something that was routine with this product.

First off the coast, due to the constant changes and updates, the length of the book and the accidental movement of images (even by House ID, we work with), individually adjust frames is disabled (text framework layers are locked, but the selection of locked objects is enabled, and text editing can work).

We are producing technical manuals for a long time and need to leave the outside edge of the page (in front of the binding) for the most part clear. This will be used for the user and notes of the author, as well as side bars. The ones I know, I can do those with anchored frames.

Often, we also have paragraphs span in this space in order to preserve line breaks necessary without unreadably small text. We will have to do the same thing with the tables. How it accomplishes this in InDesign? The obvious way to do it would be to use three columns and define paragraph styles more to expand on two of them. How do we specify that if all columns can be used for the flow of text (due to covering), only the deepest columns should be used (justification of text in columns must remain as-is).

I can force executed outside an image of the text?

If these can be made, anchored frames can be used online? How do ensure you accurate spacing between paragraphs in and out of the frame and how do you do these frameworks break properly on multiple pages?

Is there another workaround solution? A seller of plug-in?

Thank you

Jeremy

The alignment of the tables is defined by the paragraph in which it resides. So, put the paragraph containing align towards spine or spinal column, and you should be good to go.

The same concept works for inline frames... That's easier probably depends on your workflow...

  • Compare the column values for multiple lines

    I am new to oracle and I have a requirement to compare the values of column across multiple lines.  If all column values are the same, I want to display that value, if the columns are not the same, I need to display 'no match' as value.   I need id to group values and display a status value based on the above logic.   Can anyone offer assistance with dispalying the result expected below?

    Sample

    Table

    State ID

    1         S

    2         L

    1         S

    2          S

    expected results

    State ID

    1         S

    2 no match

    Hello

    That's what you asked for:

    SELECT id

    CASE

    WHEN COUNT (DISTINCT status) > 1

    THEN "no match."

    For ANOTHER MIN (status)

    The END as status

    T

    GROUP BY id

    ;

    Want that if each State ID is NULL?  The CASE expression above returns NULL in this situation.

  • Get the value based on the column names for the custom of the Webcenter content metadata field

    University Complutense of MADRID, I created a custom text metadata field.  I then activated optlist this area.  I fill the optList values, I use a view.  The view has three columns.  Let us call their ID, Key, Value.  OptList shows keys in its list.  I then create content (Content ID: MyContent) Webcenter content and choose the OptList values for my new field of metadata (MyField).

    WebCenter portal, I'm filling a selectOneChoice with MyField values in the content ID: MyContent.  Remember the previous step, the values entered in selectOneChoice lists them selected values from the field MyField optList.  The optList is filled from view.  After the user selects a value in selectOneChoice, in Javascript, I need to alert a message in this format "selected value - matching value from the view of the optList that fills MyField.

    In my opinion, only an example will be useful:

    This is a view that I created in Configuration Manager applet in Webcenter content Admin cmdlets :

    ID | State | Capital

    1. North Carolina | Raleigh

    2. California | Sacramento

    3. Illinois | Chicago

    Then I create a custom field (name: MyField).  MyField is an optList values are filled with view created above.  Internal value and the display value are the two State.  Then I have a new content with Content Id Check-In: MyContent.  To MyContent, I select these values in OptList MyField: {North Carolina, Illinois}.

    In my portal Webcenter application, I create a Taskflow presenter content.  I have set up as single content item presenter.  I attribute as content ID MyContent.  Then, in templateView, I get all the values of MyField in MyContent and display as selectOneChoice.  I created a javascript function that would get the value that the user selected in selectOneChoice.  In the view created in the Webcenter content Configuration Manager (see above), there is a value corresponding to each displayed value.  So, for the selected value, I need to get the corresponding Capital and display in my alert message.

    Starting from Javascript, how can I get the value of the Capital, since I have the status value.

    Hello.

    The idea to reach your requirement is planned:

    • Create an Assistant manage bean that will appeal as access map: #{stateUtil ['Calofironia']} (it will return Raleigh). This value will get calling GET_SCHEMA_VIEW_VALUES IDC service using RIDC in your managed bean.
    • Pass the result of #{stateUtil ["statename"]} to your JavaScript function to help

    I hope this information help you.

  • change the column size for the number

    Hello

    I created a table with a primary key declared under the (default specification) NUMBER column.

    Create table T

    (

    Number of key primary col1,.

    col2 varchar2 (10)

    );

    Then, I filled this table using the sequence. Now, I want to change the size of the primary key to the number (15) column.

    Is this possible without emptying the primary key column?

    You can't reduce the length of a column that has already given. But you can work around it like that.

    SQL> create table t  2  (  3  col1 number primary key,  4  col2 varchar2(10)  5  );

  • How can I modify, move, add a column... Information for the columns to make a few changes of script?

    Hi Oracle Experts,

    I have a difficult question . Lets say that I have two table with the same name, but these two tables come from two different databases with 2 different users.

    Table Column Data_Type Length PRECISION Scale Primary key Nullable Default Comment
    BOOKSBOOK_IDVarchar220--1---
    PRICENumber-62-Yes--
    TITLEVarchar250---Yes--

    What I want to do:

    I want to get a query script that shows which columns need to edit, add and drop depends on the source table (make the necessary changes to make the columns in the Source table columns the same target table). No need to make any changes in the database do not want the query that must run to make these changes.

    EXAMPLE: I was using under query to get the query create table EMP. But seeing the column information to create the column even for the other user is difficult:)

    Select dbms_metadata.get_ddl ('TABLE', 'EMP') of double

  • Navigation from the column data

    JDev ADF BC 11.1.1.5.0

    Is it possible to provide a navigation of the column?
    For example, I have a column named "Accounts" to my table and there a few records. Each record should appear as a hyperlink that will lead me to a page where I can see the account information in detail.

    Suppose you already have an af:table with the data in it. Change the af: inputText / af:outputText for an af:commandLink account number - you can do it in source view (you will need to remove all properties that are not valid for af:commandLink). Set the Action property to point to a rule of control flow that takes you to the detail page. (If you were on 11.1.2.x, you must apply the hotfix that Frank details in the first part of the post that I linked you - this hotfix verifies that by clicking on the order link allows the current record).

    It is literally all you should have to do.

    Hello

    You can do one way.

    The option called - import formatting of another analysis.

    How to proceed:

    Create a column and changes of position of column format and save this report then GO--> your main report--> tab Select results--> below option called set import in form, another analytical use, this option will apply in your report, format column changes all the columns.

    Note: Have you tried the "formatting of another analysis to import" button in the upper left corner of the view of layout? Make all your changes of format in an analysis. Then when everything is finalized, import them in other analyses.

    Because as I said above that rowset for the euro1 area is perfect because in the location column there are lines for the euro1, SUBAREA1 and SUBAREA2 area. is exists, whereas if we see that there are no lines for AREA2 with the value SUBAREA2 in the place, even regarding the Domain3, there is no line that has the value of the SUBAREA1 location and even for AREA4, there is no line as location = AREA4. It is a table which is having all the names of place with nested values; for example, we can see that vill7 is exist in zone2 including SUBAREA1 (COLUMN NAME) = "SUBAREA1" AND SUBAREA2 (COLUMN NAME) = "SUBAREA2", but I would like to know location = SUBAREA2 then it will say no line, I want to generate all the lines that is to have no value in the column location for said AREA/SUBAREA1/SUBAREA2 column. )

    except that it is for an indefinite period including the ID will assign to what line. I guess that doesn't matter, as long as 130 to 137 numbers are used (or 131 to 138, if that is what you really want).

    When I run your code on the table he returned me the desired output, but when I run it on my actual table that is having 45800 lines, then he messed up some results, because I think that in your code, I should mention the clause ORDER BY ID somewhere... Therefore, in this example I mention different IDS while inserting the lines. Your code worked very well because it is having only 25 rows with ID Ordered, while my actual table is to have 45800 lines in the table, there is no guarantee of ID ordered... so I think that its a problem with the order by clause, ID... but I don't know where I should put this clause

    What is the significance of id? Is this just a unique key? That's, I guess that each line must have an id and two rows can have the same id, but, aside from that, it doesn't matter what line has which id.
    The query I posted yesterday assumes that subarea1 and subarea2 were functionally dependent on the area. as in the example of data you posted yesterday. I see your last post that's not true, and which explains erroneous results.

    As I said yesterday, if you are actually setting up new lines in the table, you must use a sequence to generate identifiers.

  • Print the contents of the code page for conversion (cntd)

    Hello

    Given the sql code:
    select  tegn,  convert_back,
            rn chr, upper(substr(dump(tegn,16),instr(dump(tegn,16),':')+2)) hex,
            upper(substr(dump(convert(tegn, 'we8BS2000', 'WE8ISO8859P1'),10),instr(dump(convert(tegn, 'we8BS2000', 'WE8ISO8859P1'),10),':')+1)) chr_BS2000 ,
           upper(substr(dump(convert(tegn, 'we8BS2000', 'WE8ISO8859P1'),16),instr(dump(convert(tegn, 'we8BS2000', 'WE8ISO8859P1'),16),':')+1)) Hex_BS2000 ,
           case when convert_back = tegn then null else '... OBS ...' end obs
    from (select level rn, chr(level) tegn, convert(convert(chr(level), 'we8BS2000', 'WE8ISO8859P1'),'WE8ISO8859P1','we8BS2000') convert_back
    from dual connect by level <= 255);
    It would be nice to have an impression of Matrix of a page of code like this:
    ......    00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A 0B 0C 0D 0E 0F
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    ......    00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A 0B 0C 0D 0E 0F
    How I chunk up to 256 lines of SQL resultset above and make the most beautiful way in 16 * 16 lines?

    Best regards
    Mette

    Hi, put,

    Show a column of several rows under more than one column on a line is called pivoting.
    Search for "pivot" for a description and examples.
    To rotate, you must have the value (hex_bs25000 in your case) on the same line with something that indicates which row and column of the results will be this value. The last character in hex is good for the column. For the line, you could you the first character of the Hexagon, but find it me easier to derrive from the rn column in your initial query.

    COLUMN     "00"     FORMAT A2
    COLUMN     "01"     FORMAT A2
    COLUMN     "02"     FORMAT A2
    COLUMN     "03"     FORMAT A2
    COLUMN     "04"     FORMAT A2
    -- ...
    COLUMN     "0F"     FORMAT A2

                   , 2

         FROM     (select level rn, chr(level) tegn, convert(convert(chr(level), 'we8BS2000', 'WE8ISO8859P1'),'WE8ISO8859P1','we8BS2000') convert_back
    from dual connect by level <= 255)
    )
    SELECT       MIN (hex) || '-'
                        || MAX (hex)     AS label
    , MIN (CASE WHEN hex LIKE '_0' THEN hex_bs25000 END) AS "00"
    , MIN (CASE WHEN hex LIKE '_1' THEN hex_bs25000 END) AS "01"
    , MIN (CASE WHEN hex LIKE '_2' THEN hex_bs25000 END) AS "02"
    , MIN (CASE WHEN hex LIKE '_3' THEN hex_bs25000 END) AS "03"
    , MIN (CASE WHEN hex LIKE '_4' THEN hex_bs25000 END) AS "04"
    ,       '...'
    , MIN (CASE WHEN hex LIKE '_F' THEN hex_bs25000 END) AS "0F"
    FROM       unpivoted
    GROUP BY  r_num
    ORDER BY  r_num;

    Notice that the dynamic cross non-subquery is basically your original query, omitting the unnecessary columns here and adding some updates in form.

  • Hiding the data in the column on the report, but allowing the export of these data in the column

    I have a classic report I want to hide columns on the screen when the user runs the report. However, when they choose export data, I would like to include these columns in the exported file. In terms of attributes, the deselection of the Show checkbox removes this column of list on the report. However, she removes it also to export. Going into the print attributes tab and checking included in export and check the width of column > 0 does not solve this problem.

    Is it possible to hide the columns in the report area, but retain the column data for the export file?

    Thank you

    Joshua:

    I was able to use the OTN of Denes Kubicek http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:108:5784337801775286:RP site code:
    to enable an on-screen report columns that must appear in the export. (The export is carried out in a XLS file. The Dene code can be easily modified to write CSV instead).

    Please follow the link above and get the necessary pkg pl/sql and instructions. Follow the "How To" or Readme doc and configure your application to the Apex and the report as a result page.

    Go to the section "Attributes of column" for each column in your report and explicitly don't set the field 'Inlcude in export' to 'Yes' or «»

    I hope it works for you.

  • Adjust the auto-attack for all paragraphs

    Hi-

    I want to increase my auto ranging from 115 to 125% for all "normal" paragraphs in my document.

    I know that I usually have to apply the paragraph style for those I want changed, but this document has hundreds of points, I can't do it manually.

    I read in another post that the trick is to change the standard paragraph style and then have it as a point of departure for those I want to change.

    I did, but it does not affect anything other than paragraphs that apply styles to manually.

    What can I do? Lars

    Auto leader amaount is defined in paragraph style definition in the Justification section. If you have changed manually for some paragraphs is probably now a local replacement option that needs to be removed. You should be able to do it using find/replace and search for the paragraph style, then replace with the same style. That should remove ALL the substitutions, so if you have any other, they will be lost.
