The default navigation toolbar has disappeared. I want to reinstall it. I now have no way to go back, refresh, etc..

When I opened Firefox today, the toolbar of navigation by default, purely and simply disappeared. I have now no way to 'come back' "Restore page" etc. I need to know how to retrieve.

Don't forget the Navigation bar is enabled (checked = displayed; uncontrolled won't = displayed)

If you don't have a title bar, toolbars, tabs, you can be in full screen. The F11 key activates / turns off Mode full screen or not.

    Changes in the toolbars:

I don't like the changes made to the user interface either, rather than to save toolbar space, they would have much more space with 1/10 the functionality. But the important thing is that it's Firefox and you can customize things yourself. Your complaints about the Firefox toolbars are the top 10 items in what follows and they are quickly fixed.

You can make Firefox 5.0 looks not like Firefox 3.6.19, see numbered 1 to 10 points in the next topic difficulty Firefox 4.0 UI toolbar, problems (Make Firefox 5.0, or 4.0.1 resemble 3.6). If you make changes, you must be aware of what has changed and what it takes to use changed or missing features.

hostage to the third party toolbar:

Why you would bind your use of any third-party toolbar browser, which was never really necessary, and even less be hostage to not update to Firefox. Google has had over a year to update their toolbar for Firefox 4 and changes for Firefox 5 could have been tested for several months. Google has waited very long before for finally stating that they would maintain is no longer their toolbar for Firefox, claiming that it was not necessary, and that the items were in Firefox. Also be aware that the features are also in their own browser that also do not need or use the Google toolbar. Not only is Mozilla open source, but all the information is available to anyone - you can even listen online meetings yourself or wait for a printed reviewa.
There is no change to the user interface of Firefox 4 to 5 and probably even not through Firefox 7

From the F8 Advanced Boot Options menu, were you unable to choose:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Your system sounds like it restarts to determine what he complains and then someone can help you to repair.

This is why there is a disable automatic restart on system failure option...

There is another option in the menu F8 Advance Startup Options:

Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)

I do not think that this will help you, but you can at least say you tried it if someone suggests.

  • My form tool, who was in the left toolbar has disappeared. How can I get that back?

I PSE9 and have used the PES to edit the screenshots. Some screenshots demanded that I place an arrow points to a specific location. I used the tool form for this purpose. For some reason, the shape tool has disappeared and I can't understand how to get it back. How to restore the shape of the toolbar tool?

Press U on the keyboard to scroll through the nested tools, and you should see it.

  • How can I enter a url? The window for this has disappeared.

The new Firefox home screen doesn't have a place to enter a url. Everything seems to be able to do is go to Ask.com, which I won't do. I want to be able to enter a url, press on enter and navigate to a Web page. With the new design of the screen I can't see how to do this.

Make sure that you run not Firefox mode full screen (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command + SHIFT + F).

Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible.

    • Firefox menu button > Options

  • My AVG safesearch toolbar has disappeared and I can't get it back.

    I have two problems.

1.I finally downloaded the latest version of Firefox, which I tried to avoid since the last time I did I got many problems. Now that I did, my AVG safe search toolbar disappeared.

    2. in addition, I already visited secure sites, I could tell when a yellow padlock appears in the bottom right of the page. This is now gone, so I have no way of knowing if I'm on an SSL site or not and I worry about what I do all my banking and online shopping.

Can someone tell me please on these issues? Thank you.

OK, let's start with your second question first.

The status bar at the bottom of the screen disappeared. Instead of a padlock, Firefox uses the Site identity button to inform you if you are on a website that is secure or not. You can read the article to learn more about it and the new features it offers against the padlock.

As for your toolbar AVG safe search, if you still want to use it in Firefox 10, you may need to install an AVg update and toolbar to make it compatible with Firefox. If AVG doesn't have an update, you can contact them to ask when considering making it compatible with Firefox 10.

Another thing I noticed (not related to your problem) is that you have some plugins up to date, so I run check [plugin check] Mozilla plugin and install the updates that it finds.

Basically, I want to keep the default value for the previous Firefox version as this new 4.0 is ugly and bulky, and it doesn't for a fluid navigation. • Cut icons placed in the custom navigation toolbar

I ' ve customize my navigation toolbar, using the right click - option, to organize the icons I want to customize. " Firefox randomly keeps falling back in the window icons customize, and I have to eventually rebuild the toolbar.

It usually occurs as a result of an accident (FF, not BONES), sometimes not. Sometimes it happens when I click by mistake my desktop icon a second time to open Firefox, when it is already loading in the background. Other times it happens when I reopen it FF after Vista comes out of hibernation, other times not. If FF hold for closed firm but then on his own, as when my CPU is running high, seems to be avantureux time it is more likely to occur.

The one denominator common is a difficult open or close.

I'm tired of doing it, especially since the icons are essential for my work prety. The navigation bar resets the arrows forward/back, reload, stop and home and the address bar and search buttons.

In response to the search on the forums I tried to delete the localstore.rdf file so he could regenerate. That did not help. I think that when this started, I migrated my profile. I don't remember if this helped temporarily, but of course I now have the problem again.

If there is no solution for this beyond rebuild my profile again or turn off the extensiosn and hoping that this somewhat random problem occurs again, is anyone aware of an add we can "lock" my navigation bar, or take a picture, so I can restore it with a single click. I have FEBE but it does not cover customizations like this.

Make a copy of the localstore.rdf file when the icons are in the right place and when the navigation bar is broken once again, copy this file in your profile folder. Who will save you at least the time to re - customize your toolbars.

With so many extensions that you have installed, there is probably a conflict between some of these extensions, which causes this problem. IMO, trying to determine exactly what extension (or two or three) is the cause of this problem would be real time. (Summer, did that several times in the past 9 years).

As much as to try to really solve the cause, it may be in your best interest to create a new profile and install only the extensions you use currently - you seem to have disabled extensions, but are still installed. Using this article as a guide - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions - avoid the extensions that have been reported as problematic. If there are people on this list who are a 'must have' for you, install these after you have others installed and used the new profile to ensure that you are nit having this same problem.

  • Editing the default navigation tips?

Is it possible, using Captivate 6, change the default ToolTips, you get with the navigation bar? Instead the play/pause button tooltip saying 'Play' or 'Pause', I would like to say "Next" or "Pause".

    Thank you!

No way to do it using Captivate 6.

You must enter in the FLA file that was used to create the PlayBar of skin and reprogram the way it works.  You need Flash or some other IDE capable of editing the FLA files to do this.
