  • Form based on a Table, only updated authorized, form does not display the data

    Hello

I created a form based on a Table by the corresponding wizzard. The table has only one line. The shape didn't create or delete buttons, only update & Cancel is allowed. The PK (id field) is hidden and it takes the value of a database trigger when insert (in fact never is apllied because there is no Create).

When the form is called it is already displayed in update mode, with cancel button allowed but not data in the fields. Line seems ok, session data available null to variables/positions. No idea why this is happenning? I expect to HAV the data in the form fields.

  • Master detail form based on single Table

    Hi all.
    I have a table like

    daily_transaction
    (
    TRANSACTION_DATE DATE,
    LINE_ID NUMBER,
    ITEM_CODE VARCHAR2 (10),
    NUMBER OF BALANCE,
    DESCRIPTION VARCHAR2 (500)
    )

Now, I want to build form master detail

master form have only transaction Date all in the form of retail have row id, item, balance, date of transaction, description code

I join date of the main transaction with the date of the transaction in detail

now the problem is when I enter two archives in the form and save it, it save 3 record in the table, an empty line except transaction date
Please guide me how to save two archives:

Secondly when I update / edit date of master on the date of the operation blank line change, how do I update details form

In order to perform an update on a view - it must be a "editable view. You try to update the MASTER block (based on the view)? Otherwise, make sure that you change the property update block allowed to 'No' as it is default to 'yes '. If you do not update the MASTER block, make sure that your point of view is "can". Read this article from Tom ask article on editable views. http://asktom.Oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0:P11_QUESTION_ID:5226026422731.

  • How to update a field date in a form based on a table

I created a form (FOO). This form has a column called LAST_UPDATE_DATE. I want to update the value of the column with the date and time when the user makes a change to the line. I'm running into some difficulties doing this work.

I updated the source of the default database column type this field. The value of the source or the expression has the value "LAST_UPDATE_DATE". I also set the default value (TO_CHAR (SYSTIMESTAMP, "DD-MON-YYYY HH24"); The first time, this line is being updated field is updated correctly the current date/time. However, on later changes to the line, the field does not have the most recent date/time value.

Any recommendations on what I am doing wrong or what might be the right way to address the issue?

    Thank you
    John

    John,

You can also just do a process that fires after the automatic line, which defines the update_by and the update_date of check processing.

or conversely, you might have a process just before you automatic line treatment for set the update_time systimestamp element fire. in this way the actual insertion/update is managed by the transformation of the auto line.

In addition, if you are worried about forgetting the trigger, I always do an installation script and add new items to it because they are necessary. Then, you add the installation script in your support items if she lives with the application.

    See you soon,.

  • Modify the table basic forms of Portal

    Hello

I have a form based on a table in Oracle Portal. Is it possible to change the base table to another table with the same fields?

    Thank you
    Arne

    Hey Arne,

    Official answer:

No, Oracle Portal creates a package for your component of forms in the application's schema. The name of the table is stored in the package. Assistants do allow you to edit the table.

Answer official, not supported by Oracle:

Yes, you can change the code to package body. Especially when the columns do not change, it is easy enough to change the database table. I did the following test on the portal 11.1.1.x with the form of the example on the Emp table in the provider database PORTAL_DEMO:

    1. create a copy of the EMP table:

    SQL > conn portal_demo
    SQL > create table my_emp in select * from emp;

    2. in the portal user interface, go to the browser and navigate to the following location:

Path: providers > locally built providers > Application example

    3. create a copy of the form on the EMP Table example

    * Click on manage link
    * Go to manage subtab
    * Click Copy to create a copy of the form

    4. in the portal navigation, click on the link manage to the new form that was created in step 3

    5. click on the link called Package body to get the body of your form package

6 open the code in an appropriate editor or a tool such as SQL Developer and do a search and replace for string EMP. replace by MY_EMP.

7 run the code updated the package in your portal repository database when it is connected as a user PORTAL_DEMO

    Thank you

  • DDL captured for the Table rules

Is there a list of DDL that is captured for the different rules in the subprogrammes DBMS_STREAMS_ADM. For example, the ADD_GLOBAL_RULES probably capture more DOF will be ADD_TABLE_RULES.

Basically, I have the table set up rules and want to replicated or ignore some DDL commands. However, I would like to know which command the DDL that I need either to ignore or apply in the DDL handler.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Good Question. I think the issue here is more specific to the rules of the TABLE since we already know that global rules and schema automatically captures all the DDLS globally or specific to a schema.

I've tested this earlier, and I remember that table rules capture generally indices and triggers on these tables. Other objects are not specific to a single table (such as views or procedures can be based on several tables).

    Please test this point.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

  • Control of "tab" on the keyboard in the table of Clusters

I'm trying to Polish some of my LabVIEW user interfaces so that my users can work faster in them and so that they follow more "user Windows interface standards" (or other).

I have an array of clusters.  The cluster has 3 digits.

When a user "focuses" on the first digital in a cluster and press the tab key, it moves the focus to the second digital.  Press tab again, and he climbs to 3rd digital.  Hit the tab key a 3rd time and it jumps to the first digital in the cluster.  I want to do is for the focus to move to the first digital in the element next to the table.

I started playing with the case "Key Down" event that has a conditional looking for "TAB" and then check the 'FindCtrlWithKeyFocus' with the last digital.  My probes in this event show that detection of keys "TAB" works, but the "FindCtrlWithKeyFocus" never invoke a REAL output of the output of "CtrlFound?" of the node.

Even though I didn't know if the tab has been pressed in the last item, I know right how to move the focus to the first digital within the next cluster of the table element.

A table behaves appropriately.  I was able to get the program to work as I want with a 2d numerical values table.  However, each digital has different data entry parameters and there is also a loss of "free documentation.  I would like to find a solution because it came with another, more complex, Bay of clusters that would not be solveable with an array of 2d from a base type.

    Seems too complicated for me.

Bonus question: the default my digital is 0.  When my user clicks on a digital the cursor is on each side of the value 0 and the user must remove 0 before their seizure.  When a number is entered through the Tab key, the entire field is selected.  When the whole field is selected, all user entries will replace the '0' original, which has been in the field.  In any case, to have all of the selected field when the user uses the mouse?

Sorry for the post wall-of-text (and the hell of the preposition).  Thanks for your comments.

and a snippet of code, if it is more useful for some:

  • Hide a button in the header of the table on the following pages

I have a button to add a line in the header of the table of a dynamic form of LiveCycle and want to hide this button once someone clicks on a button "Lock".  Individual array elements are fine as the elements in the master page.  But I see not where I hide the table elements that are repeated in subsequent pages (header/footer).

    Can anyone help?

The button Add code app.alert (this.somExpression) is only a temporary measure to allow you to see the expression that you need to reference in your loop for. Now to make your form and have the table spread over several pages. Click on the button on a cup of different pages. It ill diosplay the somExpression for the button you touched. Note the similarities in name... you will see that the Expressions are the same except for the appearance of the Page Name marked by [n]. This scene reproduced occurance is what you need to know... then you can use the instanceManger, count to see how they are and to build your loop for loop through each instance and change the presence of the button.

    make sense?

  • read the values of an array element and by sending a digital output to a designated channel according to the value read from the table

    Hello world

could someone help me before I get out of my hair. Here's my problem.

I read 3 values of an array of 3 elements i.e. 1,2,3. These values are then compared to a constant value, example if the first element of the array is 1 and it meets the comparison condition can send a digital camera of output for that channel on data acquisition

I want to be able to send a value from a table to its corresponding comparison and then on its designated channel on the acquisition of data, the whole point of this is due to the fact the table element will not always read the value 1,2,3 for example could be 2,3,1

Here's one the vi I have so far

Hi, creates a BP custom with the effective date in field added to my details form or higher. Can I have a set of validation rules up for my top of or the form detailed such as the effective date cannot be greater than the current date? Thanks in advance.

For the decimal amount, you need to change the formula type, the default value is a numerical formula, but you must choose the date difference. This is the online help:

    To create a date-difference formula

    1. Open the form that contains the field for which you want to create a formula. The form designer window opens.
    2. In the form designer window, select the date field that you want to create the formula. When the calculation is performed, this field appears as read-only on the form and will automatically update each time that the fields that make up the formula change.
    3. Click the formula button. A creation of the formula window opens.
    4. In the formula field Type, choose the difference in Date in the list. The window expands to show additional fields, as shown in the table below.
    5. Click OK to save your changes and close the window.

    In this area:

    Follow these steps:

    Last Date

Click on the arrow down. uDesigner displays the list of all numeric fields on the form. In this list, choose the field that contains the later of the two dates that will be used in the calculation.

    Earliest date

Click on the arrow down. In this list, choose the field that contains the first of the two dates that will be used in the calculation.

Is it viable to not include the column in the form of the APEX and have a default value to the column in the table?
