the editor updates Java Oracle or Sun Microsystems?

I use Windows Vista and get a pop up window that says something like "New update of Java".  Can I get another window which gives me the opportunity to continue or to cancel the update.

The problem is that this window identifies the Editor (or what they call) as Sun Microsystems.  In addition, the update is jucheck.exe.  I checked on the Oracle website to see if this is a legitimate update.  Information of this site provided as jucheck.exe and also that my cancel or continue the window should look like.  Here, the editor is noted as Oracle Corporation (in bold). So I wonder if the update is legitimate, because the editor is that Sun Microsystems and Oracle not noticed.  I got nowhere to get a response on the Oracle website.  Thank you kindly.

I have the same problem with Windows 7: a msg saying that I need to update Java Sun Microsystems... I'M DOWN... IF this Java software is required for Windows working properly so Microsoft needs to update the msg if users don't worry / spyware software malware.

  • Seller of Java - Oracle or Sun?

    Hello

    I want to know how I'm supposed to know what 'Java provider', we used for our installation of JDK. It is the Oracle, or is the Sun?

    . / java-version gives me

    Java version "1.7.0_05".
    Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_05 - b05)
    Java for 64-bit Server VM (build 23, 1 - b03, mixed mode)

    I know, Oracle bought Sun, which is so that it is?

    There are many ways to execute Java code to understand the seller (as System.getProperties ()), but I just need something to run in our RHEL 5 box to better understand.

  • How to get the capacity of the disk in java oracle

    Hi, Experts.

    I try to get the drive capacity c: in oracle, for this, I use java, but I had a few problems, because in oracle file i/o class, it does not work as expected. This is my sample code:

    CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED TEST.DISKS_FREE as

    import java.io.File;

    import java.sql.*;

    public class DiskFreeSpace

    {

    public static long loadDisk() throws SQLException

    {

    File file = new File("c:");

    long freeSpace = file.getFreeSpace();

    return freeSpace;

    }
    }

    When I compile this code, throw this error:

    [Error]  (0: 0): DISKS_FREE:14: cannot find symbol
    [Error]  (0: 0): symbol  : method getFreeSpace()
    [Error]  (0: 0): location: class java.io.File
    [Error]  (0: 0):   long freeSpace = file.getFreeSpace();
    [Error]  (0: 0):   ^
    [Error]  (0: 0): 1 error

    This means that compliler is the method getFreeSpace() in java.io.File, however if I test this in java jdk5, same that use oracle 11 g 2, works perfect.

    I post this issue previously in StackOverflow without success.

    Thanks in advance.

    Prior to Java 6, you can use this: FileSystemUtils (common IO 2.4 API)

    is no more than a specific OS command line execution, so you can probably only implement if you do not want to load the entire jar in the db.

  • Java plugin for Oracle hangs after the last update

    As part of the requirement of the Oracle, we run JRE 1.7.60
    To update firefox this morning and now the plugin is constantly crashing.

    Hello

    Thanks for your reply, but I doubt that flash player is related to do with Java.

    And the Java applet crashing in my browser, I guess, should not be linked to my graphics driver, especially since the only update that took place was an update of firefox.

    In any case, Firefox for some reason any launches 2 additional tabs when executing the Java Applet (IE does not work). In the past, I'm used to close the first tab, since it contains nothing except an Oracle logo.
    However, it seems that after the last update of firefox, if this tab is closed, it cause Java to crash.

    Therefore, do not close the additional tabs by the Java Applet. However, this has never happened before, do not know what has changed in the latest version of Firefox to make it happen now?

    Thank you

  • So I can update my Oracle Java Applet plugin Development Kit 7, update 65, can you link me to the correct page of download of Oracle from your update of the Plugin page?

    When I accessed to periodically your Plugin Check and updates the web page in the past, I really appreciated that you connect to the right webpage updates of the Plugin of the seller when I clicked on the button update now red. "" This time, however, your Applet Java plug-in 'Update Now' button link I Oracle Java "Release Notes for updates to 7u65 ' rather than the usual download page. It seems rather unexpected for me, or any other user conscientious, to search for the appropriate file "JDK 7U65" download on the Oracle website.

    Thank you

    I usually use this page: http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp

    I hope that someone will fix the plugin check site.

  • Update Java plug-in on Oracle DID

    Hi all

    On my test Oracle Application Server where I have installed discoverer, I updated my configuration.xml file, but when I log in the Application of the ias_admin server controls and move the discoverer (application server: disccoverer.appsvmrpt02.cm.charter.com > Scout > Discoverer Plus), I have the following error:

    An error occurred:oracle.disco.oem.configuration.DiscoConfigurationException: could not find item: configuration see base exception for more details. Solution: See base exception for more details. Base exception: java.lang.NullPointerException null

    Here's my jvm of my configuration file element. XML that I've updated:

    I confirm that this element is well trained front of insert/edit.
    I also tested the plugin url in my browser and it works very well.

    I tried to restore, but I get the following error when I navigate to the page of Configuration AS Oracle discoverer Plus:

    An error occurred:oracle.disco.oem.configuration.DiscoConfigurationException: could not find item: configuration Base Exception: the required entity not found. Entity [system/configuration] path not valid. Check the log to see if the PlugIn was loaded resolution: contact the Oracle Support.

    I submit an SR and Oracle recommends applying CP6. One would think that we should be able to restore (our company works very well with this set - up).

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hi Patrick
    If you want to check the right settings for Java 1.6 in your configuration.xml I have a post on my blog which may help.

    Here is the link: http://learndiscoverer.blogspot.com/2009/04/be-careful-when-upgrading-to-java-16.html

    By comparing your chain with me, I see that they are identical with the exception of the directives of regional settings. Furthermore, there should be no space before the / > at the end of the line.

    Do you have a copy of jre6u12.exe here: $ORACLE_HOME/YPI/bin

    He was named exactly as in your configuration.xml

    On your local PC, whenever you have a new version of Java on the server, you need to install this version, even on the local computer. You must also make sure that you delete all the files in your local cache Java otherwise the system will try to run with a witness to the old version, and this will cause problems.

    Hope this helps
    Best wishes
    Michael

When I try to update my plugin on Firefox for the Java 8 51 version update, it downloads and try to install it, but will not complete the installation. I get the error message 1603. Some applications need Java Runtime Environment (JRE), and so do some web page requests.  If * you * need, depends on what you have instaled/where go you on the Internet to do whatever it is you / want to do.

    That you want or need depends on you.  My choice is now JRE 6 - because it has proven more sure, yet.

  • Pogo Java based games will not load with the new update.

    I just got the update last for Firefox 3.6.14. I was always able to use Firefox to play games on Pogo.com. After the update today, I can enter the site, but 90% of the games won't download. Pogo said in their help pages:
    Mozilla has a documented bug filed for Java support in Firefox 3.6.14. Since many Pogo games work on Java technology, it is obviously impacting on Pogo customers who are trying to play their games with the latest version of the browser.
    Is this being addressed and if so what time frame we are looking at? Pogo suggests other browsers, but I prefer mozilla above others. Tbank you, Susan

    You can return to 3.6.13 by downloading and running the 3.6.13 Installer, you can get it from http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.13/win32/en-US

    If you install 3.6.13, the next update that you will be notified is 3.6.15

    OP: Action Center... PC problem: 1 important message

    After the failure of the attempt to install the JAVA update, I received this message from Action Center... Windows cannot check the updates. So I was taken to the dialog box and retried to check the updates of windows fails again with the code D0000034. Also did a system restore to the place before the installation of JAVA update attempt, but was no help. Can you help me?

    Hello Irfan,

    Thanks again for your response. Since your last I discovered through my system status (Control Panel), I wrote that my product ID and the Windows 7 activation status not available. So I followed instuctions to help and microsoft support to activate.  Yet once, I got the error code D0000034 as before with the problem of update. However, I was given the opportunity to phone, but received no phone #. I bought the DVD of Windows 7 and installed on the PC that was custom built for me.  On the site Web microsoft help and support, I was asked for the product ID, which according to them is a # 20 numbers.  Not the only one, I have is the product key which is one 25-alpha-numeric.  I tried to enter only and does not pass.  This is why I say that I can pay for help since I did not ' have the product ID.  Maybe it isn't your area of expertise, Irfan, but I was hoping... I re - install windows on last April when I got in trouble and probably did not re - activate? What do you think?  If you can get back on track, I would be very grateful and thank you once again to be a big help!

    Please ignore above request. I have since re-activated Windows and the problem was solved with technical assistance telephone and thank you again for your help, Irfan. Also thanks to all the people answering the phone at microsoft. The experience I had was really a pleasure. I wasn't expecting such an attitude courteous and professional.

    Keep up the good work,
