On my previous (layout UK) keyboard, typing Alt GR + 5 would be the Euro symbol. The problem I have is that I can only do that if I choose to "Us International" keyboard in Windows 7. Choose normal 'US' layout results in the above key combination does not.   It is a combination of the following three:

  1. HTML browsers usually try to do their best to properly view the Web sites created by people not following the standards required. ISO-8859-1 was historically considered the encoding of characters in the United States and Western European Windows workstations.
