If you see CJK (Chinese/Japanese) characters on the title bar of Firefox or Windows task bar, then that can happen if Firefox go to encoding UTF-16 for some reason any.

The extension Plugin RealPlayer browser Record (Tools > Modules > Extensions) has reported that causes this problem.

Be sure not to be confused with the RealPlayer plugin (Tools > Modules > Plugins) that plays media files.

  • I have Chinese characters in a queue (queues make supports Unicode)?

I am aware that there is a number of tools that allow the use of Chinese characters in LabVIEW. I have successfully built an application where I am able to switch between English and Chinese, as well as all text, buttons, screen etc multi-column list boxes are updated correctly.

However, I do all my recording of events by using queues. When I remove one point, I want to write to a log (i.e. a ".txt" file) file, but the resulting file contains waste instead of Chinese characters.

As an experiment, I created a simple VI who reads an array of Chinese and written text into a text file and it works fine. But, as I say, if I try to do that using queues, I just just get garbage.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't know a lot about Unicode, but the issue could be the end of the line inserted by writing to a text file. Help for this function:

This function adds characters depending on the platform end of line (EOL) to the elements of a table even if you right-click the function and remove the check mark next to the menu item Convert EOL .

I changed it so that a string is constructed within a certain time a loop using a shift register and concatenate strings. In this way you write just a single strnig instead of an array of strings with the EOL. Yet once I don't know if that is still the question.

You should also take advantage of data flow and do not use the structure of the sequence. I modified your program to do. The cluster of queue data type specification must also be a typedef.

  • Chinese and English at the top of market

    Hi-

I mixed Chinese and English in my book without any problems. However, I have a column with the Chinese and English, and the Chinese characters will not appear in the current header of execution, only obliterated square.

    You have any ideas? Lars

It is perhaps obvious, but: you apply a paragraph style that the head of race, right? The variable contains the first use of LiSongPro18Header, but you must select the current title with the text tool and mark it with a parastyle (or the character style) with Chinese glyphs.

  • OCR training on Chinese characters

    Hi all

I want to recognize the Chinese characters via OCR toolkit

In regard to English characters and numbers, I could train chacters several at once, say "abc123".

When I, however, form several Chinese characters, it will come out of bad character number warning popup.

In additional, it may appoint one character to several Chinese characters.

This means that I have to form Chinese characters one by one, never all of the characters?

Chinese characters are not 'effective' for the toolkit characters LabVIEW OCR to process individual and may not treat them together to deal with.

Could someone give me some suggestions? Thank you very much.

I think that Chinese characters are represented in the operating system by several characters, probably a sequence of two characters.  Even if it is displayed as a single character, for LabVIEW, it seems that you type two characters.  It might be interesting to verify this by checking the length of the string in LabVIEW.

I think that the formation of character both would work well.  If you do a lot of training, you could write a quick utility that loop over each unknown character and ask the correct character, resulting in the formation of a single character at a time by a long sequence of characters.

  • PDF from Word 2007 ends with scrambled Chinese characters

I have a problem with PDF files when converting a Word 2007 document that includes traditional Chinese characters and I hope someone might be able to help or point me in the right direction. After the converted PDF through "Create a PDF file" in the Acrobat toolbar, the Chinese characters are all wrong. It seems that the Chinese, but none of the characters actually exist, it's all scrambled and useless. English text conversion or German works very well, so far, only the Chinese traditional text that is causing problems.

The strange thing is that, before you install Office 2007, everything works perfectly. I could convert Chinese text in Word 2003 without any problems and that the update for Word 2007, nothing has changed. No idea where to start troubleshooting and how to fix it? I already tried to re-install and Repair Word and Acrobat, but no improvement.

OS: Windows XP Professional SP3 (English system)

    Adobe: Master Collection CS4 (English)

Acrobat: Acrobat 9 Pro v9.1.3 (English)

PDF Maker: Conversion settings have the default «more small file size» Web

    Word: Microsoft Office Word 2007 (12.0.6504.5000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6425.1000)

Note: Using of "save in" and select 'PDF or XPS' in Word 2007 works very well, Chinese characters will appear correctly in the PDF, but I prefer use of Acrobat PDF Creator to create my PDFs.

If you use ctrl-D and check the tab fonts, the fonts are included? Otherwise, check your job.settings and possibly change to a press or print settings. Settings std tends to not incorporate a large number of fonts. If you have used the smaller PDF settings, no fonts are embedded.

Also, you can view the log of Distiller file (you may need to make sure that the log file is not deleted after conversion - there is a checkbox for this). Maybe it's that the fonts you're talking about are not allowed for the coating. In the case of MS with the fonts, it may be that they do not know the license - something Adobe has become very cautious. You can compare fonts for the two different PDF files see what is different.

  • Chinese characters in forms PHP and MySQL CS6

Hello. I followed then adapted from David Power dynamic Web Tutorial sites to set up a basic online dictionary site. MySQL works very well for 4 of the 5 fields - post_id, pinyin, and updated. But the main field is hanzi - which should have Chinese characters. When I enter them using a form, MySQL doesn't show that '? 'or'? ' in the fields. Similarly, if I manually enter the correct characters in MYSQL through PHPAdmin, bed Web site as '?

I did some research on this problem and found this page encoding or the ranking parameters may be the problem. So I put the 'MySQL connection classification"and the field classification table & hanzi to"GB2312_chinese_ci"for Chinese characters simplified. I also changed the encoding of PHP pages in < meta http-equiv = "Content-Type" content = text/html"; charset = GB2312"/ >

However, I will still have almost the same problems. Rather than get a value of "?"or"?" in the hanzi MySQL field, I now get variations "? ±«.

I am very new to PHP and MySQL, but as I said, the real pages and forms and queries are works well for all the fields with the exception of the character Chinese one.

    Help, please!

OK thank you fixed your advice, Kenneth.

I have been researching unicode & mysql and finally found this page that it started running properly: http://blog.al-aqel.com/programming/fix-and-store-unicode-in-mysql-php/

As you say, establish codes of characters and rankings mysql to 'utf8_general_ci' including the server, database, tables & fields.

Also, it is the addition of "mysql_set_charset('utf8')"; in my PHP pages this server accessed. This was in addition to affecting the UTF-8 character set in the page's meta tags.

Awesome! Now have working Chinese simplified in my PHP pages, forms and MySQL database.

Thank you again and hope that it might help others with similar problems.
