  I want to usually just looking for a word "in a file name& record' - and can often give a date of the range. In the Explorer of Windows 7, as soon as I type the word, I get all the files that contain the word in the content, as well.  How can I have search only the file or folder name?

  I also don't use 'my documents' or 'libraries '... I create my own subfolders - and usually on a stick... disc so I don't really understand "crawler" or if it is relevant to how I organize my files.

  No need for anything that it is complicated.  Simply type what you are looking for.  If it's in the name of the file, these results will be returned first, above all results corresponding to your searchinside of the file term.  Easy.

  Without indexing places such as stick readers can always be sought, but take a little more time looking for (like XP).

  If I open an application (MYOB accounting software) from a shortcut on my desktop it opens into the backup folder (probably because that's where I left the program). How do you go up a level to find the MYOB file in the folder that contains? Where is the a high level button in the Explorer of Windows 7? If it was deleted, then why? That was the spark that has decided to make life difficult for us? I thought that Microsoft were supposed to make life easier for us, not more difficult.

  The up button directory has been removed in Windows 7 to preserve the appearance of the new command bar.

  Here are some workarounds.

  In the address bar, click the next top-level folder.

  Press the keys Alt + up arrow.

  The up button directory has been re-instated in Windows 8.

  When I try to print multiple files of a directory displayed in the Explorer of Windows 7, the print command of the context menu is available ONLY when the selected for printing files are ALL visible on the screen.   The Centro (and almost all PalmOS devices) do not have this capacity, built in.

  There are several third party programs, you can buy (and a free only).   Look for the card reader or Card Export II.

  PFB is a little more "awkward" that pay more, but you get what you pay for!

• Pull Down Menu with a level 3 Image is not visible to the APEX 4

  I have a request from some lists of type Pull Down Menu with an Image. These menus have a maximum of 3 levels. APEX 3.1 and 3.2, they work very well, all levels are visible at run time.
  
  Now the application is exported to the APEX 4 and only 1 ^ st ^ and 2 ^ nd ^ level of the menu items are visible at run time. After the 2 ^ nd ^ level elements that have child elements, a triangle is visible, but the sublist became visible in the overview. The theme used is blue.

  Try to add S before #LIST_ITEM_ID # in the list template (properties entered sublist).

  I'm trying to add an image to a list of type "Pull Down Menu with Image (Custom 1)", but the image will not be displayed. I use the model 2 - blue and fan.
  
  I'm doing something wrong or is this a known bug? The image I tried to add is "menu/trafficlight_64.gif" (I used the image browser to add to that).

• Different "Dates" in the Explorer of Windows 7 according to directory

  I found that in Windows 7 (but not in previous versions of Windows), if you copy a jpg of the picture library to another library, say Documents, Win 7 is no longer shows the date taken, but returns to the update. It seems that it cannot know that the file is photo once it is out of the photo library! Here are two screenshots with the four first jpg in the photo library and the second being on a sim card (but the result is the same for any library or other than the image library media.) Does anyone have any suggestions to change this behavior?

  

  

  According to me, the mode that a folder is displayed is determined by the type of file it is.  Try right click on the folder that these photos are in, and then select:

  'Properties'-> customize (tab)->

  Then in the box above, select "optimize this folder for: photos ' and click 'apply '.

  I hope that this will make the views of these more consistent records.

  If this does not help, you can press then release the 'Alt' button that will make a bar of menus visible at the top of the Explorer window.  Then select:

  View-> choose details->

  and check the box "Date."  This will add the column to the display.

  The pictures in Windows Media Player folder is the same folder of images in the Windows libraries. If you click on the file icon in the taskbar and select pictures, your images should be there.

• The Explorer of Windows 8, how to change the view?

  I use a lot of pdf files and you want to sort by name descending in large or very large icon view. It was no problem with the Explorer of W7.
