The export of pdf to word without OCR

Hello

I bought Adobe online export program and wanted to export word, but witout OCR scanned pdf pages.

The PDF files are still several pages.

Is there a way to export witout OCR?

In the menu drop-down he always asks me after my tongue, but I can't find an option to cancel the OCR.

Any help?

Sincerely

Jens

Hi jensh81027307

I'm afraid there is not much we can do about it.

The OCR cannot be disabled.

Kind regards

Supriya

Use the "Searchable Image" function on the button change in the OCR dialog box.  This keeps the image, but gives you the searchable text.  The best of both worlds.

It is not enough to just buy it. You will need to also download, install and then use it. If buy you it, but continue to use the free player, he won't have to work.

Very, very unlikely, unless you export each page in the form of a simple graph, slats, words and everything. You ask too much, especially given that Word is not a music creation application.

    Hi ulfs29898036,

There is no free program to export the PDF file.

You will need Adobe PDF Export service https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf to export the PDF file, which can be used with free Acrobat Reader DC help of Acrobat Reader | Help of Acrobat Reader DC.

Otherwise you can purchase/subscription application Acrobat DC Plans and price | Adobe Acrobat DC

If you speak only the free player, the answer is no. To do this, you need the full Acrobat, or any of its associated services.

    Hi jfcobb999,

I'm sorry that you are having problems, file conversion. You convert the web interface, or through Adobe Reader? You have a large number of files in the folder root of your list of files on Acrobat.com?

    Try to start these things:

    • Empty the cache of the browser, and then try again.
    • Use another browser.
    • Make sure the drive is up-to-date by selecting help > check for updates.
    • If you have a large number of files on Acrobat.com, some of them move in a subfolder.

Please let us know how it goes.

  • Questions about the export of PDF with India CS5.5

    Hey all,.

A few questions about the export to PDF of the most recent version of India.

First of all, I noticed it seems to take much more time to access a PDF file. Any suggestions about how to speed up the process? It took 8 minutes to generate a PDF low resolution (for printing) of a document of 24pp with placed images and vector graphics. Wow, that's a long wait, especially for evidence.

Second, the background task... If I get it will make this PDF of 8 minutes and then more work on the document, which is exactly in the PDF? Usually, I have save before making a PDF or printing. Thus, the latest version is saved which will be in the PDF?

(Either incidentally, this ability to work on the doc while generating a PDF file seems kind of weird. Generally, we do a PDF for proofing, or even for printing, when any changes have been made and that everything is "final". Therefore, I see no advantage in being able to work on my document while it is making a PDF file, I am probably once your revisions for the moment. I must say that I like the progress bar that you get when you perform an interactive PDF, as you know that you can not work on the document when it is on the screen...)

    Thank you as always.

Good, people. Wanted to just follow this and post my results. It turns out that the problem is somewhere in the Illustrator file. I never had the time to guess what work plan was the culprit. Other India files PDF files is transparent and not a lot of time.

No resolution, unfortunately, just good to know that it is not all India files on my system. Phew!

    THANK YOU for your advice.

Missing or modified links and overset text won't bother either.idml or a backup.

  • Convert PDF to Word without recognizing the text

Last month I was able to convert PDF documents to Word without recognizing the text. So I found myself with a PDF document as a background image in Word. Then I could just tap on it.

Today, it seems that option no longer exists. The drop-down list shows me 10 language options, but "does not recognize" one of them is no longer.

Does anyone know if there is another way to do it after this last 'improvement' to this service?

    Hi GordonPrince,

You cannot disable the OCR via the web interface, but you can if you convert your files by the reader. Please see How to disable the optical character recognition (O... |) Adobe community.

  • Change of language during the conversion from pdf to word

    Hi keirs32567513,

Described below help page languages supported for OCR in Adobe export in PDF format (in the context of online Document PDF of cloud services).

With the help of OCR in Adobe Reader PDF Document Cloud, export

The desktop version of Acrobat Pro DC provides the OCR function, called "recognize text."

How can I get help with the quality of the PDF documents converted to word format export.

Not likely to have, you're doing a "happy dance" but a scanned image is "the ear of the sow" and (Yes, I'll say).

You can't have a scholarship of silk in one ear of the sow.

Make you a picture of the text content. You get a result of OCR of all that is recognized. The character by character recognition accuracy is generally quite good. But - No image/photo file actually holds information on format, layout, fonts, etc. - it's just a picture. Acrobat OCR makes some assumptions about all this.

-You have a bunch of each of the characters being exported to Word. Individual characters, not paragraphs, sentences no, no words, no values "white space", etc.

So you get an export that is a "best estimate" of the less desirable source. Sometimes, it isn't so bad. Sometimes it's just awful. In all cases, you will need to do some cleanup of the exported content that landed in the Word file.

The alternative is to transcribe the hardcopy to the Word file.
In fact it can often be higher as a workflow rather than the scanning-ocr-export-cleanup shuffle

    .

For really nice export "spot - we ', you must start with a PDF file from an application of creation (not a scanned image) which is a well-formed tag PDF (for example ISO 14289-1, PDF/UA-1).
The purpose of the tagged PDF document is not only Accessible PDF is also how PDF supports actively the re-use of content (for example, export).

    Be well...

  • Problems with the export of PDF to TIFF (a PDF page export also several images in TIFF format)

Using Acrobat X professional, I'm trying to convert a PDF to multiple page in multiple TIFF files - that is, each page of the PDF file is converted to a TIFF file (for example, a PDF file with 50 pages would cause 50 TIFF).

I created a remedy so that I can possibly process batches of PDFs. My action in two stages:

    (1) flatten layers

    (2) export all images as TIFF

-the files are exported to a folder on a network drive

-file settings are: Monochrome = CCITT G4 / grayscale = LZW / color = LZW

-color management: RGB = off / off = CMYK / grayscale = off

-conversion: color space: determine automatically / resolution: 300 pixels/inch

-extraction: exclude the lower images: no limit

My PDF is searchable (OCR has been applied). I checked the file to see if it has all the layers - this isn't. The file was created with InDesign.

Basically, once the action performed there are several exported for each page - TIFF files and when I open the TIFFs they are parts of each PDF page. For example, if a single PDF page has three images on it then three TIFFs are exported for each image instead of a TIFF that is identical to the single PDF page. Then, when I try to treat a PDF with 50 pages that I'm left with is a folder with 150 TIFF files (and not 50 TIFF files - a TIFF for each page of the PDF).

Here is an example of how files are renamed due to export:

      • HD_08_Issue2_E_Page_02_Image_0001.tif
      • HD_08_Issue2_E_Page_02_Image_0002.tif
      • HD_08_Issue2_E_Page_02_Image_0003.tif
      • HD_08_Issue2_E_Page_02_Image_0004.tif
      • HD_08_Issue2_E_Page_02_Image_0005.tif

I tried to use the action on a PDF file that had not been OCR'ed and I had no such problem. The only thing I can think is that it is the OCR which is the origin of each page of the file PDF to split into multiple images? The majority of the files that I need to convert PDF to TIFF had applied OCR.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

In a Save command, you can use the export to TIFF in the output Format.

  • Because the API is available to implement the 'Export to PDF' feature by DataMerge Panel?

    Hi all

I am writing a plugin for InDesign CS5/5.5 in which I need implement the functionality provided by the submenu 'export to PDF' in the InDesign "merge data" Panel to export the document merged in PDF format (with no no matter what user interactions/AC).

I searched and found dozens of different patterns (and interfaces aggregated on these patterns) for the data merge in the file documentation «index.chm» SDK But I was unable to find the statement of these patterns and interfaces in the SDK folder (in the files header etc.). Also the documentation for these patterns and interfaces are very unclear.

It seems that the API is implementation of the feature to create merged Document / export to PDF as the plugin Panel "Merge data" is not directly exposed by the InDesign.

If this is not the case that could someone help me to understand how to programmatically get the feature above because it is very urgent for me.

I'll be very grateful for any pointers/ideas/suggestions.

There are several interesting absent interfaces API. My last case support on one of them got the answer extremely useful confirmation that he was away indeed (I knew that up front) and there was no way around. :-( You can try a case of support anyway, they are revisited on a case by case basis.

For your problem, it could be a workaround - you can still trigger a script from within your plugin, so if you do not have too much detail to merge data overload... On the other hand, PDF export in general is also available, just, without DataMerge.

  • Hyperlinks in PDF any works not in the export in PDF format

I created an ad in InDesign using hyperlinks. I export this announcement as PDF and hypertext links are working fine. Import the PDF file in my magazine in InDesign. Then, when I export the magazine in PDF format, the links in the PDF file do not work.

Other hyperlinks works very well. Hyperlinks in other imported PDFs work very well. It doesn't matter if the imported PDF document is linked or embedded. I also tried to import just the INDD file, but that no longer works.

    What Miss me?

(I use the most up-to-date CC InDesign on Windows 8) I use Print PDF rather than interactive PDF).

What Steve has said is true. Links to not carry on when a file is placed into InDesign, in this way. Bob also noted that be recognized hyperlinks only implied that Acrobat can detect. One solution would be to draw an empty frame on the top link in InDesign, convert it to a button and set it to the GoToURL action and enter the url. This in fact will have an impact on when exporting to PDF, as long as you have the hyperlink check box selected.
