  I am a newbie in FDM. I am facing the following problem: whenever I try to map an account to an account in FDM HFM, I click on "Browse for target value. Each time, this gives an error: 'access denied '. The detailed error is:

  Our deployment configuration (in a nutshell) is as follows:
  
  IN-CCUBICOE2 server: A FDM (services and the web app)
  IN-CCUBICOE3 server: A HFM (services and the web app)
  
  FDM is configured with a local account to the server IN CCUBICOE2. This account is used to configure the application server process, application pool, etc., as well as to register the load balancer adapter.
  
  HFM is configured with a different account local server IN CCUBICOE3.
  
  
  I tried fiddling around with profiles machine in my cards. The current setting is:
  Source: IN-CCUBICOE2
  Target: IN-CCUBICOE3
  (In the part of the credentials, I give the Hyperion credentials or windows credentials?)
  
  The connection method is configured as unified. (but I also tried Global etc.)
  (I installed the HFM client in the server of the CCUBICOE2-IN - residence of FDM and added the cluster of application like IN-CCUBICOE3 - to whom I can connect using the HFM customer)

  Definitely. The local account with the same uid/pwd must exist on the servers of FDM, HFM and if the local account you created in the box of HFM, must exist in the FDM with the same uid/pwd box, and must be a member of the local administrator group. The same for the Local FDM account, it must exist on the servers of HFM and be a member of the local administrator group.

  We urge the user to a domain service account to avoid having to create multiple instances of local accounts as you currently see.

• SmartView-setting 'Member Name and Description' with HFM

  Hi all

  We have EMP 11.1.2.3.500 environment with planning, Essbase, HFM installed products. We use the latest Smart View version 11.1.2.5.215/216.

  When you try to retrieve data for HFM using this version of SmartView I don't get member name and aliases in the report even if I check the option name of Member and Description in settings Smart View Member, we were using an older version of SmartView 11.1.1.3 that could retrieve the names of the members with HFM 11.1.1.3 description inside.

  When I try the same thing for Essbase and planning 11.1.2.3 I get the alias in another column (which is not similar to v11.1.1.3) so it's working for Essbase and planning.

  HFM does support the SmartView parameter Member Name and Description /Description?

  
  

  Is there no workaround solution to achieve this because we have more than a hundred of the SmartView already integrated in the previous version and it won't work for us to only have member names in the reports.

  Can we upload text cell in HFM via FDM of text/Excel files? My goal is to have a text file in the text/Excel format cell column and make load in HFM.

  It is not possible to load the text from the cell with the source file. But we try to do the same thing...
  We decide to map the Description2 FDM fields with the text in the cell in the source file, as in an event (such as aftFileImport) script, to play the field in the table and add text to a field Memo in MDF.
  FDM provide a method to do this: API. ArchiveMgr.fMemoAddItem

  With this method, the memo will be export to HFM as a TxtCase (you must enable in the settings of integration).

  I tried the solution and it works, but we are in the process of implementation.

• FDM and FR are unable to connect to the application of HFM

  We receive errors in the FDM and FR. (EN errpor: "error occurred when accessing the safe array"). they are unable to connect to HFM application even if HFM is in place. It's on and off selection until 2 days ago. Now, they are totally turned off. I can able to connect to FDM and FR.

  We have 3 servers environment. A foundation server, a second server HFM and in the third server we FDM and FR. I thought initillay it is the server problem, so I asked IT team FDM and EN in verse the other server. but it does not solve the issue.

  Firewall settings are disabled. We had no recent patches.

  This problem is solved. It's because of the Temp file is full. I deleted the files in the temporary folder. It's working now.

  I realized I could use an import script to manually calculate the amount with the periodic_net_cr and periodic_net_dr fields.
  
  But how to use this import script? Because in my import in FDM format, I do not use a file but directly the adapter, if no field "Expression".

  I would like to disable FDM during our maintenance windows. I tried to shut down IIS and the FDM Task Manager on the server FDM services, but I can always get the FDM website and view maps, etc... What step am I missing?

  Why not just disable FDM across the screen admin in MDF?

  If you go into the security properties, you can change so that anonymous authentication is not permitted. Then, it will take users to authenticate with a user name / password with valid NTFS permissions in the folder /HyperionFDM. This could come in handy if you want to a subset of people still enter the site who are NOT admins. (Admins can still enter the site after the locking system)

  We have a problem and need help. We have FDM (11.1.2.0) on one server and another server the HFM (11.1.2.1) to which we try to connect. Both systems use different shared services. We use the FM11-X-G5E adapter. We have implemented a user in the HFM and we can get access to the application with the client for win 32 HFM (e.g. data grids) from FDM server open. In the profile of the machine, we entered correct HFM cluster name and the profile of the machine, we use the user that we put on the HFM server.
  
  We trying to do a test connectivity in the web client (find the target accounts in the section maps) that we receive the following error message:

  Phil,

  This isn't a support of integration. By the 11.1.2.1 app readme, 11.1.2.0 will be only supported to integrate with HFM 11.1.2.0.

• PKI with HFM dimension conflict

  Hi guys,.
  
  I need your help for the following, I am using FDM 11.1.1.3 with HFM 11.1.1.3.50. Now, in HFM the dimension of the PKI has been implemented as follows (for which I was told that this is not recommended):
  
  Parent: [high PEAK PAGE]
  Child1: [ICP NONE]
  Child2: PKI [feature]
  Children: 001 to 940
  
  Apparently, FDM guess [NO PIC] should be the parent. At least, I can't export the PEAK values for the entities as they should. Currently, there is a solution with the accounts of logic and a script in place:
  
  -The script adds "PKI." in front of an account when it carries PKI.
  -ICP Mapping said export all to [NO PIC] except when the account starts with L -.
  -Logical accounts were created to duplicate each account "PIC".
  -The values of L-logic of these accounts are then exported to children [PKI entities].
  
  Needles to say this requires some maintenance since for each account that carries the PEAK values in a flat file, a new account of logic must be created and mapped.
  
  Any solution or suggestion how I can tweak FDM and formulate the set to the top of the dimension of HFM PKI? Or how can I minimize the maintenance? You'd be a great help!

  The ICP Mapping would be a passage of the card *--> [no PIC] and then a plan explicit for each Member of the L - xxx which creates the logical group.

  If your source in PKI members correspond to members of your target, you can also create a passage of the card for L-*--> * but you would need to name the rule something that starts with an alphabetic character that comes before the first alpha character in your pass card for [no PIC].

  I had an embarrassing long struggle with something like this where I finally discovered I have had during the first loading of load data into a single entity, then didn't charge anything for him the second. I kept tyring to understand why we always gave to the HFM entity after the second FDM load, but finally realized that I needed to load something in the entity to get it to clear. We were just chargement.01 in a single account. I hope that your situation is similar and easy to solve.

• Automate the Purge on HFM newspapers and the impact

  Some of our customers have their newspapers more considerable HFM, and is having a direct impact on the performance of HFM. I read that once the line count batteries beyoung 500 000 there is a degradation in performance. DB servers our MS SQL.

  I was wondering if there is anyway to automate the purge of the newspaper since the backend tables. I want to keep the last 90 days of logs and remove all the other stuff. Oracle is very vague on the subject, and I couldn't find good sources of documentation. My query is related 11.1.1 and more

  (1) automation of purge weekly or monthly will be beneficial?

  (2) how can I automate the purge of the DB on the tables?

  (3) is there an impact on HFM when the purge occurs?

  (4) is there an impact on the users/application if the application if it is open when the purge routine occurs?

  Appreciate any help/documentation regarding the reach this goal.

  Hello. Oracle is vague about what they don't know what databases are running on the hardware. I had a customer who does not see performance issues until their audit log data was approximately 80,000,000 records. Many people use a SQL process to archive off the coast and truncate tables. Others use the utility provided with HFM to do. Whatever it is, having a few months of online documents and then extract / truncating should be fine. Ideally users are not in the system, or at least not make data changes (loading, magazines, input, etc.).

  I FDM asks, but when I create an application, its name was not Set correctly. Now I want to Rename it. How to do? Is this possible?

  (A) choose to the FDM login form and connection

  (B) select the application, and then click on 'change '.

  (C) Note the path of the FDM application

  (D) click the database tab and note the information of database

  (E) click on 'Cancel' and then remove the application from the previous screen

  (F) search for the path of the application file and rename the folder of the application to the new application name

  (G) click on 'Add' and enter the new name for the app, the description, the path of the Application with the name of the new folder, choose the Group of applications "MDF".

  (H) click the database tab and re-enter the information of database.
