The font size in Photoshop looks totally different in the Web

Hello

I have a very strange problem. I'm using Photoshop CS6 now make some modifications to my Web site.

We use font type Arial size 12 points of the PSD file and also Arial size 12 points in the web. But in the web, the police seem to be much larger than in the psd file.

When save us the PSD to JPG format in the browser and compare it to the site fonts of the jpg looks well but they look much bigger in the web.

It seems that we must use 12px in the Web, so it will look even as 12pt to PSD.

But I am very confused by the present. How is that possible? Or what we're doing wrong?

Thank you

The web runs on pixels, not point. According to the font size of the browser by default, the system font sizes and factors 1 million type dynamically rendered in the browser can always different. Even assuming 72 dpi is not exactly true any longer because of the views high resolution and browsers using another logic internally. that and of course the CSS formatting on the web site can substitute some things as well... Complex issue with no easy answers. Generally, you can expect that it will look like the broad more to wait it looks under all conditions. So to get an idea of how make you some texts and don't mix too much with normal text image-based text.

It sounds like you using a screen resolution higher now then you have used in the past.  More to do with the display resolution and then the differences between the implementations of photoshop or PC and Mac operating systems.

There is no API to display something a size specific, given the display resolution.  The pixels are displayed on screens using native pixels of the screen.  The dpi of resolution of images is not used and the user interface has limited sizing options.  There are some versions of Photoshop Mac Mac support of retina and experimentation in photoshop Windows CC 2014 preferences.

Resolution DPI is pixel size of pixel density.  Views are executed at their a DPI of resolution. Poster have no support for various resolutions as printers do.

  • Increase font size in tools/options/content of breaks some Web pages.

After that I bought a flat screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution, the text was so low on most of the pages that I couldn't read. (Fonts currently fashionable 'Cannes squiggles' product does not help either.) Thus, under the menu Tools/options/content of Firefox, I placed the police to 18 and times new roman. That breaks certain features on some sites. Some sites appear totally broken so I close them and do not remember them. A few sites that I really want to watch, I have to use IE. I also have difficulty in downloading software on some sites that use a javascript to effect download application. These sites, I also use IE.

An example of a site that works well in any browser is http://www.amazon.com/ because they use the entire width of the screen, I guess.

I would be keeping the default size of 16 and instead use an add-on that will change the levels of zoom on all sites, for example:

  • Why the different font sizes when formatting, it's the same?

When I reply to a message in HTML (in HTML) text of type I is a different size than in the original message. The text of the original message is "body text, Arial, medium. If I format my answer exactly the same text, the font is smaller than the original. If I increase the font size, the police is larger than the original. Why text passages are not formatted in exactly in the same way, the same?

Thunderbird may be telling you, but he is average Arial. It's very probably Arial and a number in points or in pixels. Microsoft Outlook in particular spend an excessive amount of space on the specification of fonts (which are in fact not good in HTML)

  • Font size set to auto but sounds different when the data are populated compared to typed manually

I have a form where all the size of the font of fields is set to auto. When data are filled in the form in a custom program the font size appears different to the name and first name fields. When the same names are typed manually in the form (not filled in the custom program) the font size remains uniform. There is no coding in the personalized program to manipulate the fonts or the font settings. What could be the cause of the change in the appearance of the font size. Another interesting is that after the program fills in the data, I can click in the areas affected by this problem and the police will change to what it should be but set in the right size once I have quit the field. I also see that some fields when filled will not be characters fat even if the police is set to a bold font.

When a font of a field is set to Auto, Acrobat/Reader dynamically adjust the font size to match what is entered. When not using Acrobat/Reader to populate a field, it belongs to the program to properly set the font size based on the value of the field. Adobe does not publish any algorithm they use to determine the exact size (depending on the font used and the coordinates of field), so that a third party should use a better estimate (or not even trying at all), that looks like what is happening in your case. When you click within a field by using Acrobat/Reader, the font size is adjusted dynamically, but because the value of the field does not change, it is not defined when the field loses focus.

A possible solution would be to use JavaScript to record all the field values, reset the form and then fill in the form using the saved values, this would cause Acrobat correctly define the appearances of field.

Charcoal Grey, you will want to use the SCSS to generate CSS instead. (See; ( Layouts and RoboHelp screen profiles)

The selection you are looking for is: % TOC-Office-theme3

Add a font size to this item and it will scale you provide. (Use of measures of the MA for best results. The rest of the content also scales with the help of em.)

    Hello

You can change the font of the user interface of the options below.

    • On Windows, choose Edition > Preferences > Interface > font size:
    • On Mac OS, choose Lightroom > Preferences > Interface > font size:

Change font size according to your need.

You must close out of Lightroom and restart for the change to take effect.

Let us know if this helps!

  • Set different font sizes for certain parts of the text layer?

I am a novice as AE is going, but I'm working on a script to dynamically change a project.

The project in question has a text layer has a single string, but with variable font size (the text is a price, where the hundred part is a smaller font to the different initial values).   I want to use a script to change this text, but it is enough to assign a new text document does not retain the variable formatting - all figures are found with the same font size.

Since the guide of the script, I see that the size of the font of a text document object is available, but only in a very limited form - definition of value he sets for the entire document, without options to set for a range of characters.  I would be fair to assume that programmatically create/update a document with several sizes of fonts is not possible?

If this is the case, what would be my best options to achieve the same effect?  If the project is modified to have several layers/documents, is there a way to adjust the positioning to maintain good spacing/kerning between independent channels?  (I'm also a dollar with yet another sign size of police prior to the price, so I would have actually three pieces of text to position in my script and just to the right/left cannot justify two strings).

    Thanks for the tips!

AFAIK, there isn't a convenient way for a script to maintain several font sizes once it changes a text document.

You can however, use sourceRectAtTime() to get the actual span of text in a text layer, positioning and three text layers to get the desired spacing is not difficult.
