font size of photoshop cs4 Win7

I reluctantly, recently transferred to Win7.  Fonts, rulers, screen images etc. in Photoshop CS4 (and Dreamweaver) are significantly reduced.  Leaders and site policies are the size of the toenails of the mouse - so VERY hard to read.  While the search for a solution, I noticed this complaint on several sites and read there no solution because Adobe refuses to comply with the standards of Win7.  Anyone know if this is true?  If this is not the case, how to adjust the dimensions?  There is nothing in the preferences that addresses the problem and Adobe 'aid' is not much of a...

It sounds like you using a screen resolution higher now then you have used in the past.  More to do with the display resolution and then the differences between the implementations of photoshop or PC and Mac operating systems.

There is no API to display something a size specific, given the display resolution.  The pixels are displayed on screens using native pixels of the screen.  The dpi of resolution of images is not used and the user interface has limited sizing options.  There are some versions of Photoshop Mac Mac support of retina and experimentation in photoshop Windows CC 2014 preferences.

Resolution DPI is pixel size of pixel density.  Views are executed at their a DPI of resolution. Poster have no support for various resolutions as printers do.

  • The font size in Photoshop looks totally different in the Web

    Hello

I have a very strange problem. I'm using Photoshop CS6 now make some modifications to my Web site.

We use font type Arial size 12 points of the PSD file and also Arial size 12 points in the web. But in the web, the police seem to be much larger than in the psd file.

When save us the PSD to JPG format in the browser and compare it to the site fonts of the jpg looks well but they look much bigger in the web.

It seems that we must use 12px in the Web, so it will look even as 12pt to PSD.

But I am very confused by the present. How is that possible? Or what we're doing wrong?

    Thank you

The web runs on pixels, not point. According to the font size of the browser by default, the system font sizes and factors 1 million type dynamically rendered in the browser can always different. Even assuming 72 dpi is not exactly true any longer because of the views high resolution and browsers using another logic internally. that and of course the CSS formatting on the web site can substitute some things as well... Complex issue with no easy answers. Generally, you can expect that it will look like the broad more to wait it looks under all conditions. So to get an idea of how make you some texts and don't mix too much with normal text image-based text.

  • Sizing in Photoshop CS4

If I want my final picture to print 24 x 36 ", when editing in Photoshop I resize this size or leave as is and ask the company that prints the photo to migrate to 24 x 36? Thanks for any help on this!

    Hi, ishootnikon.

If you want to print 24 x 36 printing company, I have edit at this size, or large. You can include bleed, as well. You probably don't want playing them too with your files.

If you the photo isn't already that size, in Photoshop CS4, you can set your crop tool to 24 "x 36" to crop the picture exactly how you want. (I'd go a little bigger to include a full-bleed, 24.5 "x 36.5).

Thank you, this is the correct solution-

Place the cursor where you want to that rule - in the Panel properties ensure that css is enabled - select the menu drop-down where it says 'targeted rule' - select 'new rule' - new style online, then continue as needed.

  • Why zoom in Windows 7 has also changed the font size in Firefox?

I have win7 and I tried to change the size of the text/icon from windows to 125%. It has also affected everything in firefox (text tabs, bar etc, not the text on the pages you want to change by pressing ctrl + / address). I changed it to 100% and everything became really tiny. How can I make standard size any zoom that I use in windows itself.

Have you had experience of this kind of problem before?

    Sincerely
    Antti

    You can try this:

    1. Open the properties of the desktop Firefox shortcut (right click: properties)
    2. Go to the Compatibility tab
    3. Make a mark before "Disable display timing of high DPI settings" to see if this has the effect.

You can use an extension to set a page zoom and the size of the default font on the web pages.

    Use for the user interface:

  • font sizes changed on the scope

When I copied my code, written in LV2011, on my scope, Tek DSA8300, all of a sudden all the fonts passed under 15 pt to pt 23. This makes just enough bad sound.

I understand why a scope uses large fonts, because the screen is small. However, I use an external monitor, so I really need the 'help '.

Is there something in my code (which I inherited) that requests from the computer it runs of a default font size? Can I turn that off?

    Thank you.

I had to load LV2011 on the scope. It runs from Win7.

It turns out that I can change the fonts in LV by > tools > Options > environment and deselecting the default fonts. But it's weird that the default fonts changed.

  • Menu and other font sizes too small

I am running Windows 8 on a Dell XPS 13 ". For some reason, some, but not all, of the text is small enough to be practically illegible. It was not a problem until now, when I'm trying to run Studio Android.

As you can see on the image as an attachment, the text in the console is a good 3 to 4 percentage points smaller than the text of the menu and almost impossible to read on a screen size of 13 ". The same applies to the icons, they are absolutely tiny. I tried to adjust the screen resolution and the parameters "Change only the size of the text", but they do nothing. Anyone has an idea why this happens and what can be done to remedy this? I bought this laptop specifically to learn how to write code, and if I can't do it then, it was a waste of money.

UPDATE: I think it has something to do with running applications in mode "64 bit". I have a copy of Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop CS5. Photoshop is 64-bit, and menu fonts are tiny. Illustrator is NOT 64-bit (I guess that means it's 32-bit) and the fonts in the menu there are fine. I don't know the exact implications, but I think that has got to be a factor.

Of after your description and decide on the appearance of your screenshot, it seems to me that the application you are using is not "up-to-date in high resolution.  He doesn't know how to intensify text/assets to display on your screen at high resolution.

    You can read here: http://cmdrkeene.com/dpi-scaling-with-multi-monitor

This is for a related topic, but it has the background on the origin of the error.

Ppp settings if you want to experiment and find what works best for you, is here:

Right click Desktop > resolution > text do and other Items larger or smaller (link down)

It is clear to me from your screenshot that the interface of the program is expanded (tabs/menus), so it seems that your bet at the current DPI scale has the value probably of 125% or 150%.  But the program itself is not enforced across the inner text (code).  This means that the program does not understand how to use screens high definition, so that you are able to either bump to the top of the font size, the program uses, or lower your DPI so that your fonts are at least consistent (using 100%).

  • AppleScript to resize images in Photoshop CS4 will not work in CS6 - help!

    Hi people.

I am new to this lark script and hope someone can help...

Our Nigel, unfortunately is no longer with us, wrote a cunning to convert script photographs large size smaller using Photoshop CS4.

    The workflow is the following:

    You open Photoshop

You have two files, one with the original files and the other which is empty.

You drag the folder with the original files on the .app and he asks a destination folder (tell you him to use the empty folder).

The images are then opened one by one, resized, some tape removed and are then registered to the empty folder (formerly).

    Lovely jubbly.

The problem is when you try to use this app with Photoshop CS6 - it fails at the point of backup files in the new folder which gives this error:

Adobe Photoshop CS6 has been an error: "unable to get document"075.jpg". (- 1728)

I fiddled with the script a little and it seems don't not like the section "with options" command 'Save document' (it works fine if I completely remove the fuse "with options" - but I need than LZW compression).  I have trawled through a few similar questions on these forums, but have not been able to track down the problem. It probably doesn't help that I'm not a programmer (just try to translate as I oppose using the Photoshop CS6 AppleScript reference guide).

Did everyone there knows the problem please?

    The script is below.

    on Open ()pourla)

set theDestination of (choose folder with guest 'set the destination for the files processed...) ") as text

    tell application "Finder"

    set isContainer to fake

set theItem to agenda 1 of pourla as string

set list of files to files of all of the content of agenda 1 of pourla

    on the other

set list of files to pourla

    end if

Repeat with x in list of files

set Dittos to x as texte

set theFileName to name of x as texte

set outFilePath to theDestination & theFileName

if theFileName ends by ".db" then

    tell application "Adobe Photoshop CS6"

-I was skilled enough change the foregoing of "Adobe Photoshop CS4".

set units of the rule of parameters to units of mm

      Open alias theFile

set theWidth to width of document theFileName

set theHeight to height of document theFileName

    if theWidth > theHeight then

Resize image document theFileName width 65 resolution 400 resample method bicubic

    on the other

Resize image document theFileName height 65 resolution 400 resample method bicubic

    end if

convert document theFileName profile ' Coated FOGRA39 (ISO 12647-2: 2004) " intent perceptive with blackpoint compensation without dithering .

    { adjust layer of art 'History' of the document theFileName with curves with options { }class:curves points of the curve: {{0, 0}, {128, 128}, {243, 255}}}

{ Save document theFileName in outFilePath like TIFF adding tiny extension with options { }byte order:Mac OS embed the color profile:fake image compression:LZW} without copy

    close document 1 saving no

  • Analysis of a psd for the font size.

I am currently scanning the PSD files. I use imagick for pixelated layers, but I need to get the font data for layers of fonts from imagick can do I need to do it myself. Right now I'm able to grab text, font family, font color, but not the size of the police.

There are some ' / FontSize xx.xxx ' in the PSD but usually not of them are suitable:

    • In some PSD files all font sizes caught here are disabled by the same scale factor.
    • In some layers of different PSD files is distinguished by the same scale factor.
    • In some files PSD, all sizes are correct.

Adobe provides specifications for the PSD file format, but these are outdated and incomplete, they don't even mention the size of the font.

I tried to use a copy of the same file just change the font size, but does not.

Is there someone who have already done this or ideas pointing me in the right direction?

Check out the forum script Photoshop there was some discussion on the scripts of text layers.
