  When I create a graduated filter I can't drag the filter PIN to change the center point, when I ride my pointer over the PIN that turns into a hand tool that drags the whole filter instead, if I approach one of the lines which is transformed in a rotation tool. Also the graduated filter tool is extremely slow and boring, it's slow it's hard to position accurately.

  You are right. The central axis move move the entire filter. In my view, that it is supposed to do.

  When you approach a line, you should get a + cursor which makes rotation. But when your cursor is on a line, it should change to a hand cursor that comes of moves in a straight line and not running. It seems that you do not get the hand cursor? With the hand cursor, it should be more accurate.

  A few suggestions

  Try to disable the GPU in preferences > performance.

  For filters, try to press O to see if it's the mask you are viewing rather than adjustments.

  In addition, another reason, that you do not see it could be that the toolbar is not displayed. The toolbar display switch is to press the letter T.

  You do not use the graduated filter to adjust the entire image, you use the BASE Panel.  Now, I noticed in your clip to screen your BASE Panel is missing, as the TONE CURVE Panel is the first listed.  To get your BASE right click on back panel header of the TONE CURVE and the menu drop down next appears, so that you can re - turn on the BASE Panel.  This is another long term glitch/bug in Lightroom that is probably hard to track down anyone found a repetitive sequence why signs accidentally goes off.

  Select all images, ensuring that you are in the develop module. Auto-Sync lights up and then just delete the graduated filter. You will need to activate the graduated filter tool and click on the PIN for the filter you have defined and then press the delete key. Then, you want to disable automatic synchronization. Now, just highlight the image you want to add the graduated filter and do your thing with her.

• Graduated filter blending mode

  The adjustments that you program in the progressive filter have the greatest effect at the beginning of your selection and decreases gradually throughout the area covered by the progressive filter. If you have areas that are too dark, you can use a brush that is selectable from the progressive filter Panel to erase or lighten the effects in specific areas.

  

  As shown here, the brush with the "-" is selected which means the brush will remove the effect of the brushed area. You can set the bit rate so that as you brush it only partially removes the effect.

• Graduated filter - outside of the lines...

  When I apply a filter graduated in the middle of the picture - for example, I want to clear up the middle part of a landscape of exposure setting. I apply the filter and adjust exposure, but adaptation applies since the middle of the filter to the top of the picture: it is not limited at the top and bottom of the graduated filter.  It's in Lightroom 2015.6 version and this behavior I don't remember doing so earlier. I tried to 'reset' varios presets to see if I'd put something inadvertently, but nothing has changed that.

  The gradient filter has no options to do what you want (like Photoshop), but there are other suggestions.

  Note: If you click on the brush once, move the slider, hold the [SHIFT] key, click the brush a second time - you will get a straight brush of the beginning of locations at the ends.

  

  2. the Radial filter can be extended beyond the borders of the image and appropriately adjusted with sliders and the feather.

  

  3. did you know that the gradient filter tool can act as a 'Global' adjustment to the entire image and repeatedly!

  Just start the Gradient outside the image and drag it far more away from the image.

  First question in the forum, could not find any relevant messages to my problem...

  Windows 7 64 bit family Premium Edition 2009

  LR 4.4

  Try to improve the images using the graduated filter.

  Graduated filter settings box appears and I can move the sliders, but there is no way to select the area of the image to apply the filters. On the pages of tutorial, I see a selection box rectangle next to the word color in the menu of graduated, filter settings on my version of LR, this box is missing.

  When I move the cursor over the image with the GF menu open, I get the cross cursor, but when I click on the image goes completely gray (disappears) and I have to load an image duplicated library.

  I downloaded the latest version of the LR4 and reinstalled, but the problem persists.

  I disabled my accelerations of improvements and NVIDIA graphics cards.

  Any help greatly appreciated - I am really frustrated with this problem and have searched for a solution for a few weeks now.

  Here is a screenshot of what looks like my LR with the graduated filter active (my elipse showing where the rectangle box is supposed to be)...

  Another couple of things you can try:

  1. in the graduated filter Panel, click on "Custom" for the dropdown menu, select restore the default Presets.   Then again click Customize and select color.  I get a box of dark blue color.

  2. double-click on the label of 'Color' to the left of the where the box should be.  Normally, clicking on the label (for example an exhibition) it reverts to its default value.

  The assumption here is that, somehow, the current custom settings for color has an invalid value 'poison' that causes LR to travel upward.

• LR 6 brush, radial & graduated filters tools no longer work

  In LR6 (using windows 7) these 3 tools work more (brush, radial & graduated filters); they only spread a yellowish color, on the spot, and all orders (for example, sharpness, contrast, exposure, etc.) are not active. The only change I think, is that I tried the new feature of the brush inside the graduated filter (it worked). Thanks for your help.
