The guard creating Explorer new tabs windows every time I click on a link

The new tab is created but there is no information in there - it's empty.  This becomes quite annoying if you are in an internet session extended.  any ideas how to fix?

Try -> to tools: Internet Options, and then click parameters next of tabs. At the bottom of the settings screen, you should see "restore to default". Click that, and then restart Internet Explorer.

If this does not help, let me know.

Your update of Feb. 01, 2012 has ruined the firefox I knew.
It opens new windows and I can't stop it.
It is no longer open tabs I had open when I closed it, causes me a lot of work.

It ignores the settings I have in the options, and quite frankly, if it ignores the basic parameters, I have to wonder how safe it really is now...

You should reverse this update and review what you did... I hate this new version, and I will be uninstalling.

    What did you think?

Update here: I spent some time restart FF in safe mode and turning my extensions on one at a time. I realized that the add-on "Disconnect from Facebook" was causing problems mentioned above. Once I disabled this extension, my browser back to normal. I don't know if other extensions are causing this problem, but this troubleshooting method worked for me.

PS - I returned to disconnect from Facebook and manually updated, and now it works well.

  • Bookmarks on the toolbar create new tab/window even if is selected in the preferences to do so.

Even if I have the box "open new windows in a new tab instead" checked, when I click on one of the links in my Bookmarks Toolbar, it will open in a new tab window. I clicked several bookmarks in the toolbar, and it happens on each of them.

Also, when I click on the different links to different AppleMails, it opens a new tab/window.

How can I get links in my toolbar to recognize the preference chosen to make a new tab/window?

The setting in tools > Options > tabs: "new pages should be opened in ': 'a new tab/window' is for links that specify a target window to open the link.

This option allows to divert these links into a new tab instead of a new window.

For links that do not specify a target, use a middle click or hold down the Ctrl key and click the link or use the context menu to open the link in a new tab or window.

  • Double click on the arrow to the left on the tab bar creates a new tab at the end of the right hand.

With Firefox 29.0.1 by double clicking on the arrows on the right in the tab bar or the left creates a new tab at the end of the right hand of the tab bar. It is embarrassing behavior that violates standards around UI design click and double-click. A double-click should extend the behavior of the single click rather than do something completely different (opening a new tab). An example would be, in a Word, a single click selects a Word, double click selects the sentence and a triple click selects the paragraph. Note that this is a separate issue from double click the tab bar itself to create a new tab.

When there are more tabs on the tabs in the window toolbar, that highlight the tabs on the side will not hold show tab in use. I can click on the left and right arrows at the end of the tab bar to scroll the bar in this sense to bring a tab I want to select in the display. I believe that the double click on the arrow to the left would scroll the bar completely to the right, exposing the tab on the left Double click on the right arrow would scroll the bar left entirely exposing the rightmost tab.

It is a logical extension and expected behavior of single click. Single click - scroll once (seems to be the value of the tab in three), double-click on - scroll all the way.

For now, if I want to access the tab on the left, I have to click the arrow slowly and carefully until I get to it. I used only one quick click on the arrow to the left until that shponkah stop scrolling without having to count how many clicks. It is possible that my simple quick clicks were actually double-click. However, the bar tabs would stop scrolling when it reaches the end.

Now, the behavior is really annoying and unexpected. Double click on left dead entirely right tabs completely left arrow and creates a new tab at the end of the right hand. Ditto the arrow right in the opposite direction.

While I can (maybe) see that the value of a double click on the tab bar itself to create a new tab, double click on one of the scroll arrows should show a new tab.

Double click on the arrows of the tab should scroll the tab fully for this purpose bar. If the tab bar is already entirely Scrolls towards ending extra clicks (single, double and triple...) should be ignored.

I like the idea of opening a new tab to the right of the one that has the focus. This should be an option of the contextual right click menu.

That should not occur if you click the scroll buttons in the tab bar.
A double-click should act as page up/down and move a full screen and a triple click should move to the left (first tab) or the right (last) until now tab.

    Try

  • make the link open in new tab/window?

I'm fairly new to dreamweaver (just started the construction of Web site this year, only go to him, all two days) and now I believe that I have already learned a little. I already know how to use spry, effectively, that I believe that no one else in the class don't. There is something I want to learn, but I have not found how do. I want to make sure when you click on a link, it will open this page in a new tab / new window so that you will not redirrected outside the site. Can I just get a simple answer how to do this? As I may add something in the code as:

    < div id = "fullsize" > < a href = 'link here' > < strong password > CIHI < facilities > < /a > < / div >

    I would do something like:

    < div id = "fullsize" > < an openinnewtab href = "link here" > < strong password > CIHI < facilities > < /a > < / div >

I know do not "openinnewtab" but I say just as would have put something in the code to open in a new tab?

Apply a target of your link

    target = "_blank".

  • Update Firefox 27 loses my tabs in history, remembers the favicons but displays 'new tab' and displays a blank page when you click on. In addition, skin tightening

It's getting really boring I've barely recovered since the different and boring bugs in V26. I have disabled the automatic update as I'm hacked off the coast on ff not start correctly and crashing can quit smoking after every single update.

Such a bug which appeared around V26 was that a website (http://www.thecourier.co.uk/) blocking firefox. Just this site and just on my Mac and only on firefox. I can't reproduce the error on WinXP, Ubuntu or the computer of someone I know with the same version. the site blocks firefox without active plugins or addons, and this is what made me install NoScript first - that is, to block a JQuery? a script that was the cause of the crash.

    V27 bugs:
Update Firefox 27 is to lose my tabs in the history after a restart, he remembers the favicons but displays 'new tab' in each and shows a blank page if clicked, thus freeing the favicon and history etc. There is nothing in the windows recently closed, etc..

also, when of each restart my skin (Cotton Candy Swirl) is not displayed correctly: the title bar appears in gray Apple Mac and the lower bar shows pink massif.

When Firefox I: > > quitting smoking, it crashes (as can be shown in the details of the Mac error report). This forces me to open the Task Manager and the strength to quit smoking.

lose my history tabs after a reboot.

    > What are the preferences of the history in your options menu?

'new tab' in each and shows blank page if clicked, thus freeing the favicon and history etc. There is nothing in recently closed windows etc.

-> by default, the tabs do not load until they are clicked on, this can be changed in the menu options on the tab.
-> in the recently closed window menu there are the features that should be lit to make it work:
Go to about: config and check these settings
type: sessionstore and right-click-> reset everything is bold, especially the browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo and the browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo.

If it repeats, try Safe Mode to ensure that it is not a plug-in that affect this and issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode

  • Is there a way to disable the function where firefox opens a new tab when you scroll a click in the header bar?

Is there a way to disable the function where firefox opens a new tab when you scroll a click in the header bar? This feature in conflict with my program of multiple monitors (display fusion) since this program allows you to change your current active window the monitor 1 monitor 2 and vice versa BY clicking the header of BAR SCROLLING (or whatever you call the highest part of your window). With firefox, I can't easily change my active window between monitors because instead, it opens a new tab.

If the window is maximized, you can then switch this pref to disable the display of the tabs in the title bar:

    • browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar = false

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • Why are there only 2 tiles on my new tab window, there were 9?

It doesn't seem to be the options to add additional tiles to the new tab window and when I drag a site marked with a bookmark to the window, he don't just stand there, he just opened the site

    Hello

With the last update of Firefox, the number of tiles is now determined on the size of the screen - if zoom you or enlarge the window, you can have several tiles appear.

If you want to set a fixed number of tiles, I believe you can do it with the following extensions:

You can also see jscher2000's Solution here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1025414
It requires the add-on from the elegant but will decrease automatically the tiles on the page:
