  • Satellite L50 - A - headset volume is too low

    Windows 64-bit of 8.1

The volume is too low when using a headset. I tried headphones and two different types of headphones on ear, both with no result. Office volume is set to maximum, as is iTunes and VLC.
I also DTS enabled, which has stimulated a little volume, but it is still too quiet.

Google search suggested the so-called "Compensation of volume" (playback devices > properties > improvements > Loudness equalization), which seems to be the generally accepted the problem solution, but that has not helped me at all.

I am a student in music that makes a fair bit of audio processing for the good sound is important to me and it makes me crazy, does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank you

Eh, it's really hard to tell what the problem is here. As far as I know there is not much difference in how he works with internal or connected speakers earphones/headphones.

I have two Toshiba laptops and there is absolutely no any kind of difference. When I change the sound level, it reacts as usual, regardless if headphones are connected or not.
When you start some application open the volume mixer and check if the noise level is identical with a sound level for the speaker.

  • The volume is too low on my Satellite L20

First of all sorry for my bad English...

I just bought a Satellite L20 and I am very disappointed by the volume of the speakers... I read several other post with people complaining of the same issue.
It is almost impossible to watch a movie being able to catch all the words! The problem remains when you connect earphones.
I already checked that al volumes are at the maximum level (Control Panel, hardware, player windows media, powerdvd etc.).
I am very angry with this as I often watch movies and listen to music, but the volume is really low...
    Is there something to do?

    Hi arch

My colleague has Satellite Pro L20 (same as Satellite L20). I saw this camera and the sound quality is not the best. I agree with you that the sound is not loud, especially in writing, because the hands cover the speakers.

If you check other notebook series speakers are, as a rule, placed close to the screen. In my opinion, it is much better solution. In any case the Satellite L20 is unit low budget and the focus was not multimedia surgraves just. So that the camera is very good and the price is right.

Personally, I want to have the multimedia unit, but these units are much more expensive. Unfortunately, you have to live with it. In any case, I hope that you will reach all day on your device and there is no other serious problems.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite A100-532: the microphone volume is extremely low

I just bought Satellite A100-532 and I have a problem with the audio input. I can't use the microphone to chat with my friend on msn or even record my voice on the hard drive because the volume is extremely low.

I tried to turn the volume on the desktop and on the RealTek HD audio Manager, but nothing helped. Microphone works perfectly fine, as I hear myself on the speakers.

Normally, with my old laptop (M30 series) I could use sound recorder to record the music that I play using Winamp or WinMediaPlayer, but for this new laptop it detects all the sounds at all... just silence.

    Please notify.

    Hello

You should also check the volume controls in the "Audio & Sound devices" in the Panel.
In the 'Volume' tab it please go to "Advanced".
Then a "Volume control" should appear.
Check if all controls are set at a high level.
In addition, enter the 'options' and 'properties' and activate all volume controls.
Also change to "recording" and activate here also all the controls.
Additional you must check if the "check" is set to high.

Use the 'Advanced' mic option and play with thrust mic settings.
I'm sure that you will find the best settings for your mic record

  • The microphone volume is very low on a Dell inspiron 13 7348 with Windows 10

On my new Dell inspiron 13 7348 the microphone volume so low that my Skype partners can barely hear me. I checked all the settings in Skype and software audio dell and I updated all drivers... without success

Connect a microphone extermal solves the problem, however, I prefer to not always have an additional microphone with me!

Has anyone found a way to increase the volume of the microphone?

Since an external device works well I'm afraid that the build-in microphone is actually of minor quality... what a disappointment

So far, nothing has changed. I continue to go all my encounters with my laptop and this webcam with microphone build - in which I used the last in 2005... It's ridiculous... Don't know how many times I have had to explain to my colleagues why I use this external microphone... BTW, their Skype works well on non Dell computers with Windows 10 so I guess it's a problem that only affects users of Dell...

As I said before, it's a big disappointment, and in the future I will avoid Dell products.

  • Volume is too low and completely devoid of bass

I have a HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC (product number: E1P13AV) with Beats audio which has been updated to 10 Windows Windows 8.1, and my main problem is that the max volume on my laptop is severely lacking.  I can't say with certainty when this volume problem started, but I don't think it's that way when I bought it, nor when I first upgraded for Windows 10.

I have a smaller, "non-Beats" Elitebook who puts her more to just 50 percent in volume and this machine at 100% and my Samsung GS5 seems to put just as much sound (and better base) that this laptop currently does.

I saw a variety of message board posts associated with her messing around with the properties of speakers and activating / deactivating the Bass Boost, Virtual Sound and Loudness equalization, but none of these options seem to have no measurable effect.

When you search the computer "Beats", there is no results, and I can't see any reference in the Panel. Is it possible that the Beats got off or the volume is being strangled somewhere else in the system? The situation is unsatisfactory, and I'm very interested in getting this fixed. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  • How to install old firmware? The volume is too low!

I bought a rocket about 2 months ago, very happy with it when I bought it. He had the Firmware 1.00000000000000001 or something on it (an old anyway). I installed the new firmware 1.02.3F.

The first thing I noticed: volume max came down. MASSIVELY.

His way now too quiet, too quiet for car trips or train. I don't understand why it is not more discussion about this, its criminal. The EU removed ruin fun for everyone with their legislation deleted.

Anyway, nobody knows where I could find an old firmware which is not the volume cap and how to install it? I would be a happy Bunny.

P.S. tell me to buy a better helmet, I already have!

You need not install old Firmware. Simply reset to the factory settings and to set the region at the "rest of the world', then you get a 'volume' option in Control Panel that you can set to high.

  • Too low maximum volume in Windows 7

I have upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows XP a few days ago, and the maximum volume is too low. All the settings are up, everything is correctly connected, all the drivers are up to date and Loudness equalization makes no difference. My software for speakers (Realtek HD Audio Manager) is not all the options that are not included in Windows 7 already. In Windows XP, I've been able to overcome that obstacle by adjusting the volume of wave, is there a way to do this at 7, or another way to increase the max volume?

    Hello

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

    Method 1:

Check volume settings. Follow these steps:

    a. right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, then select volume control options.

    b. put a check mark on "all devices evolving sound.

    c. make sure you have "Default uncontrolled communication device".

    d. place a check on the speakers.

    Method 2:

Open the troubleshooting of Audio playback and check if the problem occurs:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-playing-audio-Troubleshooter

    Method 3:

If the previous step fails, follow the steps in the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/tips-for-fixing-common-sound-problems

    Method 4:

I understand that you have already tried updating the drivers, please to uninstall and reinstall the audio drivers completely as follows:

    a. click Start, type Device Manager in the Start Search box and press ENTER.

    b. click continue. The Device Manager dialog box appears.

    c. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.

    d. in r management device, right click on audio and its driver and click on uninstall.

    e. restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall the audio drivers automatically.

You can also download and install the latest Realtek driver site:

  • The volume on my MP3 player is too low after extraction and synchronization with windows media player. What can I do?

I intend to play my MP3 in my car, but the volume is too low. I tried to adjust the volume on the car radio and the MP3 player, but the volume is still too low. I tore and synchronized through windows media player with MP3 and the speed of transmission of high-quality files. Also I tried to drag and drop in windows Explorer, but once again the volume is still too low.

I tried also exactly the same with an IPOD shuffle, but again, the volume is too low.

  • the much too high Headphone volume

I have a problem with accuracy M6800. The volume of the headphones is much too strong. I listen to ticks maybe one or 2 on the volume buttons. I need to go into the control of specific volume of application for adjustment end very annoying!

I tried to get it all out there, and the only one that works is the LEVELER of MAXX = midnight setting.  But if you remove the earphones and want to listen through the laptop speakers, that she is not strong enough... Therefore, we must return to this dell audio control panel.

The other problem is when you listen through speakers at a normal level to 50 percent in volume and you put on your helmet and plug them.  That's where the eardrums are get damaged physically. There are regulations on the helmet of the output levels, and worth well above it. So I see this as a danger to health and safety.

I think that I have when I turn the volume to 100%, the headset will go up in smoke.  There must be a bug in driver/application in this popup window that opens when plug you something into the headphone jack. Perhaps it needs line of levels of output for headphones or something.

Hello. You can try a different audio driver.

The most recent is Realtek 6.0.1.5988 (Win 7, 8, 8.1). The notes for this one says that this version shows more pop-up message when the headphone is plugged or removed.

The oldest is Realtek 6.0.1.5969 (Win 7 and 8).

Those are the only Realtek drivers Dell offers for your model. You can also get a driver directly from Realtek website.

Another driver, you can try is the native Windows driver. To install the native driver, remove all Realtek audio drivers. Open Device Manager and expand the sound controllers section. Right click on the Realtek, and select uninstall. Put a checkmark in the delete files option and then ok. When you restart, Windows either will install its own native driver or a Realtek driver if there was other versions on the hard drive. Then go back to Device Manager and look for a Realtek driver. Keep the uninstall & reboot until Realtek no longer appears under controllers, noise and "High definition Audio Device" appears in its place.

Note that if you want to install a Realtek driver on a newer version of one, you must first completely remove the most recent one using the instructions above.

If you don't get the results you want then consider getting a less effective helmet or an attenuator of the headphone volume. I have been using it for a year.

  • Sound from external speakers too low

Original title: Windows 7 - sound too low external speakers

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L70-1 DR with Logitech speakers.  There is no roulette volume on this laptop.  A few months back the volume of the speakers slightly reduced.  I just increased the main volume and that of each player (Itunes, Spotify etc) to sort.  Then a few weeks ago the noise decreased again.  First of all, I plugged in my speakers to my daughter's laptop computer and they worked very well.  Then I made sure that the levels of the speakers in speaker properties has been increased to 100 and I have also increased the equalizer in Windows Media Player.  This worked well even though I was a little concerned why it was happening.  However yesterday, its got even lower and then its listenable, if you sit next to the laptop its way too low compared to what you would expect reasonably.  The noise level when I plug my headphones is very well.

I went through the troubleshooting procedure described in other posts, nothing helps.  I reinstalled the sound drivers - no change. I tried different improvements in switching in speaker properties - deactivation of all works of improvements, better but not good enough! And I've changed in exclusive mode on and outside, but no change.
There can someone provide other tips?  Thanks a lot :)
    John
Thanks for that - but I managed to solve this problem by removing the speakers, fiddling and putting them back together... Sorry if I wasted your time!
