  Hello, I bought the controller the year last of the Thailand, and I currently live in Bangladesh. It was greater at all times and served me well until today, it started acting weird, all of a sudden.
  It is not a problem of driver for it, but it must be done with the controller itself. See, when the wire is same slightly shifted, the controller disconnects. It's probably something wrong with the wire, correct? But, what do I do now? I can't play anything or use the controller.   1. open Control Panel
  2. open 'display devices and printers '.
  3. right click on 'unknown device '.
  4. click on properties
  5. click on hardware
  6. click on properties
  7. click on change settings
  8. click on the driver
  9. click on set to update driver
  10. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
  11. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
  12 double-click on Microsoft common controllers
  13. click twice on "receiver wireless Xbox 360 for Windows Version: 2.1.0.1349 [2009-08-13].
  (or click on the latest version of the wireless receiver driver)
  14. click on Yes

  Ideas:

  • I can't using a wired Xbox 360 controller as a joystick for the origins of felons game.
  • I looked online for a solution and close using joy to key. I could map each button and it was totally functional, but I was still unable to turn or to consider, if I could walk because I had mapped the left analog stick for market controls. I tried to change the settings for the joystick in the game, but they are not what I noticed at all.
  • the game recognize at least some controller, when the mapping in the keyboard settings, it recognizes the buttons, but not the triggers or the analog sticks.
  • I tried to update my drivers, I tried different usbs and always made sure that it was connected, all of the simple things.
  • I really want to play this game, and I'll be really disappointed if I have to use the keyboard and the mouse to do it, I'm not comfortable at all to aid in a fps game.

  but in fact I ended up understanding.

  apparently my controller was defaulting to an old driver or the wrong driver or something, so the game incorrectly recognizes it. at least partially wrong.

  the old, updated, deleted totally worked! for the most part, had yet to use joy to key to map triggers, and the d - pad is recognized as a button, instead of four separate.

  I got it to work! Let your controller xbox 360 pluged and try this: If you have installed MotionJoy uninstall it! Go to device under something Manager as common joystick right click on properties, then click on uninstall and if prompt to uninstall the software, or remove the software click Yes. Peek under devices of human interface in right to do this, click on each of them you see peripheral HID-compliant and USB input device and click on uninstall the device for EACH Manager. Yes, your keyboard mouse will not work for a few seconds but this will ensure that you uninstall it * controller device drivers. After you have uninstalled these elements unplug your Xbox 360 controller now to get the latest drivers MS site for controller xbox 360 and install the drivers FIRST before connecting the Controller and make sure you click on finish on the program before plugging it in.
