The HP health check

Hello I have a6255.it of desktop pavilion with windows vista home premium 32 bit. What command HP Health Check scan does not start. What should I do? Thank you

Hello alba.

Three hours seems like it takes too much time. You can try restarting your computer and run the program again to see if she's faster going through.

Times may vary depending on the system, but I didn't know who take long before.

  • Exclusion of a domain in the dashboard health check

    Greetings,

I'm sure I know the answer to that, but I'll ask anyway just to be sure.

Is it possible to exclude a domain of the health check on the dashboard of the vmware view Administrator page?

We have a trust with another "company" that controls its own pub and the firewall between our two companies. Trust is necessary for some other software, but he screwed pretty tightly closed for other things.

In the dashboard, I get an error notice from that domain, which reads:

"The trust relationship could not be determined."

"Error detected domain status. Administrator display is unable to perform operations related to the field. »

Is it possible to exclude this area of the health check? If this is not possible, what are the rights Administrator display should let this review will become Green?

    Kind regards

    Bram

For my environment having a field filter to exclude of the trusted domain also excluded it health scorecard system. Assuming that you don't need this area as an option for anything display related, take a look at the command vdmadmin and configuration of a domain filter, http://pubs.vmware.com/view-51/topic/com.vmware.view.administration.doc/GUID-582DCABE-A944-4808-9708-E415A0ACFF7F.html.

  • SELECT * FROM DUAL-> Can this statement to make the quick health check?

We have a product that will "SELECT * FROM DUAL" every 5 minutes. If there is no response, it sends an incident.

    My question is:-

DUAL is a magic table in Oracle. So, without access to an actual table in oracle, can we take out of this statement
before report us any problem on a database? In other words, this statement could be successful, but what are the chances
that a query on a real table can fail due to limited resources?

    Thank you

Some sites on the internet suggest to get rid of this warning by setting these two keys, the default value 0, but they already are.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\AppInit_DLLs HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\AppInit_DLL

There is nothing in the 'Data' column for these two registry keys. And there is no list of DLLS.  The string in the warning count is 0, so I don't really know what is the cause.

    *****

I searched my drive C: for what any change to the date and time that this warning for the first time. All have been linked to HP Health Check.

There are two components in C:\Program Files (86) \Hewlet-Packard\HP Health Check\Active Check\objects that have been modified on 16/09/2014 05:31. One was named issuelist.xml and the other XML file Config.INI.

    There are 494 items modified on 16/09/2014 14:19, all the in C:\Program Files (86) \Hewlet-Packard\HP Health Check\Guid

The first Wininit WARNING event ID 11 logged at 16/09/2014 14:37:12. And it records now whenever I start my computer.

    *****

These changes do not come with HP Support Assistant. Was not asked to download and install updates.  These files have been changed without my knowledge.  I did know about this until I picked up everything that has changed which could hold account of the warning I get now.

    *****

Anyone know how to stop this warning event ID 11 registered Wininit whenever I start my computer? Someone else had changes in the HP health check recently?  Has anyone else noticed this warning of Wininit event ID 11 their recent event viewer?

Thanks for any help and information,

    Old_geekster,

I know that this is your best advice but I really don't want to go there. Up is simple, get the programs and files on the computer; not so much.  And then there of all the bloatware to get rid again.

Several sites indicate that this is not a problem, even if there is a list of libraries, as it has to do with the code and can be ignored as long as are listed in the DLL acknowledged regarding confidence of applications.

At the end of my Wininit he says the warning message string is 0 and it lists all the libraries. One source suggests that it is a false alarm since no DLL is actually loaded.

I looked for someone who had a warning Wininit where string = 0 and no list. I found this conversation: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/custom-dynamic-link-libraries-are-being-loaded-for/80497a24-1b98-4705-93cc-32d67b5947d1

On the second page, there is this suggestion of No.Compromise on May 24, 2010:

"In the registry, change the value from HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\LoadAppInit_DLLs from 1 to 0, restart and check if the event in question is still connected."

(Also would check if HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\LoadAppInit_DLLs has been set to 1 and if so, change it to 0).

Note the value to check is LoadAppInit_DLLs of type REG_DWORD, rather than LoadAppInit_DLLs of type REG_SZ. »

    May 25, 2010, he adds:

"For the moment, it won't affect anything else, if AppInit_Dlls is empty.  LoadAppInit_Dlls is an indicator that tells Windows to "respect" (load the dll in the AppInint_DLLs) the AppInit_DLLs value.

Older, pre-Vista apps will not know to LoadAppInit_DLLs a value of 1, so the dll they would add to this place could not be loaded.  It can be considered a good thing, because it is a quick way to get the (good and bad) code loaded into the address space of each loaded process user32.dll (practically everything), which deals with the AppInit_DLLs.

New apps are common sense for LoadAppInit_DLLs setting so they put 1 and also add components to AppInit_DLLs.

In your case, it seems that some program added DLLS to AppInit_DLLs, LoadAppInit_DLLs set to 1, and then the dll have been removed (manually? program cleaning? uninstall program?) AppInit_DLLs, but LoadAppInit_DLLs was restored to the default of 0 (or not being is not present at all).

"So, our exploration indicates that Windows based the decision to record the event on"Custom Dynamic Link Libraries loading for all applications"for the LoadAppInit_DLLs parameter, regardless of the content of the AppInit_DLLs value" (it was marked as a solution but the instructions are in the post on May 24, 2010).

I did this and the warning of Wininit disappeared.

    It worked after I changed HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\LoadAppInit_DLLs, but I went ahead and changed HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\LoadAppInit_DLLs .

I never changed anything in the registry before; big no no. But this person instructions and reasoning were clear enough even I could understand and it worked.

    Thank you

I do not like the weather that the hp health check runs a scan & would like to change the time. Is this possible? If so, how?

    Hello @RRWor,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I read your post on how HP Health Check executes a scan in a time that is not preferable for your and you want to change the time. What are the planning options available for your version of the software health check? In settings, you see no option to change the reminder to perform a scan or any notification as to when it will scan?

Please re-post with the necessary information, so I'll be capable of this search for you. If you can send a screenshot of your software, which would be also well appreciated configuration options. I look forward to your reply!

  • HP health check

Why HP Health Check brought me here?

A regular automatic descent of the HP health check generated the message, "HP Health Check identified one or more items requiring action."

The only item listed has the category "Updates" and the description "visit the HP Support Forum".

Although the existence of these forums is interesting and can be useful for me in the future, I see no "Updates" here.  Also, I see nothing "response".  What is going on?  If HP wants to provide an informational message informing me of this site, why the category is not listed as "informational".  There is no need to make me think that there is something wrong with my system or my system may be vulnerable.

  • HP Health Check - topic not found

I have a Pavilion dv7-1105tx. The HP Health Check asked me to run himself, as he usually does, this morning but at the end he identified a problem of maintenance of high priority that should be addressed (balance of health provision).  Unfortunately, this only did me not the possibility of repairing, it gave me the option re-scan where to seek help.  By selecting the help button it took me to Windows Help and Support where I was advised "topic not found".  My question here is where?

    Any help would be appreciated.

PS I am running windows vista 32-bit if it helps.

    Hello

Health check asks to update but does not click on repair?

Looks like you need to update these two files - try these manually and then run again the health scan and see if the problem goes away. Note, you can see a few new items listed with the new library - what is normal.

  • HP health check stops working

I noticed recently that every time I open my laptop it woul flash a message saying 'HP Health Check System has stopped working' and that something is done to stop it. So, I tried clicking on the programs HP health check, and he would do the same thing without even launch health check. What can I do?

In addition, there are a CEEmet or something like that stop working, showing the same message as that of the HP health check. I have no idea what it is, but I know it's something important.

    Help please? I'm so worried.

First of all, you don't have to worry about the error message. He said that it does not does not mean that your computer will fail. There is no software that is no problem be ready to cope and make sure that you did your backups at regular intervals.

    Now to the solution:

Check if your computer has 'Health check' installed in "Programs and features" in the Panel. If there is remove it and then download the HP Health Check download and install it. If you don't find it in "Programs and features" just download the file and install it.

  • VDS - a scholarly Discussion health check

OK, so that through all the documents that I can find except my next steps in opening a packet sniffer, I try to get a real deep dive on how the vDS health check works.  Thus, the documentation says he uses a Layer2 echo protocol, which is an ICMP ping, to check the configuration of VLANS.  So, if this is the case, how do this on VM networks without IP addresses and ports VMK?  Did he get by chance from a Pool of IP assigned, which means that a Pool of IP is necessary?  Also, since it checks only the next hop, in pens of blade, it actually help since the next leap will be the Virtual Connect (in the land of HP)?

I understand Layer2 ping that the ping of the arp using mac addresses and not ip addresses.

He must provide between rising Paul on L2, it should be independent on HP virtualconnect VEPA or cisco VN - TAG Ethernet enhancements.

  • HP Support Assistant will not download updates to date, or all the 'health check '.

Recently, I noticed that my HP Support Assistant continued to inform me of new updates available. In addition, every time I try and do a manual check for updates through the app, the 'health check' will fail. I have a HP Envy 14, edition Audio Beats. The model number is XG981UA #ABC.

In addition, I do not know if that changes anything but the most recent update, I downloaded was the most recent version of the ATI Catalyst Control Center (I need the drivers for Battlefield 3).

Anyone know of a possible solution for the Support Assistant software?

    Hello

    Try the following

Firstly, uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant by opening windows control panel, open programs and features, make the entry for HP Support Assistant right click and select uninstall.  Once this process is complete, restart the laptop.

Then download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant of the page on the link below - the download links are to the bottom of the page.

  • HP Total Care Health Check does not update all the software needed

I buy just a dv5-1235 of Best Buy.  I opted against the installation of the Geek Squad so that I could 'get to know' my computer better.  I've burned the recovery disks, then ran HP Total Care 'health check '.  He did update a decent number of programs, but there are still a few updates that I found on the HP support site.  especially for the resident TV MediaSmart update 1a.  I found that in another thread because this would interrupt answer shortly after reboot.

I'm missing something on the health check.  Should he check the updates on all the stuff "HP" or is this something to check first, then go to the HP site to double check?

This is my first post in this forum so I used the search function to see if there are similar topics, but I do not see.  Not to say that they aren't there, but after a quick search I do not see.

So far, my birthday gift for me works MUCH better than my old laptop, a dell since 2001.  :-)

    Advice would be appreciated.
