  I bought a 'student and Teacher Edition' of the CS5.5 Design Premium in 2012. It was installed in my iMac and the software worked perfectly. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, my iMac crashed disk and must be replaced. When I get back the iMac recently, I reinstalled my software including the CS5.5. The resettlement process went fine at first until the bar of 93% when there is a message that tells me to disable the application "SafariNotificat". I have no idea what it was. After looking through all the applications, I could not find this application 'SafariNotificat', I canceled the installation process. Apparently, all applications to the Conference on disarmament were installed successfully, with the exception of the Adobe Acrobat X Pro. When I tried to reinstall my CD.   I opened my utilities > Activity Monitor

  Found the SafariNotificationAgent and tried to stop this first, didn't it stop... so I force and then leave.

  I then tried to install, but it always came up with the error.

  But then I tried uninstalling Flash and then reinstalling Flash and Acrobat and it worked a treat... is it installed then fine.

  Please note: when I uninstalled Flash I went in:

  Applications > utilities > Adobe Installers > Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium

  This is where I uninstalled it just Flash so he took all the parts.

  Two copies of the same product version cannot exist on the same machine. You had a test version and then install CS5, it would have had a few mistakes contradictory on the thank you screen or product should have been disabled in the Options dialog box.

  Try to uninstall first of the CS5 Suite and then install again, these three applications should work perfectly.

  • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
  • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected.
