• Only 1 of the 2 computers in my LAN recognizes my static IP address assigned by my ISP - HELP!

  Hello

  Two computers cannot connect to the same connection using the same IP address. Each computer on the network must have its own unique IP address.

  You need to get a cable/DSL router. Configure the WAN port (Internet) side with your static IP address and connect all the computers the and other equipment network on the side of the router LAN.

  for example vmnic0 = LAN, vmnic1 = DMZ.

  It works well but I like to make changes in the way I want to use two separate physical network adapter and use on the two s two LAN and DMZ nic but now using the VLAN.

  So think of this configuration:

  For each network, I create a Vswitch, in order to obtain a Vswitch named VsLAN, VsDMZ for the case.

  The Vswitch I attribute a two nic Nic will be the day before. as vmnic0, vmnic2 (at rest)

  This Vswitch I create a port group and assign the correct number of VLan as LAN 10 and 20 to the DMZ.

  Create the another Vswitch will have the same Nic but now vmnic0 will be the stanby one.

  Probalby all great so far I think or not?

  Issues related to the:

  -Well this concept where there is a relationship a Vswitch and port group or a switch with multiple exchanges?

  In case a Vswitch with multiple port groups I will assign to group level reserve and the active NIC Port.

  -If I create a group of ports and assiging several Vlan IP packets received by the virtual machine itself also be labelled or not identified?

  Other words. Do I need to configure the NETWORK adapter to the virtual machine also for the same local network ID virtual or not.

  Change of vlan is a pretty good idea to get the failover and the performance of the network LAN and DMZ. You have confused somewhat however concepts.

  A can only be used in a vSwitch vmnic. So what you want to do is the following:

  Create a vSwitch

  On the vSwitch create two ports: LAN (vlan10), DMZ (vlan20)

  If vmnic0 and vmnic1 have access to the vlan10 and 20, then simply add the two vmnic virtual switch. By default, they will both be active and that's fine. If you do not want to CHANGE the GRPE ports LAN and goto the "failover" tab and put vmnic0 as active and vmnic1 as before. Then do the reverse on the DMZ port group.

• Windows XP cannot see that the internet can only see LAN

  We have a small network in my house. My router was set to WEP security (I know its too old, but my windows xp laptop computer does not work with WPA or newer). And I also added mac filtering for more security addresses. This network has worked well for 2 years.

  Meanwhile in a cell phone (that has windows XP sp3) so its wireless network broke, and we couldn't get living, then we just plugged on the router via a cable.

  Recently I had to reset my router because I forgot a password and I could add anything to the mac filter list.

  After that, I put at 'the original' for example WEP + mac filtering (only the passwords have been changed).

  Now everything is working fine, 2 laptops (both Windows 7 a), 2 readers, network all our phones smart etc can connect again, the only laptop (with Windows XP) problem.

  The XP laptop can see LAN (two disks) and router only (ping works), but in any browser (firefox, chrome, iexplorer) give me a Web site cannot loaded in the background: error 105, Err_name_not_resolved.

  I tried names ping (google.com) and different ip addresses (for example my ISP dns server address) but I get no answer 100% packet loss. I tried a lot of things that they did not help

  (1) has tried to change my XP for some fix + fix dns ip (I found these adressis in my router configuration/network configuration)
  (2) then I put back to dynamic ip once again in the line of cmd ipconfig release, ipconfig/reset, etc., I checked all addresses was going well everywhere (I mean gateway, DHCP server, dns server, looked well with dynamic ip too)
  
  (3) then I found similar position

  The two networks wdstorage discs + mybookworld... I think they are the two Western Digital stuff. I'm not sure, I can look after if its important (I don't think)
  So, I got two disks still attached. (so 3 connection of the UTP in the router is used, two for disks for the windows XP laptop)

  Thank you for your response.

  SATA controllers will normally appear as "SCSI" controllers in windows. It's normal and nothing to worry about. Often the SATA controllers will also be able to run in IDE mode and then they present themselves as IDE controllers, but it is unlikely that they will be able to operate optimally, as the IDE interface is missing some features of SATA. So even if you do not have the ability to set the cache in the Device Manager, a SATA controller is running in mode SATA should work just fine.

  The IDE bus is managed by the controller SATA3, and if this control is set in the BIOS to "IDE" somehow it seems related to the operating system as a SCSI device.  By setting this entry in the BIOS to "RAID/IDE" IDE devices get properly detected.

  This can also occur if you change the BIOS settings for the SATA ports of 'IDE' to 'AHCI' after installing Windows 7.

  have you applied last patch of the FDMEE-SAP adapter?

  It will create the additional flexfields in ODI for you. Otherwise, you will need to create them by running sql insert statements.

  You will see them in the guide of BristleCone V4.0.

  1 each time a new user is created the display name field becomes null (although I do not put any name to display in custom code, or I'm doing any first name, family name manipulation)
  
  which basically means that OOB event handler for the display name is not triggered. I checked it by removing the custom event handler, then full name starts the fill on Recon trust.
  
  FYI, the Custom event handler has a prescription = 1008
  
  2 event Handler is also bent the role assignment, which is a member of the rule.
  
  
  I tried to use the User Manager APIs in the events and also entityManager API, but the results are the same.

  You must use the UserManager API to update the user if you are in the event of change of station. EntityManager does not trigger the spread through research.

  I have a weird question. I have users who have full READ access to an application of essbase. When they saw goto, it does not show the attributes assigned to our dimension of the property. In this version should not be able to see these? Or I have to update their filter to have MetaRead to make it accessible. The current owner of the application (which is an administrator) click on display and members of Level0 property do NOT have assigned attributes.

  I assume you mean contour Viewer in environmental assessments? The attribute associations never appear in the treeview control when you use the Viewer, but if you right click on a member, you can see the associations through 'View member properties' (and also access 'Attribute Viewer' tool that could help).

  In the outline Editor associations of the attribute appear in the treeview control, unless it is disabled in tools | Console Options. Sketching tools.

• Error in the role assignment

  I had created a strategy to access the OIM 11 g to work for a final user role. Also, I've created a membership rule in design console to verify that a custom page attribute create a user called UserRole had the value of the end user. I applied this rule as membership rule in the role of the end user so that the role be assigned self if I chose EndUser in UserRole attribute then create user phase. Also, I assigned the access policy that I created for this role in the access policies tab. After this, whenever I created the user with attribute UserRole EndUser role was automatically assigned to the user as well as the access policy is invoked and it worked great.
  
  Then I activated the LDAP sync today and to check it worked I have disabled access policy by changing the role assignment he had to another role temporarily so that he would not get invoked. After awhile, I started the old role in the access policy so that it works as before. But now the access policy has stopped working. Also the user role is not automatically assigned. And on top of that, I'm still not able to assign the role to any user I create later manually. The error I get is:

  can someone please guide me to get the solution for this unacceptable mistake? I don't understand how I am unable to assign roles as well. If at all there is problem with the access policy so only he should have stopped working. But being not not able to manually assign roles is simply amazing. Help, please.

  I remember having this problem once when there was a problem with the installation of people group KFF. In this case the form server crash occurs when opening the form assignment. No other screen don't show this behavior in this case. What we did open people group FF implemented, create a dummy segment (you must have at least a dummy segment for people group flex field for the assignment screen to work correctly), compile, and save. Once this is done, transfer opens correctly.
  You can also try the same thing and let us know if it works with you.

  I configured 3 VM on an ESXi 4.1 (see attached jpg file). one of the virtual machine (GSPPBPCDBVM), it cannot access the network LAN, even cannot ping Bridge but can ping GSPPBPCVM after I walk today, previously, it was ok. The other 2 VM can access LAN network. What could be the problem?

  With the configuration you have posted, you have a 50/50 chance that none of your VM will have access to the network, since you have 2 NICs connected to two different VLANS and virtual machines are assigned to these network cards based on the virtual switch port (assuming you use the default settings).

  To properly set up the network, you have two options:

  1.) VLAN tagging on the physical switch ports (what you have)

  In this case, you will need to create a second vSwitch and attach the second NETWORK card to this switch. Then connect virtual machines to the vSwitch and port group that is connected to the switch port VLAN corresponding physics.

  2.) VLAN tagging on the virtual port group (this is what I recommend)

  Configure the ports on your physical switch as the trunk (or ports 'labelled' If you use Procurve switches), create another port VM on vSwitch0 group and set up VLAN tags on the gropus (VMKernel, VM Network1, VM Network2) port

• Add an option of column to display the playlist assignment

  I know it is not a column that indicates what playlist if a song has been attributed to.  I couldn't figure out how to make a request for improvement of the itunes software, so I thought that put my suggestion here, hoping that someone will accept that it would be a nice feature to add to improve the software.  When you download thousands of songs, it would be useful to know if the songs were assigned to a playlist and which ones.  So my suggestion is this, add a column option that would show if selected, the name of the playlist that a song has been assigned.  If a song has only been attributed to a playlist, and then the name of the playlist would show here in the column.  If assigned to several playlists, then you could hover over a word in this column as "multiple" to see playlists.  This would be beneficial for those of us who have implemented our own playlists and want to see what songs have not been allocated previously.
