The jury of ELVIS will work with LabVIEW Student Edition 2010

Hello

This question was asked in the forums of LabVIEW, but no solution has been found. I have a windows 7 x 64 machine with LabVIEW 2010 Student Edition. When I try to install ELVIS 3.0.5 traditional software I get the following (no error code) message: "this Setup program requires the LabVIEW 8.5 development system or later to be present on this computer. Development system LabVIEW Base in any version of LabVIEW is not supported. Please install LabVIEW and then rerun setup of NI ELVIS. »

I also installed the DAQ software for PCI DAQ board. I do not have access to a 32 bit machine and do not know how to get my board work (no ELVIS II) ELVIS. I have provided a screen shot of the message during the installation of the software of ELVIS.

.

Hey dduong16,

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide additional information. After talking with several experts about your system, we concluded that this error is the result of an incompatibility between 3.0.5 Elvis and LabVIEW 2010 64-bit. Even the latest drivers of Elvis are not yet supported by 64-bit LabVIEW: see notes in support of the operating system on the Readme Elvismx 4.2.3

To solve your problem, you will need to uninstall the 64-bit version of LabVIEW and install a 32-bit version. If you are a student, you should be able to get this version of your computer (it will work fine with your Windows 7 64-bit OS - it will install on 32-bit OS emulated inherent in your system). If you are not a student, please send me a personal message, and we will be working with an account representative to get you the necessary version.

I apologize for the inconvenience, this made you and appreciate your patience. We have updated the Elvis 3.0.5 Readme to reflect this incompatibility (the change may not appear yet, because it takes time to propagate through our system), and I'm trying to create a Base of knowledge on the subject article to help future users who encounter this error.

If there is anything else that I can help you, please you after return. Thank you!

    Hung Nguyen,

The installation of drivers for all targets in real-time remotely is more or less the same. First install the driver (in your case the NO-Sync) on your PC, then install it on your system remotely through MAX. For step-by-step instructions, see install the software on your NI CompactRIO controller.

  • Acquire data with LabVIEW Student Edition

In the meantime, I have to choose NI LabVIEW Student Edition of 2013 and 2013 LabVIEW student Edition Software Suite. The difference is about $ 40 for me. If the old let me remote controls via port series and an acquisition of data using NOR-DAQ-6008, then I can save money. I read a few other threads and the answer seems positive, but I just need a little more confidence before spending the student earned money!

For serial communication, you need NI-VISA and to use the 6008, you DAQmx. The two drivers are free and available on the Support page. The rest of the student is not necessary at all if that's all that you do.

  • Triangular LED with labview student edition

Hello, im new to LabVIEW, I wud would like to have a triangular LED for my project. In my view, there are solutions for the normal version.

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/how-can-I-make-a-triangular-led/m-p/613889

Unfortunately, I use LabVIEW student, so above solution Edition isn't compatible. Is - that any organisation other solutions?

    Thanks, Madarapu

Why do you say that it is not compatible? According to the specifications, the Student Edition has all features of the 'normal' version, so the control editor (which is what is used to create the LED in the example you linked to) is available. Have you tried to perform the steps as stated? If so, was there a specific one that did not work?

  • is there a driver for the faxphone l80 printer that works with Vista home edition

    Identical to the subject

    Hi RayBlack.

There is a driver available for the 32-bit version of Windows Vista, however, the L80 doesn't support printing on the 64 bit version of the Windows operating system.  You can download the driver by clicking on the link below:

FAXPHONE L80 - software and drivers

Click on the drop down arrow to [Drivers] and select the fax printer driver.  Select "I agree - Begin Download" to download the driver.

  • LabVIEW student edition 2010

    Hello

This post if address to someone in support to, OR of course as anyone with the answer would be welcomed. I am currently using LV 8.6 SE. I want to LV 2010 SE especially so I can see the VI on this forum. My question is should I wait to SE 2011 LV, is there even will be a 2011 SE LV If yes would be the price to be substantially the same as SE 2010.

    Thank you

    Alan

New versions of LabVIEW are released in August, which coincides with the week of OR.

LabVIEW 2010 just came out. You won't see anything new before August 2011, the possible exception patches or service packs.

  • Canon RC-6 wireless trigger will work with Canon ST-E3-RT transmitter to the camera?

I'm trying to know if the Canon RC-6 trigger Wireless will work with a Canon ST-E3-RT mounted on the camera.

The ST - E3 = RT works very well to the camera, but I prefer not to buy RE-6 without knowing that it will work.

    Bob,

Thanks for the reply.  If I remember correctly, for the IR, the remote control must be used in front of the camera, opposes

    Radio FREQ.

  • The ICF-CS15iP will work with the iphone 5 with 30-pin adapter light

the ICF-CS15iP will work with the iphone 5 with 30 pins to lighting

    Hello, Howard.

Welcome to the community of Sony.

Sony has not yet tested iPhone5 with our units as it has only been recently published. If you are able to connect the iPhone on the dock using the lightning adapter, you will need to check the compatibility of the iOS6 with the dock. I suggest you consult with Apple if the home Sony station were found to be compatible with the iPhone5.

  • My speakers Altec Lansing ADA745 will work with my 530 s the new Dell Inspiron PC?

My speakers Altec Lansing ADA745 will work with my 530 s the new Dell Inspiron PC?

I watched updates of the audio driver for my pc and am not sure which one I need or you can even use it.

Although "4.1" speaker systems are very common, the ADA745 should work without problems on a new system.  I have no connection to the ADA745 info but I guess it would connect everything as you are currently connected to the old PC.  New systems PC audio supports up to 7.1 speaker (with the most common 2.1 or 5.1) systems.  There is no drivers for speakers, however, you need to define the types of speakers in the control panel (e.g. article 4.1, and if this isn't an option, try the 5.1 and see if works well).   Printed with the new PC installation worksheet should detail the audio connections and if not, there is a copy of the Dell manual loaded on your PC and it has the details on the back panel connections.

In Vista, the sound control panel is accessible by Start/Control Panel/hardware and sound/Sound.
