The library is copied on the largest disk - how re-point catalogue?

I copied my entire library LR from a hard disk external 1 TB to a new 2 TB internal striped RAID (27 hours). People should take it all the time, the expansion of their libraries, so I think there must be a simple way to activate the original library the library catalogue double on another drive. The only way that I can think of is to disconnect the original drive and then get LR to find the missing files on the new disk, but that looks more like a work around to a "process". Nobody knows the "correct" way to get the catalog to point to a copy of the library rather than the original?

In the folder pane, right-click on the top-level folder and select the location of the update folder.

    James,

There are a few things to think about here:

    • NTFS can support 256 terabytes
    • MBR disks can support 2 Terabyte drives
    • Dynamic disks are not limited to the MBR 2 Terabyte limit
If my understanding is that if your drive is formatted in NTFS and you have a dynamic disk, Windows 2000 can support up to 256 terabytes. For more information about dynamic disks, seeworking with basic and dynamic disks.

  • My dell Inspiron 1150 windows xp password son has locked and the screen will not change, we do not know the password or have we not the reset disk, how can connect to reset password

My dell Inspiron 1150 windows xp password son has locked and the screen displays the dell logo and says that I need the master password or administrator, my son can't remember and we do not have the reset disk, is it possible to get and reset the password or enter the system

If you are using XP Home Edition, the built-in Administrator account probably doesn't have a defined password. You can start in safe mode, where this account will be selectable when connecting. It allows to connect and change the password of your normal connection.

To start in safe mode, keep hitting F8 twice a second after turning on the PC until you get the start menu where safe mode is selectable by the up/down arrow keys, and then press ENTER.

If you are using XP Professional, try to connect using the built-in Administrator account. You don't need to do it in safe mode (although you can if you wish). If your normal login screen is a display of the user symbol and hit ctrl-alt-del twice to get to login to text entry. Type administrator as the user name and try a blank password.

  • Why can't replace my drive hard hp compaq 6200SFF 250gig with the largest disk

I think I posted this in the wrong section earlier.   I want to replace my drive hard HP Compaq 6200SFF with a larger 250gig. I've done it before with other computers with no problems. I bought a 500gig drive at a local store and makes a picture of Symantec Ghost (option was image-boot) to my 250gig drive.    Then I installed the drive and started again with my ghost drive.  Normally I just launch the function of disk image restore to restore the image of the old drive to the new drive.  When I tried to do with the 6200, very well restored ghost image but as soon as I start on the new drive, I get an error message saying that "windows does not stop normally.   I never get to see the Windows Startup logo and welcome screen or something else than this black screen with white letters.  Windows did end normally when I was last using the 250 GB drive and it will power off.  I can't get the restart to go further - I just get the same error screen - there is no options or choice - all said the message is to call your service representative.  Is there something special about 6200 readers?  Do you need to do something instead of or in addition to making a ghost image?  Is it something in the bios that should reset itself?

Thank you, Hanspuppa.  I think you have a more recent version of Acronis, I ghost.  However, I was able to solve my problem using the Windows repair disk.  I ghost a disk image (ghost - ib) of my drive hard old man and then did a ' local disk image - of ' put the image on my new drive.  I received the repetitive message "Windows 7 does not normally" but then inserted the windows repair disk and booted from it.  He finds that the boot image on the new drive was bad and repaired.  He did not cela easily - reboot/turn off many times before the finished repair disk, I had and the pc booted from the new hard drive properly.  Now, I can do this with windows 7 and the emulation of hard drive has been to AHCI.  Knit a friend and I tried to do this on an another HP6200 with an image of Windows XP. We did not have a handy XP repair disk, but we went in the settings of the bios under storage on disk and passed the SATA AHCI to IDE emulation.  When we restarted Windows message here once, we supported on enter and him went pc to boot normally.  So the problem revolved around the difference in the AHCI IDE and the boot image created by Ghost.

  • Vista with XP Downgrade and none of the recovery disks - how to create recovery discs?

Interesting - I also bought the Windows Vista Business (sticker that says so on the bottom of the T61) with the pre-load downgrade to Windows XP Professional.

Recovery of product, I created discs, that the OP was advised, but did not notice any indication during the process of creating it was for Windows XP Professional which was preinstalled, the Windows Vista Professional (which is allowed and has a sticker on the bottom of the T61), or both. Anyone know?

And if it's only for XP, so how can I get Windows Vista Business media to which the licence applies?

Close your office tasks bar, clock is a Citrix icon (it is black with white lines on it).  You can use it to access the connection Center and change to allow access to the place.  I have not worn hand on the computer on which I typing this, but if I remember right you would go to the option 'About' on this icon, then there will be a link to the advanced options and connection Center access.

  • Find the largest tables (disk space) in a database

Our problem: customers who have problems that we cannot recreate are asked to export their data as a dmp and then we download the dmp to investigate to import locally and to implement were the problem is.
Some customer data sets are too large to download (3-4 GB - I know that this shouldn't be a problem but some customers have very slow connection speeds and it would take a lifetime).
To work around this, they put on a DVD and send (which takes a few days).
The thing is, that these data sets are probably around 400 MB with a table showing the rest with blobs (and this table is probably not the cause of the problem). So indeed, we can it exclude from the export.

    What we want to achieve:
There are potentially some of these tables that could be large so we would like to produce a script to determine which tables are the largest disk space. We then (if the problem that the customer experiences is nothing to do with these tables) will not include these export on the DMP. Which means we can get their faster data and subsequently solve their problem in a shorter time.

Where to start any help will be much appreciated. We use db 10g

You can query s/n | WHERE user_segments, ordered by decreasing bytes.

  • Dv9008nr what is the largest hard drive internal, it will support? Including the two Bay drive.

I have a laptop model Hp Pavilion Dv9008nr I have buy a new sata model Reader 2.5 500 GB seagate momentus.  I installed the player NDDN hard drive Bay, but the computer will not recognize and does not start in windows.  so I used Acronis to clone an image of the original disc with bootable operating systems so it clone for the Seagate 500 GB drive I reinstalled to drive Bay 1, but it still won't start. I have a vontacted HP support level 1 level 2 they say this computer supports a maximum of 200 GB of disc or 100 GB in each Bay.  I find it hard to believe when I search on the net and see the same model with 250 GB drives and 320 GB can someone explain or help thanks.

I just let everyone know that I understood how to do this job. NO thanks to HP CUSTOMER SUPPORT level 1, level 2 or CAT.  They all told me that it was a problem of motherboard and BIOS and software was not the problem.  They stated that this series to DV9000 motherboard only can support a total of 200 GB of total disk space. It is 100 GB in drive Bay 1 and 100 GB of disk bay2, or 120 GB bay1 and 80 GB in bay 2.  I found that hard to believe. But still, they sent me the manual and showed me to page 123 this is everything that is supported.  They suggest to buy a new computer or use the external drive.

HERE IS THE SOLUTION > I bought Acronis True Image 2009.  I remembered that a friend said that I must have the largest disk in drive Bay 1 and the same size or more small disk in drive Bay 2.  So, I took the 100 GB original out of the drive Bay 1 and installed in the 2 Bay drive. I then installed a new Western Digital 320 GB drive to bay1.  I rebooted the computer using the Acronis boot disk I had done.  Then, I used Acronis to create a disk image of my 100 GB drive Clone original with OS to the new 320 GB drive Bay 1.  After that the clone was complete I took out the boot disk and restatred windows and wow it worked fine.  I now have primary disk of 320 GB with the full image in reader1 and old 100 GB in drive 2.  That's a total of 420 GB on the motherboard which supposedly does not support.  I then decided to try this again then I removed the original 100 GB drive and then the clone bootable from 320 to drive Bay 2.  I then installed a new 500 GB Seagate Maximus drive dirve Bay 1. I then started with the Acronis boot idisk and cloned the 320 GB drive in the drive Bay 2 the new 500 GB drive Bay 1.  I have restart after taking the Acronis boot disk and, once again, I am now running windows with a disk of 500 GB primary with OS and all programs as well as 320 GB drive in Bay 2.  The two will appear in my computer as well as in managing and disk management. I then reformat the drive of 320 GB to free up more storage space.  You can do the same thing or set up in the raid disk.  I hope that this helps eveyone, because now I have 820 GB of hard drive space internally, despite any erroneous information that I received from HP.  I wil gladly help someone through the steps if necessary.  Thanks for all the support out there!

  • Capacity of the hard disk for NX9030

    Hello

I have a laptop HP Compaq NX9030. The hard disk starts to show errors so I intend to replace it. Does anyone know if the laptop has a limited capacity for replacement hard drives?

    Thank you

    Dave

You have the Intel 855 chipset. In order to launch a hard drive larger than 137 GB, you need help for 48-bit Large Block Addressing in the chipset, BIOS and operating system. I find contradictory information on the ability of the chipset 855 doing of 48bits LBA. I also wonder if ever taken HP worth of produce a BIOS that would make 48 bit LBA in this model being the biggest hard drive offered 60 gigs. In other words, I think you should assume 120 GB is size max hard drive you can use and the only way I can think to prove otherwise is to buy the largest disk and install it. Windows XP Sp1a and superior does not large drives.
