The list of functions: comparison of the lists in SQL statements?

Hello

I had a table with a column that contains values separated by commas, e.g..
1st row: 45,67,2,90,67
row 2: 34,7,23,9,7
tier 3:4
rank 4: 567,8,90

I would now like to find rows containing p.e. 4 and 90. the entrance of research comes in a 4.90 list
My results should be line 1, line 3 and line 4.

How can I write in SQL WHERE clause?

Thanks much for the tips...

Dear Dan, dear Kronin555

I am sorry to say that I was not able to repair my data model. After a night's sleep to the course and dreaming about it, I changed the model as you guys suggested and it works fine... I did not immediately understand what you mean!

Be sure to what will I appear again with a lot of stupid questions :-)

So, thank you very much for your contributions.

  • How to get the create view sql statement

    I have a technical problem

    There is a view in the database, for example "topstudentsview" and sql statement is ' select * student where scores > 90;

    My question is how to get the sql statement of the view. I want to get the sql statement in the topstudentsview

    Is the equivalent in MS Sql

    sp_helptext 'topstudentsview '.

    How in Oracle?

    Thank you

    Simple answer: use a tool. Almost every development tool will give you an option for this requirement.

    In Oracle SQL Developer (free), it's as simple as:

    Connect to the database with the user and click on "views".
    Select the appropriate view, and then click the SQL tab.

  • monitor the real-time sql statement.

    HII All,

    I'm working on the machine win 7 with oracle 11 g 2 Developer sql tool.

    I'm database access via VPN to certain place xyz.

    I want to follow the sql like insert, update when someone performs using front end.

    I did it before in the case of forms oracle via the toad sql monitor.

    But I can't use toad now only the sql developer.

    So please let me know how I can do this.

    Thank you.

    the FORCE_MATCHING_SIGNATURE column is also entered in the ASH / historical AWR views V$ ACTIVE_SESSION_HISTORY / DBA_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY / DBA_HIST_SQLSTAT.

    .. and after all, you can join these views as described with DBA_HIST_SQLTEXT, if necessary.

    DBA_HIST_SQLTEXT displays the text of SQL statements belonging to shared SQL cursors captured in the repository of the workload. This perspective captures information from V$ SQL and is used with the DBA_HIST_SQLSTAT view.

    I would like to ask a question about SQL * Plus SET SERVEROUTPUT option on / off and its impact on queries on views such as v$ sql and v$ session. This is the problem

    In fact I define three variables in SQL * Plus to store sidcolumns, serial # and prev_sql_id of session $ v in order to be used later, several times in various other queries, while I work always in the current session.

    So, here's how
    SET SERVEROUTPUT ON;  -- I often activate this option as the first line of almost all of my SQL-PL/SQL script files

    SET SQLBLANKLINES ON;

    VARIABLE mysid NUMBER
    VARIABLE myserial# NUMBER;
    VARIABLE saved_sql_id VARCHAR2(13);

    -- So first I store sid and serial# for the current session
    BEGIN
        SELECT sid, serial# INTO :mysid, :myserial#
        FROM v$session
        WHERE audsid = SYS_CONTEXT('UserEnv', 'SessionId');
    END;
    /

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    -- Just check to see the result
    SQL> SELECT :mysid, :myserial# FROM DUAL;

    Now let's say I want to run the following query as the last SQL statement is executed within my current session
    SELECT * FROM employees WHERE salary >= 2800 AND ROWNUM <= 10;

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e25513/dynviews_3016.htm#REFRN30223]

    column prev_sql_id includes the sql_id of the last executed sql statement for the sid and serial data which, in the case of my example, it will be the above mentioned query SELECT on the employees table. So right after the SELECT statement on the employees table I have run the following
    BEGIN
        SELECT prev_sql_id INTO :saved_sql_id
        FROM v$session
        WHERE sid = :mysid AND serial# = :myserial#;

    So instead of
    SELECT * FROM employees WHERE salary >= 2800 AND ROWNUM <= 10;
    get the next value for the value of sql_text
    BEGIN DBMS_OUTPUT.GET_LINES(:LINES, :NUMLINES);
    Which is of course not what I expected to find in v$ sql for the given sql_id.

    After a little googling, I found the next thread on OTN forum, where it was suggested (well, I think that may not be exactly the same problem) to disable SERVEROUTPUT.

    Problem with dbms_xplan.display_cursor

    It was exactly what I did
    SET SERVEROUTPUT OFF
    After that, I repeated the procedure as a whole and this time everything worked pretty much as expected. I checked SQL * more documentation for SERVEROUTPUT
    and also the page of v$ session, yet I don't find nothing indicating that SERVEROUTPUT should be operated off every time that views such as v$ sql, v $session
    are queired. I don't really understand the link in what concerns the impact that can have on the other or better say rather, why is there an impact

    Could someone kindly do a few details?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    Hi Dariyoosh,
    SET SERVEROUTPUT ON has the effect of dbms_output.get_lines running after each statement. Not only related to the system view.

    Below is what Tom Kyte is explained in this page:

    Now, sqlplus sees this feature and says "Hey, it wouldn't be nice for me to empty the buffer to the screen for the user? Thus, they added the command SQLPlus "set serveroutput we" which does two things

    (1) he tells SQLPLUS you would like run dbms_output.get_lines after each statement. You would like to make this network rounded up after each call. You want that this additional load will take place (think of a script of installation with hundreds / thousands of statements to run - maybe, just maybe you don't want this extra call after each call)

    (2) SQLPLUS automatically calls the API dbms_output "activate" to activate the buffering which is in the package.

    Kind regards.

  • catch the collection returned by the function in a SQL statement

    Here, I was able to select only one value from the table returned by the funcation both. If I select all of the values as above, she gave too much error vales.
    Please someone help me in this

    No specific reason for this? It adds additional complexity to the projection of SQL, and there are additional costs of failover for the motor of PL/SQL (per line) of context. Overall - not your typical approach and one that should have sound justification.

    With regard to the basic method - the SQL multiset() function should be used to create a collection. Here is an example of the approach:

    SQL> create or replace type TFoo as object(
      2          id      number,
      3          bar     varchar2(5)
      4  );

    Type created.

      8          loop
      9                  foo(i) := new TFoo( n+i-1, to_char(i-1,'0000') );
     10          end loop;
     11
     12          return( foo );

  • Can I use function defined by the user in the control file Sql Loader?

    Hi Master,

    Can I use fuction user-defined in the sql loader control file? Please advise... !!

    If you can provide an example... It's very kind of you.

    Concerning

    AR

    Here are a few examples that should give you clues: Sql loader

    I seriously wonder if why you use the century previous SQL * Loader instead of a external table:

    ORACLE-BASE - external Tables: querying data from flat files in Oracle

  • With the help of the collection within sql

    I have a function that returns a list of numbers. for example:
    CREATE TYPE integer_table_type AS TABLE OF INTEGER;

    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION test_fnc
       RETURN integer_table_type
    AS
       return_var   integer_table_type;
    BEGIN
       SELECT   *
         BULK   COLLECT
         INTO   return_var
         FROM   (SELECT   1 FROM DUAL
                 UNION
                 SELECT   2 FROM DUAL
                 UNION
                 SELECT   3 FROM DUAL);

       RETURN return_var;
    END test_fnc;
    /
    I would use this function in a sql statement, without aid of a subquery, for example:
    WITH t1 AS (SELECT   1 f1 FROM DUAL
                UNION
                SELECT   2 FROM DUAL
                UNION
                SELECT   3 FROM DUAL
                UNION
                SELECT   4 FROM DUAL
                UNION
                SELECT   5 FROM DUAL
                UNION
                SELECT   6 FROM DUAL)
    SELECT   *
      FROM   t1
     WHERE   f1 IN (test_fnc);
    but I can't get it's running by using a subquery for example:
    WITH t1 AS (SELECT   1 f1 FROM DUAL
                UNION
                SELECT   2 FROM DUAL
                UNION
                SELECT   3 FROM DUAL
                UNION
                SELECT   4 FROM DUAL
                UNION
                SELECT   5 FROM DUAL
                UNION
                SELECT   6 FROM DUAL)
    SELECT   *
      FROM   t1
     WHERE   f1 IN (SELECT   * FROM table (test_fnc));
    Is this possible without having to return to the function in a subquery? Thank you.

    Try

    select *
      from t1

  • Game of demand does not pick up the good period open to active fixed from the SQL statement

    Hello

    We have a demand that could kick off the simultaneous application of the value: Ixr: list of asset by period and Ixr: reserve book report.

    ON overall demand, we set the parameter: default period based on a SQL = select period_name from FA_DEPRN_PERIODS where book_type_code = 'PER2011' and period_close_date is null

    The query runs with the good period, until we open the new period, the game application will still come closed period.

    When I run this script on the database, it gives the correct name of the open period.

    Why all the demand does not pick up the open period?

    Rock

    Hello

    When planning, the parameter values that you gave when planning will not change.

    For the test, for a simultaneous program, I create a parameter and has given the value 100 tank and default type sql statement and the value as below.

    Select to_char (sysdate, 'dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss') of double

    If, at the time of the program, it shows a default value such as the date and time with seconds. Then I planned it for every minute.

    When you check in for each race it is seen the first time only, it does not.

    so in your case, you must plan its new after change of period.

    Hope this will help you...

  • Tuning sql of a product to the seller without changing the sql statement

    Hello

    We have a product of the provider that generates the SQL statement. For a query, we get the answer in 15 seconds. But users are asking if we can bring it back to 5 seconds. Limitation is the query can not be changed. He used about 10 to 12 tables and bit complex query.

    What kind of options could be evaluated if we are to improve the performance of a query (not sure if she could never be reduced to 5 seconds)
    without making any change to the query.

  • get the node of SQL query file name

    Hi all
    I have a concurrent request that requires the name of file as input. For example, when I connect to oracle on our test instance, I use http://moon1.oando-plc.com:8000. For this program at the same time, the node file name appears as moon1.oando - plc.com.
    I need to use this argument to a PL/SQL procedure, that I write and I don't want to use any hard coding.
    Is it possible to get this data into an SQL statement.

    Thank you

    Hello

    You can get table ICX_PARAMETERS (HOME_URL column). Orsearch profile options values for 'http' get the login page URL (or server name) - see (Note: 201945.1 - How E-Business Suite profile Option values list for all levels using SQLPlus).

    Kind regards

  • Using the column in the Merge of Oracle statement and column name not valid

    Hello

    I have the database table called ecp_blobdata with the following description of the table:
    OBID VARCHAR2(24),
    ZBINDATA LONG,
    ZLEN INTEGER
    I implemented the following statement from Oracle FUSION to refresh this table:
    MERGE INTO ecp_blobdata ecbl

          USING rnlht1m4.zbindb@TCPROD bin
          ON (ecbl.obid = bin.obid)
          WHEN MATCHED THEN
               UPDATE SET
                      ecbl.obid = bin.obid,
                      ecbl.zbindata = bin.zbindata,
                      ecbl.zlen = bin.zlen
          WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN
               INSERT VALUES(ecbl.obid, ecbl.zbindata, ecbl.zlen);
               COMMIT;
    However, I get the following error message when I try to compile the package:
    Compilation errors for PACKAGE BODY BHALLAR.DATA_REFRESH

    Error: PL/SQL: ORA-38101: Invalid column in the INSERT VALUES Clause: "ECBL"."OBID"
    Line: 13
    Text: MERGE INTO ecp_blobdata ecbl

    Error: PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
    Line: 13
    Text: MERGE INTO ecp_blobdata ecbl
    The column defintely exists, but I don't know why he keeps complaining with the same error message? It's to do with the help of column which is zbindata or something else that I might not be looking at?

    Thank you.

    G ' Day

    Your syntax is incorrect.

    In the list of VALUES, you should refer to your table in the source columns, alias 'bin '.

    That is to say, precise cause number error message in the documentation:
    Cause: INSERT fact VALUES clause references columns in the destination table

  • update happens inside the anonymous PL/SQL block

    Hello

    I use oracle 10g 3.2.
    I'll have a report with checkbox (separate column) so that only certain lines that I chose, I am able to update db.
    At the click of a button following the anonymous PL/SQL block, I'll call you.

    I use the "anonymous PL/SQL block following. The update happens.

    F112_CHECKBOX is a level applocation element

    Start
    : F112_CHECKBOX: = HTMLDB_UTIL. TABLE_TO_STRING (HTMLDB_APPLICATION. G_F01, ",");

    Insert into dumy values(:F112_CHECKBOX);
    commit;

    update set patient_id_code = '123' exp where f_id = 1 and patient_id_code = '12345' and method_internal_index in (: F112_CHECKBOX);
    end;

    The problem is with F112_CHECKBOX. The values I get in F112_Checkbox properly (in the dumy table I checked it shows) but by updating its not taking.
    Can someone tell me something wrong with the syntax of update? method_internal_index column is varchar2 (100).

    Thank you
    Olivier

    The problem is that: F112_CHECKBOX is a string that contains a list of values that you want to update.
    You cannot use it in an IN clause because in doing so, you are running something like:

    update exp
    set patient_id_code='123'
    where f_id=1
    and patient_id_code='12345'
    and method_internal_index in ('111,222,333,444');

    This is equivalent to:

    update exp
    set patient_id_code='123'
    where f_id=1
    and patient_id_code='12345'
    and method_internal_index = '111,222,333,444';

    And cannot find any line to be updated.

    You can change your update in this way:

    update exp
    set patient_id_code='123'
    where f_id=1
    and patient_id_code='12345'
    and ','||:F112_CHECKBOX||',' like '%,'||method_internal_index||',%' ;

    Ensure that: F112_CHECKBOX contains no spaces...

  • Calculate LOWER or equal to in the SQL statement

    Hi have a SQL statement:

    $sql = "SELECT * PROPERTY WHERE the PropType AS '$PropType' AND NoBeds '$NoBeds' AND the city AS '$City' AND cost LIKE ' < = $maxPrice';

    $result = mysql_query ($sql);
    If ($myrow = {mysql_fetch_array ($result))}
    do
    {
    $PropType = $myrow ['PropType'];
    $NoBeds = $myrow ["NoBeds"];
    $City = $myrow ['city'];
    $maxPrice = $myrow ['cost'];
    echo "< BR > PROPTYPE: $PropType";
    echo "< BR > NOBEDS: $NoBeds;
    echo "< BR > CITY: $City;
    echo "< BR > MAXPRICE: $maxPrice";
    }
    and that ($myrow = mysql_fetch_array ($result));
    }
    ? >

    But it does not mean anything other than a blank page
    How can I get a value that is less than or equal to the value in the drop-down list of my form?

    When you use AS in SQL, you need to include a wildcard character in the
    Required string. for example. LIKE ' % $PropType. Take a look at SQL documentation for
    LIKE and how to use the wildcard characters.

    You must use the lower or equal to<= in="" your="" sql="" statement="">
    you, but you seem to have (through the eyes of a user non-PHP)
    included in the string explaining why it will not work. In addition, you have used
    LIKE here as well when you shouldn't have in this context. Use:

    AND the cost<=>
