The lost Album art

I wanted to create space on my main hard drive by moving all my music files on a secondary hard drive.  I did it manually (cut on one single hard drive and pasted to another), hoping that WMP would be able to track where the music went.  After you move the files, WMP not found music, which seemed an easy problem to solve.  HOWEVER, when I opened the files on the new site, all of the album art was gone.  I brought all the files to their original location, hoping that WMP would be happy if everything was back to its original location.  This solves the problem of WMP, being able to find the music files, but the album art is still missing.  Not only that, but I can't find a way to put it back - if I tape "update of the news of the album," nothing is happening; If I type "find album info" it shows the art in the pop up window, but when I hit 'Finish', art is not yet there. and even when I try to paste the album art, nothing happens.

Can someone help me get my album art?  I can't stand all these empty images of CD case to look at.

Well, I answered a question but wound up with the other.  I solved my problem with the album art - Fortunately, I had saved my main hard drive yesterday, so I just deleted all the music of two hard drives and then restored the backup files.  That worked - all album art is back.

(I tried to come back to this forum to delete my question or indicate that I had resolved, but it wouldn't let me connect.  When I tried to connect, the only option that was provided was to create a new account (when I clicked on "sign in", he says in one place that I have already connected and the only option that I could find was to create a new profile).  Where my answer profile being slightly different name from the profile used with the original question.)

  • album art not showing after the addition of

I downloaded an album by a local artist (legally) and the folder included a jpg of the album art. I hung out in the section of the work of window read the album information and he showed here, but it does not appear as the cover art in the list of albums, or when I return to read the information. I also chose to add an illustration to get information and selected the file, and again when he appeared in the correct place, but again, only temporarily. As soon as I closed Get Info, he disappeared. Any ideas on what's going on? I get the other album art very well. I am running iTunes 12.2.2.25 and OS 10.7.5. Thank you.

If the album has more than a song, try to select all the songs from the album at the same time, and then do a get information on selection.  Go to the tab of the work in the window information from several element, and drag in the image file.  See if that makes a difference.

  • How can I update the album art on rocket?

I spent some time recently downloading album art, and now that I have it, I have no idea how to get it on the "rocket".  I use MediaMonkey to set tags and get art just the way I like it. But when I open Itunes and go to the album art display, its like the fixes I've done in the monkey never happened.  I also tried using the Zune software to get some art, and it displays almost every pocket, just like the monkey.  But in windows media player, each tag in music is the same as before is not what I want. I look at the tags and they are going to be the 'old', while mediamonkey and Zune software display fixed/correct information.  So I ask myself, how can I change the tags/art in wmp for use in my rocket? Thank you

Mp3Tag is the way to go!  For the missing albums art required, you can use the function "export art as a jpg.  I used it in two modes, using the embedded image to export and a simple Google > Art > drag and drop in MP3Tag method.

You can name the art 'album art.jpg' or 'folder.jpg' - either the name works very well with the "rocket".

  • Album art WMP12 will not change the desktop

Whenever I have on my desktop of my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 music, album art remains the same. Months, I had a song on my desktop that had its own art from the album, and now that I moved the song in my music folder, any song that I put on my desk, rest the same album art as a single individual. But when I play a song from my record music, WMP starts and I just get the music for the album art note. How can I clear the desktop album art? I had some songs on my desk with album art and I play and it comes up with album art, but then a song that does not, it goes back to album art of the song of the first.

X.MP3 is the first song that the album cover is on and xy.mp3 are all the other mp3s. and when xy.mp3 is playing, album art of rest x.mp3

    Please help, it's boring.

    Thank you

    Hello sterlingsilv3r,

If you had saved to the desktop Album art, you remove the arts album before moving them to your music folder?

You should try to remove all the Arts of the Album you had saved on your desktop.

Make sure Show also that hidden files and folders also protected operating system files, and then check if hidden files appear on the desktop.

    1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
    2. click on the view tab.
    3. under Advanced settings, click Show files and folders and then click OK.

Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"

  • Retrieve album art with AppleScript

Benevolent God, there are more properties for a follow-up in the .sdef of iTunes that I could ever imagine. However, who is notably absent is the cover of the album. Since this is not directly a property, is there another way I can retrieve the track album art?

Œuvre of art is a part of a track, not a property. Titles can have several works of art, each of which has its own set of properties.

It is pretty trivial to get, if:

    say application "iTunes."

the value myArtwork for each piece of track 1 in playlist "music."

    end say

Once you have, you can analyze the data as you want. For example, to extract the JPEG image, you can:

    say application "iTunes."

the value myArtwork for first work of track 1 in playlist "music."

If the format of myArtwork is then set myPicture JPEG photo to the data of myArtwork

    end say

  • iTunes is showing wrong album art

    Hi all

I use Mac OS 10.11.3 with iTunes 12.3.2.35 and I have a problem with album art. When I change the album art for some tracks, I have everything first to remove the old and then paste it into the new. I noticed that, in some cases the old album art is visible in the playlist for example; and the new is not. When I check, there is only one piece of album art visible. the new one. Apparently the ancient art is stored somewhere beyond our reach? Boring! Any ideas?

    Best regards, Eduard of Holland

From my experience, this happens when I can't seem to change the work on one or more of the songs on the album.

In order to that you change all the tracks, first search by the name of the album.

  • How to prevent synchronization of ipod touch album art

When I create playlists for my Ipod touch (4th generation), the Pocket attached to one of these songs in my itunes library is also transferred to the ipod.

When I attach my ipod to read in my BMW car, if the song has album artwork, which will appear on the display BMW car rather than the title of the song played, which contains that briefly at the beginning of the song. When a song is playing and has no album art, just the title of the song and the artist appears on the screen of the car, which is what I want all songs on the ipod.  I would like to remove all the ipod album art (not my itunes library) or to prevent the synchronization of the work in the first place. I just want to see the titles of songs, the titles of the album and artists on the screen of the car when I use my Ipod in the car.

Delete the work songs in iTunes, then sync to the iPod.

There is no setting to prevent the work of synchronization when the work is in iTunes.

  • (another) album art probem

Hi I'm new here and I'm sorry if this question was asked millions of times but I'm not looking and cannot always solve my problem

the question is, I have connected my Fuze in MTP mode, used Media Monkey and WMP11 for importing files, but sometimes arts album show up, sometimes, they don't. Each file has built-in pouch and each folder a folder.jpg album or Album Art.jpg and inside .alb file. All images are 120 x 120 and less than 50 KB.

Please help me, I'm tired of delete and synchronize everything again and again

    Thank you for reading

    1. Make sure all your tags are ID3v2.3 ISO-88559-1 (No UTF). The combo (ID3v1, ID3v2.3) tag is OK, but you don't want some that are v1 & some that are the v2.3. Media Monkey can be allright, but a dedicated like MP3TAG tagging program is specifically designed to do one thing; and do it correctly. Tag music files. And it's free.
    2. I would be suspicious to use Photoshop to 'Edit' or change album art images. It can record the result in a format (although it may still be .jpg) that the "rocket" has a reading problem (there are different versions of the .jpg format). There should be no need to modify or to try to improve these tiny images anyway. Whatever changes you make to an image is probably is not going to be visible in his poster the size on the screen of the rocket. The maximum size of any image of album art should be only around 200 x 200 (or even less). Something more great as it is will only be reduced to the displayed size, compaction (or compression) the image still further, which leads to less distinction and clarity (the opposite of what you want). Also if the image is too large, the "rocket" will not even appear at all. It's all just too big to handle.
    3. Choose a name for your art files and stick to it. I have all mine as 'album art.jpg. I have several players of e200 series and they all work for me. Then the "rocket" is out, and everyone now says the album art has to be labelled "folder.jpg". Is there a difference, and the "rocket" have a preference? I have no idea. I'm certainly not going through several hundred albums and add another file 'folder.jpg' for each album folder! I recently got a rocket did not have honestly a lot of time playing with it at the moment. I put some files on it and it seemed to view the files 'album art.jpg' very well. They can both work, but I wouldn't have a combination of both. I their name to one or the other and stick with it.
    4. Also I wouldn't "cover your bet" by having the two embedded album art and separate 'album art.jpg' file in each folder from the album. This could be the cause of confusion in the brain wee of the rocket, "only one I watch, this one or that? (unintentional ryhmes) Once again, one or the other. There is no need for both. Supposedly, with the latest version of Firmware, embedded album art support has been added for MP3 files, but in the last days, I read that this cannot be fixed 100% yet. So if you already have a file 'Add' art for all your records album in any case, you can remove the "embedded" art in the ID3tag. It's also something MP3TAG can do fo you.

EDIT: I just took a look at the songs of the sample that came pre-installed on my Fuze. He has a record ALBUMS. The e200 series players this is different. This isn't the ALBUM folder I was alluding to in the discussion where the 'album art.jpg' file should be located. It is in the MUSIC/ARTIST/ALBUM folder alongside the music files themselves.

This new ALBUMS folder is in the root directory alongside the MUSIC, PHOTO, VIDEO, & SERVICE records. This is a "hidden" file and it contains files .alb of all music that is loaded on the player.

I also grew these music pre-installed in MP3TAG files. All were indeed the tag (ID3v1, ID3v2.3) combo and each of them had "built-in" album art

  • Contribution of random information - Album Art

    Hello fellow Fuzers!

I finished converting my 400 CD MP3s and I am now in the process of conversion of almost 1000 vinyl albums.  The only obstacle is album art to enjoy in my rocket during playback and who need to have images to 172 x 172. Since iTunes and various other online sources use images much more large on their website I found an excellent source of album clip art file in iTunes before syncing to my Fuze - CD Universe.

    1. Google the artist name, album and include a CD Universe

2 9 times out of 10 the first page of results under Google Images will have a list of CD Universe with an image of the album you want to 170 x 170.

    3. open the image in your browser.

    4. right click and save the image to your Clipboard.

    5. right click and paste to the area of the image in iTunes.

Hope this random bit of info is useful to someone.

    At the latest,

    Patrice

Where people get the idea that the "rocket" requires the album art to be 172 x 172 of?

Although there is an upper limit for the maximum size that is more than 300 x 300. The "rocket" album art to fit what screen it currently shows it on the scales. In the list of albums he can scale down to a tiny thumbnail next to the name of the album, in the playback screen now he adjusted to a medium size and if you press the button to the Center twice that it can evolve into a larger pouch only display dimensions.

The 'standard' album art has always been 200 x 200 (and the "rocket" works very well with this size). Almost all the other images of size on the Internet have been scaling down the size of 200 x 200 normal still. There are tons of images of album at 200 x 200 (give or take a pixel or two) on the Internet to choose. So, I have no idea why people even worth messing around with other sizes to begin with.

  • Album art setting WMP12 - problems

    Separated from this thread.

I decided to go through my library and check each album 1 by 1 to make sure that all of my songs have the correct album art. The problem is when I change 1 album 2 random albums would be change to something different or adopt the art that was previously on the album that I've changed. I hit apply changes media submenu of the tool. I'll change my album again and not apply the changes to the media. What is it advantageous to apply changes in media do?

I already tried to rebuild my library several times and even uninstalled WMP twice. I can't understand why this is happening

Including going in "Hidden files and folders" and access to the data of the app?

Also we will just check your WMP settings... What settings do you have under the tab 'Organize' - 'Options' - library?

(Just need to check the basics first...) Thank you - r.

  • Album art stuck to an album gets associated with some other albums too, apparently without a model

I go to my music library on WMP 12 (Windows 7-64 bit) Paste album art missing album that I found on an Internet image search is not available in 'album' base data info... Microsoft when I right click and past the album art from the Clipboard, it updates immediately, but the player of closing and reopening it I conclude that art is also available on other albums... for example, me was missing album art for two albums of Greenday, Nimrod and attention... when I pasted art for "Warning", not only update in THIS package, it also showed the same album art for "Nimrod."  I then found, copied and pasted the album art for "Nimrod" and not only it updated, but replaced the album art for 'Warning' to art itself.  Rinse and repeat.  Also, I often get an error message that says: 'album art cannot be replaced while the album is being used' when it is not.

I can't find tips for troubleshooting for this problem in the base of knowledge... suggestions?

Got it - it's a bit different in Windows 7, though - there is no "Run", just a search box button.  However, you can simply type "run" in the search box and click the 'run' item... then follow these instructions, pretty much - except actually impossible to change the database if it is huge, as is mine (it is too large for Notepad to manage) and you can not delete without first stopping the service "Windows Media Network Sharing"... then , she rebuilt the database (SLOWLY in my case – my music library has approximately 8000 cuts in it, about 1500 different albums). Thank you!

  • Why don't the folder Player\Art Cache\Local MLS \windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Media have the cover art for all tracks in iTunes

I worked on issues related to the time to do a full scan with MSE.  I discovered that the MSE scan spent 4 hours going through the files in "\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Media Player\Art Cache\Local MLS". With the information of the community, I was finally able to access these files and watch. I was more then a bit surprised to find that the cover is the cover art for tracks I have in iTunes. I deleted some files and found out that the cover for iTunes still works. Windows Media Player is not just music cover art.

So anyone know why Windows Media Player load cover art files on my system for iTunes titles? It loads the same cover for each track in an album don't ask me there are as many files in this folder.

I have disabled the service "wmpnetwk" and if it does not start even when I restart the computer. Once again thanks to the community. So if I just delete these files that will be the end of the matter?

The Player downloads album art to a database online where the information is provided by a variety of non-Microsoft, as AMG data providers.

The Player downloads album art when you rip a CD. To do this, the Player tries to match the CD for an entry in the online database. If it finds a match, the Player automatically downloads the media information that is available for the CD, including album art. In addition, the reader travels periodically your library songs lacking album art. If it can match a song that is missing from the album art to an entry in the database online, the player will download the missing album art. For information about changing how the Player downloads album art and other media information, see the question bring the player to the difficulty of the media information automatically in media information: frequently asked questions.

Why is album art missing sometimes?

The player would not be able to download album art from the database in the following situations:

    • You are not connected to the Internet during extraction of a CD.

    • You are connected to the Internet, but the online database is missing album art (or there is no media information at all) for the CD you are ripping.

    • Your system administrator has prevented your computer to download items such as album art from the Internet.

    • You ripped the CD using one program other than Windows Media Player; doing so could prevent the player from a match in the database online.

Finally, if the online database contains album art wrong for a CD, the Player downloads this pouch.

The following procedures describe the methods that you can use to fix missing or incorrect album art.

  • How can I manually add album art?

The option 'Paste album art' is just completely absent. My file is not in read only mode, and the options in "find album info" do not have the correct album art. Each so-called answer that I find tells me to right click Paste album art, but this isn't something that is here!

    Hi NoodlesQueen,

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    2. is the specific question in the windows media player album art images?

    Method 1.

I suggest you to follow the steps in this article and check if that helps.

Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter

    Method 2.

Try to use the Troubleshoot utility to see if that solves the problem.

    a. open the troubleshooting Windows Media Player settings Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel.

    (b) in the search box, type "Troubleshooting" and then click Troubleshooting.

    c. click on show alland then click the Windows Media Player settings.

    Method 3.

Add or change album art in Windows Media Player: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Add-or-change-album-art-in-Windows-Media-Player

    I hope this helps.

  • List album art lost coin

Reloading XP auto updates installed WMP 9 (I guess I was on v8) who has lost all my art of the album from the playlist and half of my music. I can't find a way to get it back either. Any ideas?

    Hi eddie b
    Thanks for the reply
Turns out I'm a "retarded" even more than I thought. I should get it that reinstalling XP would move me back to an earlier version of the player than the automatic updates had taken me at the time I had run it.
Finally after several days of re-update itself MP itself shifted in version 11 and to the high jump my album art... I never had the chance to try your solution but thanks anyway. Probably this would have worked if I had a chance to try it but...
"Neanderthal computerman" return his images still.

    Thank you once again eddie

  • I need assistance, recovery of the album art for the songs on my I - pod.

Hello. Recently, I upgraded my I - pod to a gig of 64 of a 8-concert and I had the same problem with both. On the songs that I have purchased from I-tunes, the album art shows always upward. However, when I put a CD in my drive and import songs in my music library, sometimes I'm able to get album artwork and sometimes I'm not. I thought it was just a problem with Apple and I talked with two people separate tech from Apple who had me try a few things and the second person I spoke with told me that Windows XP is not fully compatible with I-tunes. A tech told me to create a new folder in My Documents and try to import album like this artwork. She imported the images of the album covers that I chose, but he kept in the Photos section of my I - pod and not in my library of music I would like. Y at - it a patch that I can download or a setting I need to change to allow me to still get the album artwork for my I - pod?

If you have the cover of the Album as a .bmp or .jpg file, you could 1. Right click on that, click on copy. 2, in the WMP library, on the Album corresponding icon, right click, click on paste album art. WMP then generates (reduced) as folder.jpg and AlbumartSmall versions. jpg in the folder containing the tracks.

Thanks for your reply. I use my computer to listen to music, just my I - pod, so I don't have my music library stored in Windows Media Player. I have a few songs I've saved on here well before I had my I - pod and I played a few songs on WMP, but it did not show the album art, just a blue screen with a 8th note symbol. Now, this particular album I played songs of was never officially released (the Group has lost a lot of people to their label at the time) so I could download the album on their site and I even the album cover together as my wallpaper on my computer, but still the album artwok does not appear when I play music on WMP. You have solutions that we can try?
