The meaning of life CSS...

The only good thing: I finished my first CSS site for act done in Dreamweaver CS5.  It of only four pages and is ugly words and poster beyong wildly in different browsers.  Customers are naïve enough to have paid for it, but their record has not yet arrived.  We shall see.

Now the test... I am a webmaster and my Behemoth, changes school every week, 50 page sites are coming due.  Oh dear!  Just one word for you, dear Adobe: you're really nice, but you don't know, don't you, teachers across the country began to curse you daily since the advent of CS5 that gave us some options inheritance?  PERSON in my group of county school webmaster can work CSS or CS5.  Deciding that it is a company for youth, we have organized our most brilliant students of tech, those who understand everything.  They could not work the new CS5/CSS Editor is. I heard that all schools in the County are spent Webdesign classes tech because of this. Just thought that Adobe would know.  Microsoft Word is the standard in its class, like Dreamweaver. I have a master user certificate in Word and can do great things.  But my father 75 years can use right out of the box, too.

Us all to be involved in the crime and so forth, I asked several times on this forum a usable in CS5 alternative, which is no longer a viable tool for the "occasional" user, as a poster recently pointed out.  It is correct.  I'm happy, is not to be a pro.  But only AFTER my people saw no other option that the abandonment of the $800 on the education of Creative Suite version am I talking Adobe Contribute.  Who can really simplify the web design?  Maybe I need to return this brand new copy of CS5. More information would be useful.  Until I read Nancy messages earlier, I had never heard of Contribute.

That said, damned straight on learning the only game in town, I still continue to struggle with CS5/CSS and will post my questions...

Question 1 – I downloaded the first five pages of my large site.  Four of them did not work.

Please visit: http://www.alex.k12.ok.us/pto/ptoindex.html.  The div contained on this page has suddenly gone black.  I have examined carefully the code and have no idea of what is wrong.  I have rebuilt the page of the template three times with the same result.  It's funny, laboratories of browser Adobe shows the site without the black.

Question 2 - take a look at this page: http://www.alex.k12.ok.us/board/boardindex.html.  I started to find ways to convince myself that I work with tabular data to justify using a table.  CS5 allows that, you know.  The buttons are just hard to reach.  Anyway at, the sixth paragraph in table views centered bigger, much bold.  It shows that way in Firefox.  Yet once, I saw the code with a microscope.  I see no difference between this paragraph and others.  But there's secrets in this life CSS that I don't understand.

Question 3 - a much more generic question is only asked because I use CS5 to create my pages.  I have systematically to validate my pages using the W3C html and CSS validators.  My CSS validated 100% of the time.  The HTML validator, however, returns errors, warnings and weather forecasts (a joke) I can't reference it in my code CS5.  Line numbers are incorrect, and when I finally find the alleged error, is NOT THERE.  The most common error, I pointed out that I forgot to close a paragraph thingy.  You know... < /p >.  But when I inspect the code, I find all the necessary structure.  Deciding that I was not the use of psychoactive substances is sufficient, I tried to do more with the same result.  What does that mean?

Question 4 - I have enough experience with CSS now know that inserting text in my model causes huge problems secondary to inserting images.  But I must have both and often.  Is is better just drop an image in, say, the content div, or should I put the pic in an own div?  Most of my photos are of legend, so I think that the only way I can do a caption under a photo is to create a div to hold the image and the caption.  Is there a big secret about this as well?

While I hear what you're saying, I think that you are tilting the statement inadvertently to support your argument.  CS5 is trying to force you using METHODS HTML STANDARD, resulting in a page that validates.  It necessarily comes to CSS.  It's not all about CSS, it's all about the STANDARDS of the CODE.

    On my model (Canvio Connect II) the port of blue led lights if connected to a port USB3 and white if connected to a USB2 (and probably USB1). I think the same thing applies to your model too.

    Several clues:

    1. HARD and SATA drive in the message... On the way SATA HARD drive
    2. Clicking noise, which is an early signal of imminent death for HARD drive (there are only two types of readers... those who died and those who will be)

    I would like to start keep good clones (CarbonCopyClone, bombich.com, $40) for external drives or backups Time Machine.  Any backup of the drive, not just your favorite parts.  Perform backups on a schedule without fail IMHO.

    You can also start to consider a SSD at macsales.com (their mercury collection is highly recommended) or a new HARD disk, at least start planning if the SSD cost is worth the benefit of speed on the HARD drive.  You can buy it later.

    Just my paranoid approach to this situation.

    Any ISO file name is just a name.  You can rename this one, for example, for "Windows Server 2008 Enterprise 32-bit Edition with SP2. ISO"and it means the same thing.
     
    If you want more precisely say Microsoft ISOs - well, can extrapolate you from the example?  ;-)

    Why name a file ISO in different ways?  It's a different ISO file.  Don't forget: an ISO file is simply an image of a CD or DVD.

    The short of it: it is usually the name of the product in there, the architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), the language (like the comparison you wanted, is a simplified Chinese and other English, because there is no moniker language) and the product part number (which is something useful only to resellers and Microsoft in many ways).

    I have a netbook that I use as an external 1 TB NAS with a hard drive device on my LAN.  I use it also for connection of MagicJack.  I have a firewall in my router and the only thing that that accesses this machine online is updated antivirus and places / receives calls from Magic Jack.  I don't respect the minimum specifications for Windows 7.

    If I keep this machine behind the firewall and prevent web access, it will be safe to stay with XP after the end of life?  MagicJack is a security breach?  My only other option is to switch to a Linux distribution, but I need to configure to run on a Windows network and it seems that you have to do back flips to get the MagicJack to work on Linux.
    Any advice will be appreciated.
