the mouse freezes

MacPro 2009 2.75 Hz, 2 - 2.93 GHz processors, internal drives of twins to, OS 10.11.1

It seems that since I've upgraded to El Capitan, my mouse is freezing periodically.  In fact, I have 2 mice.  One is a USB apple and others I've used for years which is a Wacom wireless mouse that runs my Wacom tablet.

They both freeze.  I am able to move on the screen, but do not click select anything, cannot force him to leave the system or dependence on the finder.  Zippo, nada, nothing.

Everyone knows this one?

In addition, this system does not have prefs.  For example, a picture of office which I like very much.  I put it and the next time that I reboot it disappeared.  Back to a blue desktop computer.

A

Disconnect the Tablet and see if there is an improvement.

B

1. If you connect automatically, a bug in some versions of Mac OS X will cause the desktop image to return to the default image to every start. The only known workaround is to disable auto sign in the window of preferences users and groups.

2. If the selected desktop image is stored in a library of photo on an external drive, please export of the library and move it to a folder on the boot volume. (Credit for this solution to ASC member Blue.)

3. If the image of the Office comes down to a blue background Uni, one of your login items may be causing the problem. "TeamViewer" application can have that effect. Otherwise, excludes all other items opening of third parties as a possible cause.

4. If you have a MacBook Pro with automatic switching, disable temporarily in the energy saver preferences window, define the image of the desktop, and then restart the computer and re - activate the change of graphics.

5. If none of the above applies to you, follow these steps.

Back up all data.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

~/Library/Application Support/Dock/desktoppicture.db

Right-click or Ctrl-click on the highlighted line and select

Services ▹ reveal in Finder (or just to reveal)

of the contextual menu.*, a file must open with a selected item. Move selected item to the trash. Log off or restart the computer, and empty the trash.

* If you do not see the item context menu copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.

  • The mouse freezes 7 64 pro. Weird.

So he just built my wife a computer and put a copy of Win7 64 pro there. Fee install, all parts of nine. Commission of military rank MSI. Core i5 haswell. 16 gb Ripjaw DDR3 1600. 3 TB WD SATA 6 Gbps. EVGA GTX740. Not top of the line, but a pretty solid configuration. Wife tried to get the mouse to the keyboard, so she ordered a few unwanted Perixx thought looked cute... Install fresh. Pilots from MB. Windows. To update everything. While this is happening mouse would randomly freeze during installation. Never one of my other USB devices. just the mouse. thought that was weird, but I reboot a lot and he would start just back from work at startup. Only to stop again shortly after, so I ignored the mouse and installation continues by using the only keyboard, understand was just a piece of *. All updated and went out and bought the wife a decent installation of Logitech. Did the same with the new mouse, regardless of port (USB3.0 or 2.0) or hub. Hung my Razer Imperator wired mouse that I use on my bench which is an older version of the installer of my wife. Does exactly the same thing. When I say freeze, it's freezing. Don't thaw the mouse except a reboot OR anything, oddly enough, when I hit CTRL ALT DEL thaws the mouse and I used again. but the second I'm going away from this screen it hangs again. I ran the real glove of internet resources. Try anything and everything I can find in the forums, flashing the BIOS to disable USB3.0 all the way until it is deactivated hubs USB windows power management. I tried three different installs slate. But it's always the same thing. The mouse freezes completely between 2-5 minutes after the start. The fact in safe mode. I tried to disable and uninstall utilities that came with my motherboard as I suspected it might have been the cause. Installing and uninstalling the drivers, update of drivers for everything. Even Microsoft intellipoint. Nothing fixes this, any mouse or what port I use. For the love of God someone please point me in the right direction before that I need to be validated.

  • The mouse freezes intermittently

I have the same problem, this is clearly mentioned in the LienSuivant. According to what I do the program in the program, the mouse can freeze in 5 minutes or 2 hours or 6 hours. I tried to check the malicious software and hardware to the lpost below, but the pages do not open.

I went in Mode safe and for a few of the prograns I've tried, I don't have a problem. The first time I remember having the problem was after updating a version of Messenger MS (not for long) of the updated but which might have nothing to with him. I have full system back ups for a month, when I did not have the problem and could restore some files if I knew what to restore.

    Help, please

    Hi Macon21,

    1. you can follow the manual procedure (method 2) from the link I mentioned and hone in on the issue.

    2. Add to my suggestion, you can also try the steps from the link below: Troubleshooting a wireless mouse that does not correctly:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321122

    3. Furthermore, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the mouse drivers, follow these steps to access the Device Manager and delete the mouse drivers.

Note: before you uninstall and reinstall I would say lets you create a system restore manually, so that in this case, a problem occurs when performing these steps, you can always perform a system restore.

To create system restore point: how to set a system restore point in Windows XP:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948247

    a. Click Start.

b in the start search box type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

    c. expand mouse and pointing device.

    d. right-click on the mouse device installed and click on uninstall.

Note: after you uninstall the mouse from the Device Manager, it will not work. You use the keys on the keyboard to restart the computer.

Note: during the uninstallation of the device, make sure that you place a tick against 'delete the driver for this device '.

    e. restart the computer and check if it works very well.

  • The mouse freezes randomly at the start of Vista PC

Once a week, when I start my PC from a cold start or when I do a reboot for some reason, I find that the mouse pointer freezes in the middle of the screen.  There is no pattern as to when this happens.  Sometimes this will happen twice a day.  Sometimes, it will not happen for several days.  But it will happen eventually.  I have to use the Tab key to scroll to close off the computer; After I turn it back on it is generally acceptable.  (A time-out of a hundred of the mouse is still frozen and I repeat the process.)  I use Vista 32 bit and a HP Media Center PC.  Ideas or suggestions how to solve this problem?

It's a question of Logitech Setpoint... by John.Wilkinson -5/3/08 08:02 in response to: mouse and music freeze Vista
I have a Logitech Desktop computer call easy and have encountered the same thing. After trying some generic drivers, different keyboard/mouse, etc. I discovered that the problem with audio driver delivered with record 4.00BR. (Your mouse takes Setpoint 4.40, but I guess there is a similar issue.) From time to time the driver will be glitch while a sound is played, leading all other devices related to the set value (in my case mouse and keyboard stop working. In my case I uninstalled the Setpoint software, manually removed all Logitech keyboard/mouse/sound drivers via Device Manager, and then reinstalled and solve the problem itself. In your case, if you do not have a Logitech sound system, you should be able to solve the problem simply by manually deleting these Logitech audio drivers and reboot, then updates driver for your sound card from the website of the manufacturer of the sound card.

I found a lot of people have had this problem and uninstall setpoint helped solve the problem. It would be interesting to try.

  • The mouse freezes and disappears in Windows 8

I've seen a lot of discussions on this problem on here, but no resolution.  Each aid seems to have everyone check their settings, but I never see no follow-up, indicating that it is resolved.

I did everything suggested, including relocation or installation of drivers more recent but less specific and eventually went back to reinstall the drivers installed initially.  That's what I see:

I have a Toshiba laptop, P845T, with a 3.1 Microsoft desktop receiver connection model 4000 wireless keyboard and Laser Mouse 5000.

I loaded a few pointer graphics (HAL9000) if different from the standard in order to follow when the mouse is pointing upwards and disconnect it see where are.  Here's what I see:

When I start the computer from a stop, I almost always comes back to the standard mouse pointers.  At some point during the day, they will disappear.  The mouse is essentially functional, but difficult to use because I have to constantly use the CTRL key to know where he is.  IE10 and MS Word seem to be triggers, but I could not confirm this.

Before or after a failure, but once restored to the default settings of the mouse, I can open the control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Mouse and get the mouse properties window.  On the "pointers" tab, I see the pattern that I have previously downloaded and saved as one asset/chosen, but I actually use the mouse in endangered or by default until I hit OK or apply.  Please note that I have not changed a thing on the window - only watched and clicked OK.

I hope someone can tell me something I've not seen many times seen as questions on several previous posts.  I'm sure I got something wrong or do something wrong, but I'm quite frustrated.  The mouse still seems to disappear when I haven't the time to restart and reset.

    Hello

In the face of this problem if you use the built-in touchpad drivers?

This problem can occur if the mouse drivers are not installed properly or the drivers are not compatible with the operating system.

You can upgrade the laptop Chipset drivers and check if that helps resolve the issue.

Visit this link for more information about how to download and install the latest Chipset drivers.

  • The mouse freezes when the cursor changes icon

Hello. The problem is that when the cursor changes its icon for example when taking screenshot with cmd + shift + 4 it freezes until I'll click. Basically, it moves only when selected. It is annoying when I'm working in C4D where when you draw cursor change and makes it almost impossible but it's not in Photoshop.  Someone has experienced something like this? Or maybe some ideas what the problem is?

I want to mention that this happens only on one of the two user accounts on the computer
