The new firefox uses a lot too much RAM compared to Chrome or Internet Explorer.

Before an administrator reacts, please read, because I noticed that many times on this topic in other threads, the admins will respond as the caricature of the characters, not really listen to what people say.
I have no extensions or add-ons - Firefox (latest version), Chrome (latest version) and Internet Explorer. When I have a blank page open, and 52 M of RAM uses only a single page, Chrome, IE uses 47 M, and Firefox uses 153 M. It's a freshly reinstalled copy, I have no preference at all, no, bookmarks nothing. Can someone explain why Firefox is forced to use three times more memory than its two competitors?

The problem was that number of tabs was directly proportional to the RAM (1 page ~ 120M, 2 p ~ 240M, etc.). I have a fast computer, but was limited to three legs, and then everything became marshy. In fact, I discovered what it was. A Flash video extension downloader was inappropriate for the JAVA plug-in applications. I have no idea why this was happening, as the GUI for flash video downloader doesn't have Java, and the site that I was downloading is a medical site that uses flash as a protocol of Embedment for their video playback. Anyway, weird, but resolved. If all appears to be a random problem with the new version of FF, it can be flash-video downloader. A rather random shit page (homepage of Yahoo) is now only have access to 72 M of RAM, a reasonable person are all things considered.
And forgive my aggression. I frequently don't forget that everything is life and death.

    Say hello to new parthcool.

It is a normal behavior of a browser like Chrome or Firefox.  You run several tabs in Chrome?  Chrome treats each tab as a separate instance of the browser and for this purpose a separate process.  It is a good feature because it means that a hanging web page will not (usually) bring down the browser everything.  However, this means that Chrome uses a lot of RAM.

Using intensive plugins memory within these tabs, like Adobe Flash, will greatly increase the amount of memory used.

Here is a screencap of my own memory used within Chrome.  I did open Chrome before that and I currently have seven tabs.  This represents about 400 MB with pages containing the text for most.

Unfortunately, because this is a consequence of the features of the browser itself, there are only a few options to solve the problem.  You can try to minimize the amount of memory that Chrome uses by following the instructions in this article.

Your second option is to upgrade your laptop to include more memory.  You also extend the usefulness of your laptop.  If you want to go this route, I need your product number to locate the appropriate parts and information.  Follow this document to locate the product number.

Finally, and this is probably the most effective solution, is to use the Ready Boost of the window function.  Ready Boost allows you to use Flash memory, such as a USB key, as secondary memory for your computer.  Here's a great thread in which explains how to use Ready Boost.

I hope you find this useful parthcool; have a great day!

  • Svchost.exe file LocalSystemNetworkRestricted using too much RAM

The file svchost.exe (LocalSystemNetworkRestricted) uses too much RAM, almost 1/2 of it.  There are also several svchost.exe files (no limit) and the indexer uses a lot of RAM too. I have already associated the indexer return. I suspect that it is the cause of my favorite right-click with windows Explorer.  I have 4 GB of RAM, small basic programs, file clean constantly and the computer is still slow.  How can I fix it?  Test/scan etc. ?  HELP.............................

  • How can I import my old passwords of key3.db key3 and files for the new firefox signons.sqlite 41.0?

I recently updated my PC and my old hard drive in system is placed as a slave in my new PC. Seen key3 and signons.sqlite key3.db files of the old firefox, how to import passwords saved in the new firefox 41.0?

    Thank you.

How old was the older Firefox? Firefox 33 and then use this pair of files:

    • logins. JSON -. saved passwords.
    • signons3.txt - this file stores your database key for your passwords.

If you want to move the old in your current profile (to replace new empty files for the most part), this is the fastest way to open your folder of the currently active profile. Either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename logins.json to something like logins.old and key3db to something like key3.old.

Now copy the old two files in this folder.

Launch Firefox back up again. These connections are available?
